Jul 8, 2011Im trying to do a "Pano" 360 flash app from scratch. Using Away3D I should apply an stereographic image very well, everything is working well.But looking in some apps on web (like Panorama), they load only 6 images and somehow they "merge" this 6 images and, I suppose, apply this merge into the sphere 3D. Or it doesnt use a sphere and make kinda illusion of sphere?Could you help me find out how can I merge the images and "apply" those flat, separate images, in my Sphere primitive or, if this isnt the right way, how can I "emulate" those panorama?

We'd like to be able to use a 3d model (preferably created in 3ds Max, since we own that) and bring it into Flash, where they could click on various buttons and get feedback.I found something similar to what we're looking for on Newegg's site:

Nov 18, 2011I'm currently having an issue creating a set of buttons that are supposed to turn individual layers on and off. The layers I have are: fishing spots, facilities, trails, map elements, an aerial photo, and parking lots. It is giving error #s 1119 and 1120. Could anyone explain possible reasons I'm getting these errors.It might be worth mentioning that I used a tutorial made with Flash CS4, but I'm writing the code in CS5. Here is the exact code I'm using:

Apr 22, 2010I am pretty new to flash but I am kind of getting the hang of things. I am trying to create a interactive slideshow in flash that will not end up on the web. These are three quick questions I currently have. Thanks for any help you can provide
1. Let's say I have an icon of a person in my flash file, how can I make it so that when my moves rolls over the person a thinking bubble appears and when it rolls off the bubble disappears?
2. If I have a small image of a page version of a .pdf file in my flash file, how can I make it so that when the little .pdf page icon is click the .pdf file is launched?
3. I understand how to create a square button over text and mess with its up/down/over/click settings, but I am wondering how I can do something like change the color of the text when it is clicked or when the mouse is over it? Right now I only know how to change the color of the square button.
Professional :: Design And Add Interactive Flash To Website?
Jun 28, 2010I am looking to design and add an interactive flash part to our company's website. Since we do a lot of business planning and consulting, we have come up with a great idea, but unfortunately, none of us really know how to create it. Basically from what I have researched, I will need to incorporate animated buttons in a flash movie. I have attached a quick sketch of what the website will look like. The part I need to work with is the middle section with the boxes.
What I need to do is this:
The 5 gray boxes need to be buttons that link to their related pages. When the page loads, I want the animation to draw the first box, create the line, draw the second box, draw the next line, etc. until all the boxes and lines are drawn. This is a process map and since we do a lot of these for our work, we thought it would be nice for us to incorporate this into our website. Furthermore, it would be ideal if these boxes were links to different pages on the site as well.
So my question is this:
-What do I need to create in order to have this animation work
-Where is a good place to start looking in regards to creating something like this
-Is this even possible
Professional :: Use Flash To Create An Interactive Diagram?
Aug 10, 2010I would like to create an interactive diagram and somebody said I should use Flash to do it.
The idea is to create an organisational chart (like the ones you can produce in MS Word 2010). Each position will have its own box or button. When a user clicks on that box or button, a Word document or internet link will be activated and take the user to this other resource.
The reason why I am choosing Flash is because I would like to make alot of these diagrams and they have to go into Moodle. Apparently Flash is the only program I should use to import the diagram into Moodle.

Apr 28, 2010I posted to the flash forum but really looking for feedback from flash, flex, AIR users as well.I'm looking for the forums thoughts and advice on which of Adobe's current technology set (CS5) is best suited for creating small interactive applications/packages by users who would not have any background in coding and very little interest in learning coding.
The idea is that users would know basic drag & drop development and maybe extend it to include some basic scripting to wire up elements of it. The ability to develope applications for a range of access points (website, mobile, desktop) would also an added benefit.The over arching idea would be to let the users create some apps/programmes/packages quickly on any topic they like but not bog them down with coding.Which CS5 technologies would be best for that

Sep 5, 2010I'm new to flex/flash cs5, but am an experienced coder, and am trying to help a friend get a site built quickly so they can graduate. They would like their image gallery that displays their portfolio to have:thumbnails floating around slowly and bouncing off of one another - mouse hover would freeze and then resume animation after the mouse leaves - when clicked the thumbnail would grow to the full size image and be displayed in the same window as the floating objects Something similar to whats found at: Flash and Picasa gallery with those other features would be perfect, but without the Google RSS aspect of it. Might anyone know where I could be pointed in the right direction for accomplishing this? Or possibly could be given technical names for the effects I'm trying to implement so I can look them up easier? Perhaps even a link to download something with the floating/bouncing element for the thumbnails, then I could figure out the code for the other effects needed.

I am building a cryptex( the dial device from Da Vinci Code)(See attached image) I built a 3D version and I want the user to be able to turn the dials and when they release, it triggers an action. There are two ways I am considering, but not sure which is easier considering I am a beginner to actionscript:
1.) I can render out small movies of each dial turning 360 degrees, but would it be possible for the user to drag the dial and cycle through the keyframes of the clip? I saw an example of using a slider to cycle through keyframes but don't know if this is possible.
2.) The dials were built and animated in flash. (Though I am unsure if this can be done without some 3D Flash plugin, which I don't have)
Any thought or tutorials that relate to this would be greatly appreciated. I looked for slot machine tutorials, since it has similar dials but had no luck.

Feb 13, 2010in the "Interactive 3D Video Flip" tutorial i take the cod and applied to my stuff I noticed that when the page was rotated the Flash player consume 40-50% from my CPU , how it's possible? the animation it's finish but the CPU it's 40-50% used . tested in mozilla and IE and from Flash ( when i test the movie) Pentium 4 and athlon 64 X2 tested!!!.. windows 7 last version of flash player 10.045.

Oct 11, 2011For a project I am thinking about making an interactive map of the cemetery on my college campus. I would like the map to function like this map here: [URL]. I'll start by making the map in Illustrator but from there I'm not really sure where to go because I am new to Flash. I would like the name of the item the mouse is over to be displayed and then when clicked on a box comes up with additional information. If the item the mouse is over can change color that would be nice too. Panning and zooming would also be great if they are not incredibly hard.

Apr 4, 2012I want to make an interactive gizmo to explore 20%. so I want a little slider and a red (20%) and a green (80%) bar so that when I slide the slider to different numbers - lets say between 1 and 100 I get a graphical representation of 20% of the number selected as well as the actual numbers? so at 50 red column is 10 green is 40. at 100 red is 20 and green is 80?
I could just have a MC with different frames and select a few numbers to highlight and fake it.

Jun 2, 2010i am completely new to the whole aspect of flash and dreamweaver etc. and have recently been given a project of editing an interactive CD rom which was produced for a client by an outside company.
I have managed to grab the basics of changing the text and the images and stuff, but when i export it as a .swf flash movie, when i view the cd, all of the slides come on in very quick succession,it is supposed to be the first slide and then you click on a "next" button for each other slide,i know i've messed with the interactive elements somehow but i don't know how, or how to fix them as i haven't got a clue about the interactive aspects to flash.

Jul 20, 2010my latest project is to create an interactive version of the map for the game, GTA: San Andreas. Here are some of the features I would like to add:(Images have been made as a quick demonstration - the real thing will use the map)URL...Zoomed out, selectable pieces of the map (like jigsaw pieces).The different "jigsaw" pieces of the map are based on the borderlines of where each town/village starts/ends.URL...When a region on the map is chosen, it zooms into the region, allowing the user to select a town/village within that region. This screen will have a "back" button on it to allow the user to go back to the whole map.URL...After choosing a town/village, the last screen appears, providing an image (screenshot from in-game) of the destination with information to the left or right of the image. This screen will also have a "back" button on it to allow the user to go back to the chosen region. The detail on the map will also show basic places that the player of the game would like to know, such as hospital locations, ammu-nation locations (gun shops) and safehouses.Once I have the basic version done, I plan on updating it by adding locations of other items, such as vehicles, collectables and weapons.
1) Is it possible to make oddly-shaped hotspots, which are interactable (clickable and what not)? I know you can make rectangular hotspots, but the borderlines of the towns and villages in the game aren't straight lines, and most require more than 4 lines to make the shape.
2) Is there any way I can learn the code that Flash uses? Just so I understand it a bit more, since I am using it for a two-year school project too, which goes towards my GCSEs next year. I would just like to get more familiar with Flash, and maybe the other programs, Illustrator and Fireworks. The only ones I know well are Photoshop and Dreamweaver.

Sep 29, 2010I would like to build a quiz in which the trainee can choose and then drag and drop a graphic object onto one of a number of locations and submit their choice. Sort of like a hotspot, only instead of clicking on the right spot, you choose object A,B, or C and drop it onto location 1, 2 or 3. Ideally, I would like to use graphics (or SolidWorks drawings) of the actual objects and locations. The training is for assembling mechanical devices and each assembler needs to be certified before being let loose on the assembly line. What tools and techniques to use to accomplish this? I would like to incorporate the quiz in Captivate or as a standalone.

End user chooses some element of shirt which he would like to edit (for example collar)2. When he clicks on that element, popup windows shows offering two main options: to change color and graphic (texture or pattern), same as on nike store customize example3. Apr 8, 2011I'm new to Flash, but I understadn the basics. Unfortuently, I may have gotten in over my head with this project. I have four years if crime data for my school. I want to make an interactive graph where a user can click a crime, (check box) and that crime's change over four years will appear. (by change I mean how many crimes of that type occurred in the last four years.) I don't know how to do this, mainly because I'm not for sure how to layer the lines on the graph.

Oct 5, 2011I'm primarily a print designer, but to keep up with the times I want to get more familiar with apps and other interactive content. I already know Flash Professional and Actionscript 3, but I'm having trouble wrapping my head around AIR, Builder, Flex and Catalyst and their relationship with the other CS programs. When I read through them on this site, they all seem really similar.
Can someone break it down for me? Are there situations where one is more appropriate than the others? Are they just publishers or do you create functionality with these programs too?

Nov 6, 2011Is Flash a part of Captivate or do I need it to be able to put interactive quizzes into a document. It sort of sounds like Captivate 5.5 is all that I would need. My basic task is to take a PDF file and/or a MS word document and add interactive quiz questions to the document. I don't even need to record them to a database. I have been trying to learn what a bunch of these Adobe products are and what they do and don't do for over a week and finally I got some real help in this forum this morning.

Jul 26, 2010I am creating a touchcreen (LCD) for a property development.We I am having a problem is on the interactive map.Picture a map with icons all over it.When you touch the icon a image of that area of the map pops up.you then click on a X on the top right to go back to the map.I have probably dont this incorrect and those only because I dont have much knowledge.I have create the map on the lowest layer.The icons (same graphic - eye) are on there own layers.I converted the icon to a BUTTON and added the pop up on the DOWN.The problem I have is when you touch the icon on a layer other than the top layer the top layer icon shows on the screen (ontop of the popup).

Mar 22, 2011I am a multimedia student and I want to create an interactive slide show to put in the Portfolio section of my web site. How would I do that? Would it be easier to do in Dreamweaver CS5 or create in After effects then import in Dreamweaver? I have never done slideshows. What I want; is a slide show of my work to scroll on the screen, when the person hovers their mouse over the picture from left to right, the slideshow moves, when you click on a specific image, you are able to see the image in a bigger size.
