I'm publishing a multibitrate stream with adobe live media encoder to flash media server and I have to duplicate it to two different urls within one domain. Maybe it's possible by configuring apache or maybe there's another way.

Now as youTube video is from a different domain, the Flash sandbox restrictions naturally come into play. We am loading the youTube swf into a clip using the MovieClipLoader Class.
If we remove the instance using the removeMovieClip() command the video is removed but the sound continues. We have even tried the MovieClipLoader unloadClip() method but that too did not yield results.
We wish to be able to kill the sound object or atleast mute it so that it does not play even after the movie clip containing the video is removed.
As the swf belongs to a different domain we are unable to control the sound object directly through script.
We have even tried loading another youTube instance into the same movie clip after first removing it using the removeMovieClip() command, then creating it again, and finally loading the youTube instance using the MovieClipLoader class, but the earlier sound still continues to play even while the second clip sound also plays.
I am Trying to Apply some information Like text and An Image as an overlay to create a overlay effect as lice a security camera with time and date on the video along with a png based Logo.
I can record VIDEO Using Flex and FMS or any other Media Server. But I want to save a modified version of the stream being uploaded.
I am very new to action script. I want to stop the stream from publishing then later on i want to publish the same stream again. My problem is that I have 3 levels of stream processing (Ingress-Rename ProxyLimelight-AuthProxy-Live) before it goes live. User wants to stop stream from publishing and then publish the same stream when he wants in each level. User does not want to start the stream from the begining, he wants to restart the stream on the same where he stopped.

I've developed a Flash video recorder(using AS3, Flex) which captures live web cam and streams to Wowza media server.I am trying to apply sharpness, contrast, saturation and sharpness filters on the live video being captured.I am able to apply filter effects on the video being captured on the screen. How do we apply the filters so that it reflects in the stream being published ?

I want to publish the stream with a different name to each CDN. I'm developping a FMS 4 application that read an external stream, and then, republish it in multicast:
1.- So, first of all I open a NetConnection to the remote application. And I associate it to a new Stream created in the application. Then I have the stream available in my application.

But, I don't know who would be the client in the registerStream method. Which reference should I add there? Is it possible in this way?
I made another different script that republish that stream in localhost using NetConnection.publish(localhost/sameapplication). It works properly. But I would like to be able of managing it in the other way.
can Flash stream audio from a different domain? Like, if I have my .swf on www.a.com and then my .mp3 on Url..., will trying to stream it work?Also, is there a way to have music saved on the person's harddrive or cached so that if they load the song, they dont have to load it each time when you stream audio or load it from another source?
View 2 RepliesI'm having a reliability problem with publishing live, h.264 streams from FFMPEG (using the rtmp publish ability now built into FFMPEG, where I can set an rtmp address as the output).After a random period of time (usually between an hour and several hours), the default "live" application in FMS 4 (or 3.5) eventually drops the connection from the FFMPEG encoder. This is what appears in the log for the application:"Dropping application (live/_definst_) message. Clients not allowed to broadcast message."After googling the error, I discovered that people have been reporting this error for several years, but there has not been a single response from any FMS experts or Adobe about what causes the error.

View 22 RepliesWhen I publish my FLV video using Flash CS3 and the "SkinUnderAll" option...the player controls are not visible unless I change the height & width in the html file Flash created.But, Flash shows the height & width 3-times in the html.
Question-1: Why 3-times? What does each of the 3 Height & Width references do?
Question-2: How should I modify the code to be able to see the entire video and the player controls?
It seems if I change all 3 everything just gets bigger and bigger.
1 - I import it into Flash CS3 on a PC w/XP Pro using... File | Import | Video take all the defaults and choose "Skin Under All" as the player option.
2 - In "Properties" panel at bottom of screen Flash shows the video as 640x480
3 - I then click File | Publish to publish the video. Flash creates all my files for me.

4 - I then put the folder with the files on my website.
5 - The video plays but the player controls are not visible.

7 - I try changing the 550x400 to 640x480 in all three places... no good. Even at 1000x1000 the entire player is not visible. Everything just gets larger.
What are each of the 3 references to Height and Width in the html file Flash Creates and which should I change to simply show all the player controls?

View 3 RepliesWe are running FMS3 on Windows 2003 Server. Videos stream and play fine when inside our domain, but outside the domain the videos take anywhere from 20 or more seconds before playing.
After analizing the connections it was determined that the player is randomly trying to access ports until it gets to the one that works, but this is ONLY happening from people trying to view videos from outside our domain.
I have moved a web application from old domain to new domain. I cannot get Flash to engage. I have changed the domain in flash_images.php file to the new domain. I have a flash_box.swf file and I have a js file these are the only flash components that I see--old domain is e.g. www.example.com new domain is [URL]..I am not a flash developer, how do I get flash to work on the new domain?
