I create a flash site with a XML MENU. When I publish the site the xml menu doesn't move when you scale the browser window, but when I use swfobject the xml moves when you scale the browser (not centered).
url...In basic tutorial there is extra part of button where you add menu name "home, about us" etc.But I don't need this. I needed more simplier. From xml file I load an image or swf. And then you just mouse over it and it moves and it clicks. No extra 30 pixels for button space. If i change AS line ldr.x=0 to ldr.x=27 then it moves, but there is extra unnecessary empty space between content things. I don't need it. What should I do?
Forgive if I am not explaining this very well- here goes. I have one major site with three other gallery sites that are related. From one of the gallery sites I need to create a button that takes you back to a specific page on the major site.
I know this is very noob, but I need a simple AS move and loop. Move an object across the stage and once out of site, loop and start over again? It needs to be a slow and endless loop.
I know Flash well enough to make my site but know virtually nothing about HTML. I have published my HTML through Flash but the image is always aligned top left and not centred. I want to change the code to make it centre in the browser window but there's pages of the stuff and I'm not sure what's what or what to change.
My project won't allow me to preview or publish it anymore. It's about 10 megs and the swf was around 2 the last time I could check. It goes to the export/publish panel and the bar fills but then nothing. The application does not crash either and I can continue to work in it.
Other smaller files preview fine.
I could debug this? It's driving me crazy and I really can't afford to lose this project.
I have made a total flash site but the exported site is 50 mb!! Not a usable size, so I want to know how to make this site 'smaller'. there are a ton of flash sites on the www, so I must do something wrong.. What is the normal file-size for a flash site?
There is lots of site to publish flash games, but all have different special offers. What is the best way to publish a flash (browser) game to end users.
I need to publish it to web so if you go url... you see my flash website (I'm using Flash CS5).I heard from somewhere I need Dreamweaver, also, to publish a site made in Flash to the web.
I'm getting a 1120 Access of Undefined Property Error on Frame 1, Line 7. Also my buttons do not appear when I publish the site. Below is a link to my file. [URL]
I'm using Adobe CS4 Professional flash to create the basis of the website, a photo background with an interactive menu overlay on top. Does anyone know any good tutorials for an interactive menu (roll you mouse over certain things and the sub-menu comes up which lead to other pages of the site etc.)
I have a menu bar that when a user mouses over it, a second menu slide out beneath it.when I move my mouse off the first menu bar, the second menu bar disappears. Im not sure how to organize my hit areas so that the second bar stays even if I mouse off the first menu bar.
I have created a main file, which has a navigation with buttons. Each button loads an external swf file.In one of the external swf files I have created an xml gallery.I have created some empty movieClips which work as holders and they load the images. It works great when I publish it,although it doesn't work when I publish the main file.It just doesn't load the images.
I built a site, and most of the content is pulling from an XML file. I think format some of that text with a css style sheet. When I publish this out on a powerbook running 10.5 with the first release of flash cs4 it works. But when I try to publish the same file on a new macbook pro or iMac the css doesn't work for me. Has anyone run into this kind of problem before?
I purchased an elastic menu flash component that uses AS3. Unfortunately, I've only just waded into AS2.I'm trying to replace the generic colored background with an image that is masked. Unfortunately, turning the layer into a mask breaks the functionality. The weird thing is that it works fine in Test Mode (Ctrl+Enter) and if published as an EXE. It just doesn't work as an swf.Has anyone run into this weird inconsistency before? Also, what is the best way to get into that component and possibly modify it?
I have a problem in Flash Site uploading. That is, i have created a flash site & in the dreamweaver i inserted the flash site as insert -> media -> Shockwave. The site is running inside the dreamweaver but when i publish it, flashsite is not running.
when I first created my website I defined it in a random folder of my own choosing. Now, many months of construction later I want add some php related stuff and have to setup a proper local testing server.
I therefore have to move the whole thing to an htpdocs subfolder in MAMP - how can I do this so all links and filepaths etc are updated?
[URL] setup the zoom and move for their site. When I try to do it, everything [eventually] ends up in the right spot, but it seems to "start" the scale at the middle and then after its completed the zoom, it moves the x and y values. I can't seem to get them to do both at the same time.
I'm trying to create a site where all of its sections are laid out side by side and the user can zoom into each section to check it out, just like this site: [URL]I have the actionscript that allows the user move the viewing area around, but im not sure how to incorporate the zooming into it. What I need might be something different entirely. Here's that:
ive created a flash site for a client and it runs very smoothly on Fire Fox, but when it is opened in IE, come elements crapped!! what should i do, should i plce a splash screen that will tell them that "this site is best viewed on fox!", IE has many bugs!! esp in flash. above is the link to the site. all are fine in fox, except for IE. the links are on the products section are all popups because thats what the client told me, he doesnt want it to be external swfs. notice on the products section: Firefox: all product links are functional IE: Some are functional and some are not, and theres a ! sign on the lower left saying error loading page.
If you have a look at the link underneath, its a menu i got made at flash vortex but i want to implement it on my site and make each word a link to a seperate page, is there a way to do this?
I've tried 3 different scripts for a random loading image layer and none of them work. Does anyone have code/script for this that will work for Flash 5? I'm totally hung up at this stage and can't move on with the page or site until I have this aspect resolved.
I have an mc with a person running. Inside that mc i have another animations for that person. I have a second mc (fire) that when he touch the person the person should go to and especific frame in his own mc. I do that and it works perfect. the problems is that i have a button inside the person mc that you you hit the letter V on the keyboard it should play the next frame (to make animation) but is not moving.
I am really new to flash and my first project is to design a flash site with a menu like http:[url]..... I really love the way this menu works as you know where you are at all times. Can anybody point me in the right direction of where to start? I have made all the graphics in flash and now I just need to start actionscripting.
Im making a site in flash, the thing is, my menu and contentpage is all the same for all the diffrent menues. So when u push portfolio i want the new menu to animate over the oldone. And i want to do it on all the menues.
I'm designing a site that has 4 parts (for the sake of explanation)Part 1 is the menu which will be it's own .swf, which I would like to have align to the top center of the browser even if you resize the browser. Part 2 is the content which I'd like to align to the center of the page, even when you resize the browser. This is also an .swf which corresponds with the menu.swf Part 3 and 4 don't have to be .swf's, but are just graphics in the top right corner and the other in the bottom left that stay in the corner even when the browser is resized.
