need that the application will display contents that location on a server on the web.I have several html documents that locate on a secure server. I need that the application displays those pages (like a browser) sow If I'll change the html documents on the server, the application will display the new changed pages.I need that the html documents and the data they contain will not be embedded on the application but just display by the application.
I created a simple button that displays an error messeage: "error opening 'url" when I test the movie, but does play and opens in browser after publishing. However, it won't open in the browser in a different location. I pasted the html code in a web page but it doesn't work there nor opens in the browser in a differnet location from where it was originally published and saved. Why is that?

The author shows a function that is supposed to trace the contents of any display object. In his example file he has several nested movie clips on the stage and everything works just as it should, this is the code.

The problem I am having is that when I open a new actionScript 3 .fla and try to recreate the nested movie clips and use the same code I get these errors:

Seems like something easy, but I don't see it in the docs. If I have a movieClip or sprite that is 200x200, and I generate an object that is 300x300 and add it as a child of the original mc, how do I clip the bounds so that I don't see content outside of the original mc? Do I have to create and apply a mask?

I have followed the XML Video tutorial and everything works fine however Lee says you can use a movie clip to display the contents of the XML file instead of one of Flash's built in components. Is there a way to create your own drop down menu or simple text field?
I would like to send data from PHP to Flash however, it sends just fine but when displaying on Flash, it does not display the contents in the variable. Instead, it displays the name of the variable. This may be a simple answer but I'm quite new to this. Here is the code in Flash.

We have an application that works no problems on our server with FMS in test mode. As soon as we enter our FMS license key we get this error: "application is not a valid signed application loading access denied".We removed the license key and it works again, but with user limits obviously, so this is not an acceptable fix.

What do I need to do to make RTMP videos work from SAN directory on Flash Streaming Server. It works fine for http. RTMP from vod -> application folder works fine. FLV files are not getting saved at the particular location mentioned in the application.xml file on FMS. Instead we are getting log in the log folder and instance which is joined to the FMS in the http folder on the FMS. Is their any way to find out why we are not getting saved those files at that location?

I am trying to obtain the variables/contents of a php or a text file from my server using loadVars(), and the problem is that flash can get data from almost every server but from mine. (some shared hosting service) I just tried the code provided in the help files:

I'm sure that I did no mistake in typing the URL, for it works fine in the browser (also no spaces, no freaky chars), and when i change the URL to another domain (and put the txt file on that server) everything works fine. I tried both possibilities "network access" and "local access" as well as running from an exe projector. But no chance.
According to flashmediaserver_3.5_config_admin.pdf (FMS 3.5.3), FMS determines the correct directory to use for streams in the following order: Virtual directory (as specified in <VirtualDirectory>) Storage directory (as specified in <storageDir>) Default location (the streams folder in the application directory)
So I created a folder called streams in C:Program FilesAdobeFlash Media Server 3.5applicationsvod. I thought this folder would be the default location for the sample application vod. I did not change any configuration settings for the application vod. Everything was set by the FMS 3.5.3 installer. I copied sample.flv into C:Program FilesAdobeFlash Media Server 3.5applicationsvodstreams and renamed it to sample6.flv. rtmp://{fms ip}/vod/sample6.flv d Did not play in the sample video player installed by FMS 3.5.3. Is this a bug or the default location "streams" folder is simply not "default", you have to set it somewhere in XML?
