View 1 RepliesI want to synchronize sounds perfectly to do a kind of Audio Mixer, using different sounds. [URL] does it perfectly, I've been researching and researching and I just don't know how to do it! How does [URL] synchonize audio so perfectly? you can even change sounds and the new ones will come on time! How do I do that? Is it just Action Script? or something else?
View 1 RepliesI've just learned this process in the Flash CS4 help manual (page 276), but unfortunately the sound track I placed in a movie clip timeline (used as a button OVER state) doesn't stop playing once I mouse away from the button. So, I presume a simple myBtn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, clickHandler) could allow me to execute a method in a function to stop the repeating sound.
View 5 RepliesI want to use it for what seems like a fairly simple application, but I am having a terrible time finding any tutorials that address this specific need. I've been through basic "how to us Flash CS5" training but I'm having trouble making the connection between the skills taught and what I'm trying to accomplish.
I have a static paragraph of text - black on a plain white background. I would like each sentence to highlight with a yellow box behind it as the audio for that sentence is read. I would like a user to be able to hear the entire passage, but also be able to click on individual sentences and hear them separately.
Let's see if I can lend a hand, it is urgent, I want to do is to reproduce audio, and what is being heard in the audio (voice) go see text and goes over.It should be from an xml file and if it can be animated, the better, to be easily upgradeable.
View 4 RepliesI am brand new to flash and AS3, and everything else code related. I've built a simple file with text and audio. The audio is an external file, and it plays with a mouse click. Everything tests fine in flash. I also placed the file in Dreamweaver and previewed in a browser - that's working. But... I've now uploaded the file to a live site. The text shows up but it doesn't play.
View 11 RepliesMultiple computers running a kinda of quiz (in asp.net). Every one of them plays a video as background (in the browser), sorta like a screensaver (with advertising). When moving the mouse a div pops up which allows the user to choose a quiz in fill out the forms. The catch is that the video needs to be synchronized on all the PCs.These are the constraints: The asp.net code is already there, so writing it completely in flash is no option. We know .NET, javascript, html, the standard webdev stuff best, so investing time is something new is a last resort.
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to play multiple video streams simultaneously. However, I cannot synchronize these videos to play at the same rate.
I have three 45-second videos in FLV format and I use flash.net.NetStream to play these videos. I call netstream.play() of these netstream at the same time (by using a for-loop). However, these videos are out-of-sync even all videos files are on my local machine.
For example, when the wall clock is at 10th second, the first video is at 7th second, the second video is at 10th second, and the last video is at 5th second.
I think it may be affected by different jitter delays when streaming. However, I still cannot find the way to solve this problem.
If I import an FLV video is there any way to remove the audio, put the audio into a byte array, and then re-add the audio to the flv video?
View 1 RepliesI would like to have one controller to sync and control multiple video objects(start/stop simultaneously).
View 1 RepliesI've a number of audio files and six menu items in my presentation.respond with instruction on how to stop the currently running audio when a new menu item is clicked (launching a new audio file)?
View 2 RepliesI made a flash video for my science project today, i added some music to it too. but the music keeps on runnning even when the presentation is over. and when i even stop it, and play it again, the audio runs in the background from the last time i played it and another stream of that audio starts from the begining. as if i play the song onec from the beginning and once from somewhere in the middle and both at the same time.
View 1 RepliesI'm having a lot of trouble determining the cause of this problem... I have an uncompressed .wav file, and when I attempt to import the file into Flash Professional CS5, something... happens to it. The audio quality is reduced somewhat, but more importantly, the pitch drops at least an octave! I have checked to make sure the file is correct. I tried messing with the Sound Properties window for that in the library. I tried re-importing the sound normally, and using the Sound Properties box to do the same. No matter what I do, I can't get Flash to maintain the sound of the original file.
View 1 RepliesI have an animation that I am exporting as either a .wav or .mov file then editing in different software but when I import the new file it is out of sync. That sounds confusing so I will explain. The project is a cartoon and a temp dialogue track was created before animation started. Then that temp track was used to animate over and do lip synching. Recently, actors have re-recorded the original temp dialogue track. So, I need to export the original dialogue track out of Flash, use an editor, in this case Final Cut Pro, and replace the dialogue then export that as an audio file and bring it back into Flash.
But it is always out of sync. I have even exported a .wav file from Flash then immediately re-imported it and put it on the timeline and it is already out of sync. And it is the exact same audio! I don't even know how that could be possible. Surely if you export a wav from Flash and then re-import it, it should be exactly the same.
I am working on a Flash cs3/as2 touch screen enabled kiosk presentation. It has a home page .fla file with an empty movie clip (empty_mc) which movie clips load into from a player .fla file. The player .fla file also has an empty movie clip (empty_mc2) which movie clips load into from a slide .fla file. All I need is to simply have background music playing during the entire presentation, but with volume control, play and stop capabilities. I've used the code shown below, but I get overlapping and echo noise. I've placed the code in the player .fla file in the actions layer. Obviously I have placed the code improperly and would like to know the simplest way to achieve the desired outcome which as I stated above, is to have, aside from the intro., continuous background music.
//VolumeControl Play Stop
bgSound = new Sound(soundLoader);
bgSound.loadSound("sound1", true);[code]....
Is there any tool can help me rip audio from SWF file and ave it in MP3 format separately in another folder, and extract audio stream to MP3, AAC, M4A, WAV, WMA, AC3, MP2 formats?
View 3 RepliesI am trying to import an audio file into Flash, but do not know what file extentions it recognizes. The file is .m4a that was created in iTunes. I can see how Flash would not recignize it, so what does Flash recognize, and I'll see if I can convert the file.
View 2 RepliesHow would I pause the audio track in flash?I am creating a little movie and would like to pause the commentary (soundtrack) so I can show more pictures.
View 1 RepliesI need to create a web based audio recorder. I want to record and play audio in GSM format (for telephony).I created the it in JavaFX which require Java Runtime on client sideBut Flash is preferred as Flash is every where and widely used.
View 4 RepliesI have an Audio Recorder created in flash. Currently it records audio and saves it in .flv format.(I am using AS2.0 and Red5 server) My question is: Is there any way by which I can record and save audio in .mp3 format, directly?
View 3 RepliesIs it possible to create an On/Off button to toggle audio on and off using AS3?
The Adobe help files do not seem to provide this, only AS2 options using Behaviours.
When I click on a button and choose Behaviours I get a warning that it only works with AS2.
I change the project to AS2 and then half of my actionscript stops working.
When i load the audio as mp3 file some time it will throw error. The error is "one or more files cannot be imported" Then i convert the audio file as wav file, but the quality of the audio is not good.
View 1 RepliesOne Mp3 file lives in the main timeline of a Flash file extending length of movie. These files have to be converted for youTube postings. Output I've tried is .mov and .avi. Audio format is not being recognized by youTube. I only have the mp3 sound files which i know is a compressed format. Are there simple settings or config changes i can make for export to get these to upload to youTube with audio?
View 2 RepliesTo make it, I attached the audio clip to the frame, and used Actionscript 2 to set the frame to stop the audio and manually advance to the next frame. Is there an easy way to show a progressive bar showing the time remaining for the audio playback, and have rewind, stop, start/pause and fast forward?
View 1 RepliesI have two questions:
1. I would like to put audio behind my flash pages. I have 5 pages (navigation with arrow buttons). Is there code available for where the user can click an on/off audio button? Does it have to be in a certain audio format?
2. Is it possible to create quizzes in flash i.e. are there templates somewhere?
Our client has encountered a bizarre problem where they hear an audio feedback or some sort of "duality" when playing an F4V file through FMS. When I tested this myself, I did not encounter this issue. I'm wondering if anyone here can provide some insight as to some of the potential causes of this issue and how we can fix it. We are using
1) FLVPlayback 2.5.0.15
2) Application targets the Flash 10.0 runtime
3) We are using a standard FMS 3.5 install, videos located in the vod folder
4) Trying to playback F4V files. The samples provided by FMS also exhibit the same issue.
On another note, I built a bare-bones Flex application (SDK version 3.5.0.12683 and 3.4.0.9271) using the VideoDisplay component and it always has the duality problem. It even gets worse as I refresh the page, the echoing / multiple audio playbacks seem to compound.
I have a Flash animation that starts with an audio clip imported. When that's done it goes to a video. After that another audio clip plays, but I can't get it to start when it's supposed to. It keeps coming in too early even though its keyframe is after the movie ends. In fact I had to move the audio's keyframe about 1500 frames past where it should be to get it to come in at the right time. My Flash movie is 24 FPS. The .mov file being referenced in the FLVPlayback is 23.98 FPS. What's going on here?

View 1 RepliesI am looking for a flash solution to insert easily into a dreamweaver html page. I need a small audio player with a start and stop button. It should have a white background (no text). To work like the example in [url]......I would like to have a flash plug in that allows me to insert into another webpage and use an FLV file or other audio format.Dreamweaver's player does not look good inserted into any webpage.
View 3 RepliesInstalled the new flash player and all of a sudden my flv audio no longer played in an existing media player built using the FLVPlayback component.
Finally figured out that if I change the FLVPlayback component parameter "maintainAspectRaion" from false to true, the audio will play.
