Professional :: Create A Video Showing The World-wide Population Growth Of Company From 1830 Until Now
Jan 31, 2011
I need to create a video showing the world-wide population growth of company from 1830 until now. I have a spreadsheet with the dates of when each unit opened. I would like to have a spot on the right location on a map glow as each unit open up. Is there a way to do this in Flash or Flash Builder? Some similar videos I've seen are: [URL]
I would like to make videos like [URL]. They are pretty amazing for how simple they are...They accurately show what the company or service does. They did Google Doc's Videos and a lot of other companies videos. How would I create these. I know flash but what else and what skills would I need to have to accomplish making these?
I am trying to create an app used to display my company's portfolio. This includes a show-reel section.I developed it using HTML and jQuery, and converted it into an AIR app using the plugin for Dreamweaver.Admittedly this my first attempt at creating an app this way, but it all went smoothly until I wanted to play the video.
My Flash video player does not work, and according to some similar posts I read this is because of a referencing issue. I found several solutions for Flex, but that does not help my specific case.HTML 5 does not seem to work in AIR 2.0 either, so I am a bit stumped.
I have attached a video on a frame of my website in Flash. When I preview the movie the film plays as it should. But when I export the Fla. as a Swf. file it then doesn't have the movie there anymore? It does show this error:
**Warning** The linkage identifier 'FLVPlayback' was already assigned to the symbol 'Video/FLVPlayback', and cannot be assigned to the symbol 'FLVPlayback', since linkage identifiers must be unique.
I need to create an image upload app for our company's facebook page. I've been able to successfully create the app on facebook and it pulls from a location on our web server. Right now it's just an index.cfm file with hello world in it.We're having a photo contest and what we need to do is provide a quick form (name, email, phone, photo to upload, and photo description). When a user fills out the form and uploads the image, the image shows on our app with the description and then we are notified that someone has uploaded and image.
Right now I am creating a game kinda like the helicopter game. I have been trying to decide how make my world. I tryed drawing the entire thing and then just have it play through in a motion tween (classic tween) but that was way to time consuming. Also when you hit the objects in this world you die and its game over just like in the helicopter game.
Has anyone created a custom map chart of the world using Flash 8? I read in few places that its possible with a component but cannot seem to find the right one.
I need to create a custom heat map (map chart) which is based on the global map, and shows the performance all of the world's unemployment rate. Some alike this interactive swine flu map
However this is a map software but I need a component so to integrate the map inside my own flash application, is there a Flash 8 component which made it easier to create such map?
I have a display box on the stage and I am having trouble getting the x and y coordinates to sync on the createTextfield box. The width and height are correct when I test it. The textfield does not show up in mcDisplayBack. How do I get them to line up?
Script var nWidth:Number = mcDisplayBack._width; var nHeight:Number = mcDisplayBack._height;
- Is there a benefit to hosting FLV files on a Flash Media Server when they are under 2-3 minutes?I've been working on a couple different video projects as of late... some are simple web player with 30 second ads and others are working with longer videos like 2-3 minutes. I currently have an FLV hosting provider running Flash Media Server but with videos so small don't they download for the user as progressive anyway and there is no real benefit whether I am using my FLV host or my traditional web host?
i also use a separate video hosting company to handle my mobile videos mainly because I am a bit naive on how that works as well. I had a project with straight links to play video on mobile phones (with three different version served up based on OS). But it seems like most of those were progressive downloads as well.
I'm trying to dynamically create an empty text field with as at 560px wide, fill it with a bunch of text (one line) and continuously scroll it from left to right using hscroll and setInterval. I've read all kinds of specs about createTextField and hscroll but I can't get it to work. I ouputted the mytext.hscroll value and it's always at 0;
i was curious on what i would need to incorparate flash to my business website rather than the service we are using currently. We have noticed that the flash images on our website are having issues loading and getting stuck currectly. My website address is http:[url]... there is flash type images at the top of the page as well as the middle.
I'm starting to use Flash again after many years. I created a simple movie on my company website.I have it set to play once and stop not to loop. I was asked to see if I could have it play once and stop like I have, but then have it replay when you mouse over.
I'm trying to create a flash video that will incorporate powerpoint-like slides along with video footage. So for instance I will have slide 1 (graphic) - slide 2 (video clip) - slide 3 (text). I have used CS4 before for one of my classes but that was a little while ago, and I feel like I'm starting over again. When I import the first graphic (.png), is there an option to have it resize to fit the stage?
I'm getting "Application descriptor file cannot be parsed" before I've done anything -- see screencast at I've spent several hours trying various dialog boxes within Flash to change air/publish settings, editing XML file by hand, trying to launch things using AIR SDK outside of Flash, googling for something similar, but I can't seem to come up with anything that works.I'm curious if other people follow the steps I followed in the screencast if they get different results. I think they must, as I'm just following the first couple of steps from
I need to build a website with a virtual 3D world. I found a few products that can do it but I want so advise on which ones are leading the pack with the brightest futures. So far TheoWorlds and OpenSpace show some promise.
I have an SWF movie (1375 frames) and created a progress bar (248px wide) with a slider that moves according to the movie progress. I'm doing that next way:Calculating the distance for the slider to be moved each frame (248 / 1375) On each ENTER_FRAME moving the slider for the calculated distance The problem is - the movie ends far before the slider reaches the end of the progress bar.
I'm thinking that the distance (Step 1) is is somehow ends floored by Flash and the actual distance it moves the slider is smaller than required. That's why the movie ends, but the timeline control just passed the 2/3 of its way. My question is - is there any solution for the problem? Or any other way to go, if it's a wrong one?
With several flashes I'm trying to create, I find that I need to know how to depict a line being drawn or a plant/vine growing (same concept right). Obviously frame-by-frame animation can be used, but that's quite tedious. There must be some other, more productive way to pull it off. Example of the vine: [URL] I've tried shape tweens with shape hints but it didn't render very well at all.
I have this code inside of my fla. What I want to try to do is to have an external file to populate this. The mm_array and all of the sm#_arrays are used in the rest of the code to build the navigation. Whats the best solution? XML?[code]...
I've been using the "Reusable Preloader Using MovieClipLoader" from the tutorial section of this site. The only difference is that i don't use'm for preloading jpg. I load external swf files containing video. Everything works fine so far. The only problem is that the preloaded video already starts playing while preloading (at about 30%), but without showing the video. This is the code i have so far:
I have preloader bar of loading video. If i use NetStream actions bytesLoaded and bytesTotal to create preloader this show how many bytes are loaded I want to create how many seconds of video file are loaded. The same preloader are on youtube player. If i use NetStream actions and if i move slider of position to end of preloader bar video is no playing from place where i put slider but slider are go back, and then video is playing. I want to video are playing from place where i put slider.
I would like to create a flip book which deploys flv video similar to the example below.
[URL]
I have purchased the HTML version of Flippingbook from the site below but have encountered various problems, in that it only supports Flash 9 +actionscript 2.0. Also the facility is problematic with zooming swf files. Great for flat brochures but not able to deploy flv video within swf files which is a shame.
I need to create a promotional video that needs to be installed in video bulletin board.I am provided the draft of the powerpoint presentation and also with the images. Also this video needs to be in HD quality.I am not sure, where and how to start from.I have Flash CS5 Pro software and Photoshop.
1. Create new page and chose Flash File (ActionScript 3.0)
2. Imported mp4 video to stage
3. Selected Load External Video with playback component
4. Then File/Export Export Movie then File Publish Preview/HTML
.swf or html showing video on source machine but on another machine (All files copied into one folder) I do not see it.
This other machine is using Firefox 3.5.6 which has Flash Player 10.0.42.34 installed. It doesn't matter if I click on the .swf or html I still see no video. Only player control and some sorta working animation.
I have tried several ways to import a movie and create a web banner. I created a project in After Effects and exported as both an flv and an f4v. I imported to Flash with no skin and set the project to the same size as the content. When I test the scene, everything is fine. When I do a publish preview, all is well. If I view the published html file on teh computer I created it on, that works. If I try it from another machine on my network, or send the directory with all the files to others, it shows nothing - just a blank page with the flash object there, but no movie.
Flash CS4 Pro I created a Flash video, which when previewing locally works fine, but then I upload the files to the webserver, then nothing is displayed, I only see a white area where the Flash video should have been (no broken image icon, see the attached jpg file, it shown an white area where the video is suppose to appear).
Currently I cannot get my flash file to show up on one section of my webpage in firefox, but it loads fine in all other browsers. This is the second flash file that I have added and the first one works perfectly fine. The website files are all .php and is driven by templates.
I have wmode set to opaque as before and haven't used any different publishing .smv settings. However to have it show up I have to change the php file for the webpage and add a "/" to the <param name="movie" value="/new.swf" /> line before the movie file name. The file is placed in the directory.
The tricky thing is that in the other movie I didn't have to place this / sign and it works in all browsers. I have republished and republished and can't get anything to work.[url]...
I have created a Flash Video in Flash 8 and published and picked up in Dreamweaver 8. Published files were sample.swf, sample.html and SteelExternalAll.swf (skin). Publish settings were: Format - Flash SWF and HTML; default Flash settings with local playback security set to access local files only; default HTML settings.
In Dreamweaver, sample.html is accessed via an iframe in test.php. In Preview mode, everything is as it should be with the Video showing. The problem is, when I upload all the files to the Server, the video is not displayed including the skin. Instead, all I get is the border of the iframe with a red rectangle showing where the video should be.
