I have drawn a square and would like to fill it with gradient color. But I wonder where can I find it. One more question, how can I change the transparency of an image/bitmap picture?

If you paste above code in 1st frame of your scene with nothing on your scene, it will give you sweet rotating rays!
I have some problem with gradient fill in Flash Pro CS5 For example I want to fill some rectangle with reflected gradient. When I click on one of the buttons in ColorMixer Panel (Extend, Reflect, or Repeat) nothing is changed - Reflect and Repeat options seems to doesn't work.

Has there been an update this weekend thats broke masking I have tried to gradient mask an object both by using a vector mask and a png mask. NONE OF THEM WORK! Last week it woeked - and nooene else here at my job can get it to work either.Gradient masks are just shows by a square. No way of of getting smooth edges (gradients on a masked object anymore).
View 13 RepliesI'm having trouble with the Flash CS5 Bone Tool, Everytime I create 2 sets of objects whether its legs or arms, when I duplicate them. break them apart and make a second set of arms and legs, the two characters I assign them to, swap around when I saved them. So one has arms instead of legs and legs instead of arms, but the other character is completely unaffected. I move the bones within the symbols and they return to normal but then it affects the other character and vice versa.
View 1 RepliesI recently installed the CS5 Master Collection on my MacPro for work. I need to use Flash CS5 in order to work on some projects in the office, however I'm encountering several issues that make it near impossible for me to use the software. First of all, when I start the program and select "New..." and select any type of new file, I'm greeted by nearly every button being greyed out, to where I cannot select them. I've found out that I can make these buttons usable by changing my workspace in Flash.
The issue that's causing me trouble is that whenever I select any sort of "Drawing" tool, Flash CS5 crashes immediately. Whenever I click on the line, pen, circle, rectangle, pencil, or brush tools, CS5 freezes briefly (about 2-3 seconds) and then immediately closes. I can still use tools such as the Pan tool, zoom, text, and selection tool. Also, whenever I select the Spray Can tool, I get the following error:
Unable to load the script. The file <filepath>/ProScripts/sprayBrush.jsx does not exist.
I have already tried updating my system, updating every Adobe product on this machine, reinstalling, and even using a seperate installation CD, but everything thus far has yielded the same results.
Info on my system:
MacPro running OS X V. 10.6
2 x 2.26 GHx quad-core proocessors
12 GB DDR3
for one reason or another, my brush tool only allows me to select color and smoothing. Stroke, style, scale, and everything else is grayed out and will not let me change it.

With one fla opened, i select "ESSENTIAL" in workspace, the interface, turn on, but when i select a draw tool orchange any preference on Flash CS5 Trial on Snow Leopard, the flash allways crash and close without message. 1. There has a subtle difference between a static text field in flash authoring tool which has been set to use the device font when it's got focus(state that user can type character in) and lose focus;
2. There also has a subtle difference between when it is being rendered in flash player and in flash authoring tool.(Note that the key factor here is setting the text field to use device font.)
transparent gradient not importing as designed. I created a button in Illustrator and exported as SWF. When I imported into Flash, it is displaying improperly (flawed). What is the full-proof solution for this?

I have a transparent png bubble in movie clips that are being randomly sized and animation started using code. The design has a reflection and I am using a gradient mask for the effect. The issue is when the bubbles animate they are causing drawing artifacts. View 2 RepliesI see that the background music in my Flash site is located in a symbol called muz When I click the properties of this symbol, the sound file's location is listed as.flashsoundmuz.wav I couldn't find that sound sub-folder in the flash folder nor could I find the file. I tried doing a search to look for the muz.wav file in my computer but it could not be found. Does anyone know how I can find and save this file?

To be specific the program is a game called 'Realm of the mad god' originally a browser game but is now also a free to play steam title, Having browsed through the config files I couldnt find anything talking about resolution and I was wondering if there are any advanced flash features that allow the user to force the application to run a specific resolution.
PS: I don't have the highest hopes but I thought if anybody knew it would be someone from the flash community.

I found that .fla files do not save in Flash CS4 when the Deco tool or Spray Brush tool is selected. Is this a bug? Or is there a workaround to this issue.
