Professional :: Button Opens Wrong Scene Flash Cs5?

I have a project set up as scenes.In scene 1 there are two buttons visible from the frame 1licking on these takes us to scene 3 or 4. They work fine. I used code snippet "Click to Go to Scene and Play" the action script is on a keyframe on frame 1 as that is the first frame the buttons appear.From frame 120 a third button appears. So on this frame I have actionscript go to and play scene 5.Problem is it goes to scene 3 instead, like the firstbutton. The buttons are not near each other on screen so its not a case of accidentally clicking wrong button.I think maybe I should've set up my project as movie clips within 1 timeline but I'm too far down the scene route now to change it at this stage.the buttons are all invisible so maybe the third button should also be present from frame 1 and just disabled until frame 120?

ive made a button in the scene 1 which i have managed to navigate to scene 2 but when i click the button it goes to scene 2 but displays everthing that is in scene 1 in scene 2, how can sort this out so upon the button click in scene 1 it goes to scene 2 and only display content in scene2.

I'm having a huge problem with my Flash file; here is what I'm trying to do and whats happening:
I have a scene where with a movie clip that is controlled by the keyboard, when it hit a certain point of the stage it opens a new scene where a certain animation should happen.
The problem is every time the animation hits that certain point the code I was using continues running and flash shows me an error message.

How can I make this code work only on the scene its placed so I won't get this ERROR?

I created a simple button that displays an error messeage: "error opening 'url" when I test the movie, but does play and opens in browser after publishing. However, it won't open in the browser in a different location. I pasted the html code in a web page but it doesn't work there nor opens in the browser in a differnet location from where it was originally published and saved. Why is that?

I've got a TitleWindow with 2 buttons in it. One button is in the contentgroup and the other in the controlbargroup. Titlewindow and buttons are styled with chromecolor.

As I didn't find another place for Flash Player 10.1 standalone-subjects (only 10.2. or the browser-players),When I open my .swf with double-click from the finder, it opens in FP 10.1. - but an _older_ project (which is located in a completely different place) will load! And it opens twice No matter, what new .swf I am creating, it's always this old file that will start.When opening the same .swf in FPlayer 9, it works fine.

I'm getting this error in the OUTPUT window, when I PREVIEW (COMMAND + RETURN) my SWF:
ArgumentError: Error #2109: Frame label nGallery_btn not found in scene Scene 1.
at flash.display::MovieClip/gotoAndStop()
at BrookBrovazMusic004_fla::MainTimeline/pageSelect()

I believe I'm not alone in this problem but I don't see any answers in any of the forums.I have a movie clip that has a button that I wish to take me and play my first scene at frame 1.I labeled my the 1st frame "startLabel" and my scene is named "mainScene", and that's where I want to go from my "button" that is placed in my "movie clip symbol scene".

I have a movie and after the intro the enter button takes me to the next frame (11) and stops. there i have a drop down menu with button instances on each of the drop downs. The drop down is in a movie clip so i am using on (release) {_root.gotoAndPlay("s1"); } on the button instances to take me to root level to say frame 12 and stops. Each button instance has a different frame label to go to, s1, s2 etc - the idea being that back at root level i can have the content of each of the buttons on each of the frame labels (s1 at frame 12 , s2 at frame 13 etc) .... this works fine except the drop down menu in each of these new frames retains the action script on the drop down button instances - this is fine for all the buttons that will take me to another content page at root level - what i dont want is the AS to remain on the button for the page i am currently on - cos if you click on it it takes you back through the intro etc to get to its frame label again .

Is there any way I can embed HTML in flash? I know I can do this with text boxes but is there any other way I can do it? If not I know theres is the load feature where I can load text from a text file. With the html text box editing, Can i link that to the text file?. As in when you edit the text box with html could i have the textbox's instance name equal to the text file? With this my issue is with the <a href> in one textbox, I would like when i click those it open another text file in a different text box.
Clarification: I have two text boxes in my flash file.One has current products. And the other is the description of the product they select. I would like a way to edit and change the products in the first text box without having to keep using the FLA file. Which is why i am using this code

I have both CS3 and CS4, I now work only in CS4 with some exceptions. If I open CS4 start a new project then save after working in it the file saves with the cs3 icon. When I doubleclick the file to open it defaults back to opening in CS3.Only way to have files default and open in CS4 is to choose the icon of the CS3 (which is really a CS4 file) and choose open with other, choose the CS4 app and click on it so it opens in CS4 and then only does the icon changes to a cs4 icon.

I have a movieclip that gets loaded from the menu (addchild) from that movieclip I press a button which makes the loaded movieclip go to frame 15, on that frame the external swf loads. THEN when I press a button after that the button animation just flickers and no reaction when I click it.

I'm making a Jeopardy game. When someone clicks on the button with the dollar amount on it, I have it reset to a different scene on the button so the players know it has been used. When another button is clicked, the first button resets back to its original dollar amount, rather than the blank scene it was reset to.

I'm creating a demo presentation that uses imported MP3 audio and static images basically panning around - simple stuff. I have it broken down into scenes to be more manageable. So at the end of a scene, I'll have this line:
gotoAndPlay(1, "Scene 2");
Which works just fine.
The problem is during the playback of the SWF, I get odd skips, generally at the beginning of a scene. Is this expected when using multiple scenes? Is it possibly something to do with the audio playback? I'm trying to make sure the MP3s do not start at exactly the beginning of the scene, but I'm still getting the problem.
Also, are there any tips on including MP3 audio to make things smoother? I'm running at 18 FPS.

I am new to Flash and I am working on updating a website that was created by co-workers in 2009.I was not here when it was created and those people are no longer here to help me out.The website is URL...I am simply trying to update a few of the photos in the flash file that plays on a few of the pages.We recently upgraded from CS2 to CS5.5 and I am working on a PC.When I try to open the SWF file in the Flash Application, it only lets me play it through the player and I'm not granted access to any of the editing tools(see image).I recently found a photoshop file where it looks like they created the animation, but I'm confused how they saved it as an SWF file.

I'm making a Flash animation in Flash CS4, using motion tweens to change positions and sizes of objects on stage. I frequently open the animation file and find a motion-tweened object has been moved to a new position from the one it was in when I last saved the file. All the frames in the tween seem to be affected. If I open the file again without saving, the object is still in the wrong position. I have had to redo or substantially correct a big tween several times. It's wasting time, and I can't rely on my work being in the state that I saved it last. I think the problem happens to the files when I open them after starting up Flash.

I am creating a webpage in flash, and for now, it consists of 3 scenes. First one is a loading bar, scene 2 is a main page with all menus, and on 3rd scene there is a gallery. I plan to make many galleries, each in different scene. Everything is ok to the moment, when I want to go back from scene 3 to scene 2. Scene 2 consists of many layers and movieclips, however, the main timeline consists only of one frame. When, in scene 2, I will get to the moment from which I am going to scene 3, so to some gallery, then after I am comming back to scene 2 (via gotoAndPlay('Scene 2', 1)), I am getting to scene in a state, as I see it just after loading bar disappears. But I want to be in a place, from which I went to scene 3. How do I achieve this? I think, there should be a way of remembering status of the scene 2 in such a way, that after comming back from scene 3 I would be in the same place from which I left to the mentioned scene 3. Be advised, that scene 2 is in one frame, and all movement in the scene 2 is done by actionscript and movieclips. I am using AS2.0.
