Is there a way to display a website [URL] inside your Flash website?
Looking for something similar to HTML inline frames

am i publishing the movie incorrectly? It works great when I preview the flash file (cntrl+enter), but after I publish it and insert it into the html (in dreamweaver), the file shows up and animates perfectly, but when clicked, no link... It doesn't do anything

I convert it to FLV/F4V so I can then import it into flash cs4, so it will have a timeline, pause, sound feature thing.I then export it as an swf, upload it and the result equals no video being shown on the website!I think its because web browsers don't support flv/f4v files, does anyone no where I am going wrong and how to get the video to display on a website?

Example: I am in my home page movie clip, and I have a "read more" button on one of the articles, when a user clicks on this button I want him to be redirected to the page that article is on.
In my case, I am making a website that gives users information on Paris, France. On my home page I have an article that speaks about Napoleonic and I have created a "read more" button. The information on Napoleonic is on the landmarks page(which is its own movie clip). When the user clicks on the "read more" button I want him to be redirected to the page thats in its own movie clip with the info.

View 14 RepliesI am trying to embed a flv with a custom skin from Flash CS4 on my web page. I have embedded FLV's before using Dreamweaver CS4 by going to Insert/Media/FLV and it worked fine. However, I do not like any of the skins available in DW.
So I created a FLA in Flash with a skin that I prefer. The file previews fine in Flash. I published it and Flash create the flv, swf and skin.swf. I then went to DW and choose Insert/Media/SWF and inserted on the html page. I previewed it in the browser and it worked fine.
I uploaded the .swf, flv, skin, and html to my server. The skin appears but the flv video does not.
Is there somewhere in Flash that I need to specify "Progressive Download" as in DW? Or am I missing a file? Or.....

The pages get scrambled once I publish and test it for instance the one page shows and then the next and then another - all after another in rapid succession.I have the following layers:
1. Background - 20 (Where layer stops)2. Template - 20 (home) 3. Buttons 20 (the "20" layers will eventually change once the site grows bigger)4. page two- 25. page thee - 11 (has 9 pages on its own)6. page four - 12 now, the pages only jump around ONCE I ADD PAGE 4 - which is a movie.The movie is an .SWF and works fine on its own. The movieload tutorial is correct and works. There are also buttons on page 4 with button commands - I removed them and tested the published website without the buttons but they continue to jump around.
I am currently creating a website in which I want a navigation menu created in flash. I have attached an image of the menu (without the animation) based on how it would look on the home page. What I want to happen is this; when you hover over each word I want the pink rectangle on the left to tween vertically so that it ends up next to the item that is being hovered over. Once the user removes the cursor I want the pink rectangle to tween back to the default position. So if on the home page, the default position would be to the left of the home word and if on the info page, the default position would be to the left of the info word etc.
I tried to turn each word in the list into a movieclip symbol, but once i go into each symbol I'm not sure how I create the animation without copying and pasting the pink rectangle into each movieclip. However as soon as I do this I end up with multiple movieclips on the stage in the main scene.
I created a website in Flash that is suppose to play a video with sound when the site opens. My logo then fades in over the video as it plays. I added the logo on it own timeline. On the web, my logo plays with the fade in effect correctly but the video is missing. The site works fine when I preview it but not on the web.

I am trying to put a flash background on my website that will loop over and over.I created the file in after effects but understand that it is best to export to flash to keep file size down.I have tried exporting from after affects using F4L, FLV, and XFL and always seem to get a file size of 2-4 MB.My video is only 8 seconds long and I exported at half resolution so I am unsure why it is so largeWhen I import F4L and FLV to flash and then export as an SWF file, the file does not work on my website(nothing shows). It seems to only work when I import as an XFL and then export as an SWF.Also, how do I get the video to loop? Do I do this in flash or in the object tags in my website
View 6 RepliesThe video gallery on my website uses an an FLV video gallery downloaded from Adobe. When I encode my Flash files to Quicktime then to FLV they look perfect but once uploaded onto my site and played back through the gallery the quality suffers, especially text which loses it's vector crispness.Url...The videos are under 'portfolio' the best example of my problem is the INTEL video 3 rows down, second left, text looks rounded when it should be sharp.I have run the videos through Adobe media encoder and After Effects and again whilst looking fine when played locally they degenerate once uploaded.
View 2 RepliesI have a client that I created FLV files for. how to create SWF files so he can embed them onto his web pages. I explained that Premiere only creates FLV and F4V files. My understanding is that he needs Flash Pro CS5 to create the SWF files. Is this correct? I have been all over the web looking for the workflow for embedding video files like they do on you tube. I'm a videographer dammit, not a web designer!
