Professional :: Unable To Use Links When Calling Swf From Subdomain / CNAME?

I have a problem with a flash header - the links in it does not work unless they point to another domain other than the one that it's hosted at. I suspect that its got to do with domains but I'm not sure and that's why I'm here The flash (a header for a blog) is located at [URL], but the blog using it is located at blog.hotsailsmaui.com. The subdomain is located at another IP-range, namely Googles [URL].No links in the Flash-header pointing at pages at [URL] work, but all links pointing at other domains work. The Flash-header works as it shuld at [URL] but not at the blog.

I know this is not flash oriented but after i make my flash website i copy the files into the www folder on my linux webhosting service and the index page loads when anyone uses the website url. Now if i want to have a second website at the same url how do i add a second domain ? my hosting service shows im allowed a max of 5 subdomains. me just where to put the second sites files including its own index file and how should the url be spelt to access the second site ?

I purchased a website template that has some flash in it however the auther of the template lacked to include instructions and seemed to have left it unfinished (The links don't work, of course).

I have a.swf, which is the SWF file for my main application, and it's trying to load in b.swf, which contains some additional resources as well as some Actionscript. a.swf lives on sub1.my.domain.com and b.swf lives on sub2.my.domain.com (both on the same domain, just different subdomains.) In a.swf, I've loaded the crossdomain.xml from domain.com and also added the following code into both a.swf and b.swf:

I work with Flash Pro allmost 11 hours per day and every while i get a error which messes up everything. Approximetly i get this after about 2-3 hours withevery project.After i get this error there is no chance to test movies afterwards.I see a fast flash of the loader window but it dissapears so fast i cant even really see if it is loader.

how it was put together by making changes.
I have an .fla file where I'm trying to change some of the links. Say it currently goes to index-1.html and I want to change to aboutus.html.
I can't seem to locate where the actual link designation is .. from the documentation on Flash forums it should be in Actions, however I can't seem to find it.

i have a bunch of diagrams that are exploded to show parts that we sell of athletic equipment. our company now has an online digital catalog that we want to put some flash into so when the user clicks on a part it will direct their browser to the webpage that they can order it from (hopefully in another window). i know there are plenty of ways to do this but i havent used flash in about a year and it was just one class and honestly i am a little fuzzy on what to do. i guess i would import the .ai files and make each part a button right? should i do these on different layers? some of the files are jpgs, so would i have to make an invisible button or something over the image?

I'm relatively new and I've made a script on my banner for buttons to link internally to different pages on my webpage. The problem I'm having is every time I click on a link it directs me into a new window, it will redirect in the same window and new tabs wont keep poping up? I tried searching for an answer but did'nt have much luck. I decided to finally learn how to do a web page in Flash and everything is progressing except for text links. I'm importing a .psd file and I keep the text as editable, the page has 5 text links plus a text logo, the logo text link works when tested (returning to the home page) but the links to the other pages do nothing.
I have tried each one seperately, pointing to both the intended page as well as the home page with no luck, the only one that I can get to work is the logo text. I have also tried grouping the text for links seperate from static text in Photoshop. I'm sure it's something simple and I'm probably over thinking things but whatever the case I can't get it to work.

I have created a banner and wanted to randomize the URL that the user goes to. Basically the banner is of a product and it is sold a say 3 places. I wanted to randomize where the customer goes, but one of the three places it is sold. What is the easiest way to implement this? Generate a random number when the page loads and that determines the URL link?

In my timeline I have different link hot spots, so that each product will link to a separate web page (externally).I don't think this is going to work:When I upload the Flash file to a server to test, the links show me the 'pointing finger' icon, but when clicked upon it does not even open another web page attempting to follow the link. - that tells me this doesn't work!I need to get this correct for when the final goes live. What am I missing? Should I try the extension? (product01.asp)

Using AS3, how can I attach links to outbound websites? I have a button graphic dragged onto the timeline. It is meant to function much like a "hot spot". So, I would like to attach the script to the button so that it will link to another website when clicked upon. But where do I add the script in AS3, and what is that script to be? ~ For example, do I need to go into edit mode where I see the 4 states, or can I simply attach it to the main timeline? - I'm looking to do whatever's the simplest!
Also, the button is called myButton in my library...can I use that same button for everywhere I want to add an outbound link to different websites, or am I going to have to change the name for every different link? For example, myButton02, myButton03? I'm hoping to use the same graphic button, and hoping the timeline will understand and follow the script instead of being confused and all links wind up going to the same site.

Each page has like the first page "Welcome" followed by a brief paragraph followed by a "read more..." link/button which opens to a small popup window with additional 3-4 paragraphs. So the main page has "WELCOME" > small paragraph > read more button.
Below that has "LATEST WORKS" > small paragraph > read more button
Both of those "read more..." lead to the same popup window but have their own title "Welcome" and "Latest works"(don't know where the mini title file is) but the paragraphs are the same which I don't want. I want each "read more..." to open to its own little popup.
Still learning script but is their anything in the script to change or something on stage? Or just redo everything somehow

It is a large gear that rotates CCW when you click the top button and CW when you click the bottom button. Clicking the buttons also retrieves the next element in an array called 'title' and displays it next to the gear. The elements of the array are titles of videos. I need to be able to click on these titles (as hyperlinks) and have them open up a video window to display the video that corresponds to that title. I am using flash CS5 and I am a beginner. I'm creating a project that is going to be quite text heavy. I'm putting the text into external text files (HTML formatted), so I can change to text without affecting the rest of my project.The problem is I want to have text link (i.e different colored and underlines words) in the text that takes you to other parts of the resource (similar to a hyperlink in a web site). I want the text links to move the movie to a different area of the timeline.

I am building a website through flash. For the past couple of weeks all of the links have been working fine up until now. I have no idea what I could have possibly done to make this happen. In HTML none of the links work. They are all linked up fine, I even re-linked some of them. Nothing happens. The buttons do nothing.

I use Flash 8.I'm making this very simple Nav Box where on certain links open in a new window/tab. Those links work great.But most of the links are set to open in the same window that the Nav Box is on. When saving the SWF and HTML, the links work great.
The problem comes when I place it on other pages/sites. The "Self" links never work. Here are samples.

Neither page nor link in the Nav Box requires a Iframe nor anything "special" to work.Here are to version of the AS2 code I've tried (Using the Day Of Victory Ministries link as a sample)

Unless I'm mistaken, the way flash works, it matters not which server it is on so long as it's directory is public. This enables the flash to be placed on any page (via it's root link / Embedding code) and still have it's buttons work.
