Mar 11, 2011I have a button in my application and I want it to respond a bit in a special way. Initially the label color of the button is White, I want the color of the text to change to 50% white on the Over State and to 25% on the Down state. Is this possible?
I tried an alternative way using css which does not do the percentage stuff but only changes the color (see css code below), but this does not seem to work. I more specifically want the color to change in terms of percentage like I mentioned above.
Note that I am using the Skin file only to loads images for each state on the button.

May 18, 2010i'm trying to create a unordered list in Flex. My issue is that within each line, i want the word NEW to be a different font color and different font size from the rest of the label text. I am unsure of how to do this INLINE within the label component.

Feb 10, 2010I've got a huge survey I've made with lots and lots of groups of radio buttons. There are maybe 60 questions with 6 buttons each. Of these, I have a couple of groups that are really misbehaving. What's happening is for one question, the first button in the group seems independent of the rest. That is, I can check the first radio button and it never turns off when clicking others in the same group.
All my code is right. I'm using the exact same code with all the other groups and only two groups aren't working right. Ha. That's the funny thing, though, because everything works fine IN Flash, but publishing to a web page, these two groups stop working right.FWIW, I've set the first instance of the radio button with a name like "G10" then all the buttons in the group have the group name "Q10".I've tried several ways of fixing this including deleting the whole group and adding them again, copying a working group and renaming the parts. Nothing. The one thing that has worked (and don't ask me why) but adding a new single radio button with a new instance and group name has fixed other problem groups but not these two.

Apr 24, 2011I have created a movieclip that is simply asking a question and the user chooses from a list of Radio buttons.I have set this up and it works fine, but I cannot figure out how to set up a "Next" button or a "Submit" button that, depending on the radio button choice made, the user goes to a specific frame or label.I bought the Adobe Flash CS5 bible, but there seems to be little information on controlling Radio buttons, only how to set them up to test.

Nov 4, 2011I usually program with C#, PHP, html etc.trying to learn Adobe Flash now so i downloaded the trial version which has 30 days trial.tried to create and follow the tutor for click ball which all of the code is the same but it doesnt work.
I triple check the code and its all right but it still not working.so i commented out all of the code and has a simple code of changing the text of the label.i set the text to "abcdefg" and but it only show "cdef".i expanded the width of the label so width is not the issue. trying to search for the limitation of the trial but i dont see any.trying to test this before i buy it.it does change but not changing correctly.i try to set to another value it always show partially only.

Feb 19, 2010I have 6 radio buttons spilt into two groups of 3 and one normal button.The first group of radio buttons correspond to colour and the second to texture.My aim is for the user to be able to chose a colour, then chose a texture by use of the radio buttons, click on the normal button named 'create' which loads a corresponding jpg onto another part of the stage according to the colour & texture selection.I am totally stuck on how to code the buttons so this can happen.I'm sure there is an easy (ish) way for this to happen, but i'm no expert and haven't been able to find it or work it out.I've named each radio button individually, grouped the two sets of radio buttons for colour & texture and named the normal button.

Mar 11, 2010If I have say 7 buttons, each containing text that changes color on rollover using the "Up" "Over" and "Down" keyframes in the buttons' timeline. Is there a simple way to get the button's text to change color when clicked, stay that way, and then change back to the original color once one of the other 6 buttons are clicked?
The only thing I can come up with is writing pages of code for each button that changes the color of every other button regardless of whether it was active.
