I've developed a Flash video recorder(using AS3, Flex) which captures live web cam and streams to Wowza media server.I am trying to apply sharpness, contrast, saturation and sharpness filters on the live video being captured.I am able to apply filter effects on the video being captured on the screen. How do we apply the filters so that it reflects in the stream being published ?

I can record VIDEO Using Flex and FMS or any other Media Server. But I want to save a modified version of the stream being uploaded.
I am very new to action script. I want to stop the stream from publishing then later on i want to publish the same stream again. My problem is that I have 3 levels of stream processing (Ingress-Rename ProxyLimelight-AuthProxy-Live) before it goes live. User wants to stop stream from publishing and then publish the same stream when he wants in each level. User does not want to start the stream from the begining, he wants to restart the stream on the same where he stopped.

View 2 RepliesI have about 9 buttons on my stage and I want to write code for the rollover and rollout effects, I only want to write the code once so I am trying to pass the button info into a string via evt.target.data and it pass the info properly into my string variable but when I try to set my filter to that variable, setting my movieclip instance name to that variable, I get 2 errors:

I'm publishing a multibitrate stream with adobe live media encoder to flash media server and I have to duplicate it to two different urls within one domain. Maybe it's possible by configuring apache or maybe there's another way.

The question is, is there any feature that are provided by Flash Player's core video component to apply those kind of filters on the fly at client-side?
I have justed started using Flash Media server so this could be a really easy one to answer or not even possible.I have Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder 3 publishing to Adobe Flash Media Server 3.5 which then publishes this live stream to two CDN providers. I want to publish the stream with a different name to each CDN. Anyone know howI can do this without having FMLE3 publishing a backup stream and then FMS having to process two differently named streams?I.E.FMLE publishes a stream called bobThis is then published to CDN1 as bob and I then want to publish it to CDN2 as bob2Below the main.asc for the application but it ignores the second stream name and publishes to CDN2 with bob

I'm developping a FMS 4 application that read an external stream, and then, republish it in multicast:
1.- So, first of all I open a NetConnection to the remote application. And I associate it to a new Stream created in the application. Then I have the stream available in my application.

But, I don't know who would be the client in the registerStream method. Which reference should I add there? Is it possible in this way?
I made another different script that republish that stream in localhost using NetConnection.publish(localhost/sameapplication). It works properly. But I would like to be able of managing it in the other way.
I'm having a reliability problem with publishing live, h.264 streams from FFMPEG (using the rtmp publish ability now built into FFMPEG, where I can set an rtmp address as the output).After a random period of time (usually between an hour and several hours), the default "live" application in FMS 4 (or 3.5) eventually drops the connection from the FFMPEG encoder. This is what appears in the log for the application:"Dropping application (live/_definst_) message. Clients not allowed to broadcast message."After googling the error, I discovered that people have been reporting this error for several years, but there has not been a single response from any FMS experts or Adobe about what causes the error.

I am trying to design a custom group container. This is my code below. I have a Group openning tag and a GlowFilter inside the declarations. When I run the code, it gives me error Code: ArgumentError: Error #2005: Parameter 0 is of the incorrect type. Should be type Filter. I have no idea what went wrong. The code compiles fine, but not able to run. The workaround is change the Group to BorderContainer or remove the filters, but I just don't see why Group has a problem with it. I have attached my simplest project file.

1. When I put the mask on container (container.rawchildren.addchildren + container.mask = mask) and the dropshadowfilter on container (container. filters = [glow]), I cannot detect the mouse events.
2. When I put the mask on the promopanel (this.rawchildren.addchildren + this.mask = mask) and the dropshadowfilter on promopanel (this.filters = [glow]), I cannot detect the mouse events.
3. When I put the mask in a component and the filter in another, it does not work either.
4. If I remove the mask OR the filter, it works!! But I need them both...
So, does anyone has an idea on how to make this work? I've been trying to look for issues with filters, masks and mouseevents but haven't found anything that could enlighten this issue.
(i'm using flashdevelop / flex sdk)IS there any way filters applied to a DisplayObject (drop shadow, glow, bevel) can scale relatively with the parent (the DisplayObject it is inside)?And what about other properties like .distance for drop shadow?
For example... If I have a 100px rectangle with a 10px glow inside a container object, and I set scaleX/scaleY of the container to .1, I want the glow to inherit the scale change from the parent (1/10th the size) just as the display object does that the filter is applied to.Instead, if you try this, you will see the glow stays at 10px no matter what scale the filter target or the container is transformed by.Pseudocode example (steps to reproduce),
1) create a sprite called _myOuterSprite on stage at scaleX = scaleY = 1
2) create a sprite called _myInnerSprite inside _myOuterSprite at scaleX = scaleY = 1
3) draw 100px rectangle into _myInnerSprite
4) apply 10px glow to _myInnerSprite
5) transform scale of _myOuterSprite to .1
Result:
- child sprite (rectangle) scales to 1/10th the size
- glow stays the same size
How can I make it so that glow scales to 1/10th as well?...without capturing and scaling bitmap data ...without losing interactivity on objects...in a way that would work visually for every filter, not just glow (drop shadow has distance property too, etc)

View 2 RepliesI have two panels that have a click event on them. However, both call the same function for some reason. When I have only one panel visible the animation works correctly. However if I add another to the stage on the click event both panels animate at the same time. I just dont get what I'm doing wrong. My function is looking for only the current target but apparently I must not be doing that correctly because it's animating both panels and not just the panel the I clicked. My expected result is to animate only the clicked panel.

I know that the adobe flex.text.StyleSheet class has a CSS parser but I could not find a way to harness that. (Is there a way to get that source code?)
