I have created a simple flash swf which I have added to all the pages of my website. For some reason when I load one particular page a blank screen appears. When I delete the swf the page appears.

View 3 RepliesI have two external swf files which I need to load to the main page of the website, one is the about page which consist mostly of text, the other is an image gallery.Both of them have the same intro animation at the beginning.
My problem is, while testing the main page using bandwidth profiler, the about page loads beautifully, while the image gallery plays its animation first before it even finalizes to load the whole page.
How can I create a music flash file that will play on every page of the web site, I am going to have about 7 pages.

I want to learn how to make web page transitions continuous.. Take Virgin free fest for example.. [URL]. when you move from one page to another it has a closing animation of the page you are on before it begins the animation to the next page.. where in the script do I tell it to play the closing animation to this page before playing the opening animation to the next page?

I want to have a separate swf file, with a separate load associated with it for each page of my website. I'm not quite sure how to do this. i want people to be able to go to specific pages in my flash site. For example, if they wanted to go to the home page they could go to: [URL]. If they wanted to go to the about page, they could go to: [URL]. I believe this means that I would have to have a separate swf file for each unique page, I'm not sure how to jump from one swf file to another. I've read in some other posts something about the GoToAndPlay function.

I have a one page web site with 5 links to pseudo pages, so my problem is that on every part of the web site the swf files start playing. (Of course I understand that I can set the first one to play and the others to stop mode, but that doesn't solve the problem) What I try do do is this: *When the web site starts only the first pseudo page let the swf play. *When clicking a link to an other pseudo page that particular movie on the linked page starts playing. *All other swf movies don't play.

I have a simple image transition (motion tween) and after the transition is complete, I want it to flash blur a couple of times before stopping. It would basically be the landing page to a website. So it fades from Black to Gold and then flashes all blurry twice and then stops. I got the tween but now just need the blur.

View 5 RepliesI have a site where all the pages have a common SWF embedded at the top (Nav and banner), but the rest of the page is HTML.Everything is working fine, but I'm finding the 'independence' between the HTML and Flash is making for some sloppy transitions from page to page.I was expecting the SWF to be delayed, at least for the first page visit(and I have a preload routine inside the swf to make it's delay and appearance a bit more visually pleasant), but was surprised to sometimes find the SWF appearing and playing while the HTML content was delayed (resulting in a SWF floating in black).What I'm wondering is if there's a way I can do some sort of preload on my index page.BUT, not the standard one that I'm sure everyone would suggest (like the javascript image 'preload', or the newer 'css visibility' preload trick). The problem with the standard one is that it doesn't check to see if everything is loaded.What I'm after is a routine on my index page that invisibly loads some of the elements from my inner pages (common swf, maybe some of the images) and WAITS until it's done before moving to the inner pages (displaying the company logo and/or a load status in the meantime).Many people would suggest a preloader inside the common SWF on my inner pages (which I have), but the problem with that on its own is that it doesn't stop the HTML from displaying.

I have a project for a site that sells fishing lures.I want to have an animated index page before moving on to the home page. My idea is to have a boat sitting on a pond fishing lines in the water, when a fish jumps out of the water, the water ripples, the next time you see the fish it's got a hook in it mouth and jumping out of the water.how do I go about it? How to I create the water rippling? I think with the fish I can do easily enough with it jumping on and off stage. Would I do the water with shape tweens?

In order to get listed on an advertising website with a higher rating, I have to place a reciprocal link to them on my site. However, I cannot figure out how to place an html link/banner on my site for other businesses. View 4 RepliesI have my main movie, which contains the logo and navigation.I have a blank movieclip created with actionscript that loads the individual movie swf files.That works fine.What I want to do, and which I can't figure out is dynamically have the main navigation buttons' text indicate what page you the user is on. Right now the code is on each button instance, example:[code]so the variable aMenu holds the moveclip names of the buttons. pageHolder holds the the name of the current page that is loaded.Thats how I change the pages to be loaded. To explain, if you look at the button code, the text for each button is by default greay and when you rollover it becomes black and off and it becomes gray again. That is on the first frame. On the second frame the text is black.In the code I tried to make the black dynamically, but it didn't work, so I settled for going to the second frame and stopping.My second question(much shorter I promise).I guess its preference, but is it generally good to put the code on each instance of a button or put in in the main frame where your code lies.
View 5 RepliesI working on a Flash quiz that will trace the users coming from a particular page on a website. If the user comes from that page then a link will not be displayed in the quiz. If they don't come from that page then the link will be displayed, or the link will be turned on if you will. The reason for the dynamic functionality, is to avoid creating two flash files that do the same thing, and then maintained on a regular basis.
View 3 RepliesThis must have been done before and be really easy but I am a newbie so just keep coming up with compiler errors. I have built a website in flash cs4 using as3. I have set up the time line so that each different page on the website exists at a different position on the timeline. Sections have been labeled so that I can jump to that section upon button click.
What happens is when the link to the page/section is clicked the timeline jumps to that section and plays an animation that animates the page onto the stage then stops.("in animation") When you click another link the page should animate off of the stage ("out animation")and the next one animates in.
(I have set the time line up so that after each "in" animation there is a stop and after each "out" animation there is a stop.) This is where i'm having the problem.
I have set up event listeners for the button clicks But i can only get them to either play the "out" animation then that stops, using this code:

What i would like to know is how to add the two together so that when a button is clicked the information about what was clicked is added to a variable. The function plays the out animation then when that is complete checks the variable where the page clicked information is then jumps to that section on the timeline and plays it's "in" animation
