I have a problem in Flash Site uploading.That is, i have created a flash site & in the dreamweaver i inserted the flash site as insert -> media -> Shockwave.The site is running inside the dreamweaver but when i publish it, flashsite is not running.

i am building this site for my friend roddy and would like input on why it might be running slow. i know i have a bunch of videos at the bottom, but if i drop them out it still seems to run slow. i was just wondering if anyone might catch something i might be missing.
I am currently working on a flash website for a client, I am a PHP and Csharp developer and am reasonably new to flash/ActionScript 3. The website has a video gallery with 10 thumbnails, when one is clicked the specific video is loaded into an FLVPlayback component.
The problem I am having is that on slower internet connections the site and videos are running really slowly and even occasionally getting stuck and crashing! Currently there is no preloader for the site as a whole but I have a preloader for each video, a loading animation is played until the FLVPlayback component has loaded 50% of the video in, then it plays. I also set the bufferTime of the FLVPLayback component to 10 which seemed to help the stuttering sound.
The flvs are reasonably large some a few hundred MB, is there a way to optimize flash websites or does anyone have any tips on how to make the site and videos run smoother on slower connections, bearing in mind on my fast internet connection at home the site works well.
I have two MC's.One has a tweened animation that I want to run within the main MC. The tweened MC has on frame one a stop() command and on frame 2 begins a tweened animation. I've place the tweened MC inside the main MC. At the point at which I want the animated MC to run I use the mc.gotoAndPlay(2) command which indeed moves to that frame but the tween doesn't run. The tween runs fine if I remove the stop() command on frame 1. Why this behaviour?

I'm an application developer, and my standard usage of Flash is as follows: I'm creating an executable application, which contains a ShockwaveFlash object instance, which in turn is displaying a Flash Movie Clip - also created by myself. The executable application and the contained Flash clip are communicating via the ActionScript ExternalInterface (using XML strings) and the FSCommand.
I'd like to be able to debug the ActionScript code of the Flash file while I'm running/debugging my executable application. For that, I need to be able to start a remote debugging session from the Flash object running inside my executable. Problem is, I did not find any way of doing this.
When I publish the Flash SWF file with "permit debugging" checked, I'm able to start a remote debugging session when I'm displaying the file in a player or a browser (the "debugging" option is shown at the right-click menu of the Flash object), but I'm not able to do the same with the object inside my executable (the "debugging" option doesn't exist on the menu).
Environment Details: The executable application is using the ShockwaveFlash COM file to create the ShockwaveFlash object. The executable application is created using VB.NET, Visual Studio 2008, .NET 3.5. The Flash SWF file is created using Adobe Flash Professional CS4. I'm developing under Windows XP (SP3).

I'm pretty good when it comes to PHP, MySQL or HTML but I'm totally lost in AS.I have a project in Flash Builder 4 that I'm trying to add something to that was built in Flash Professional. I know where I want the functions to execute in the application, and I have linked the AS files to "test.as" which is the main AS file for "testapp.mxml". The problem is calling the "Detector" function from inside "FaceDetector.as" which is one of the external AS files. When the SWF, XML and image files are all in the same directory the SWF runs fine, displaying all the images.
What I want to do is display the SWF within a HTML page that I have created in dreamweaver.
I've inserted all the files into the same directory within the site and when I test the page the SWF loads but it doesnt carry out any of the actions prescribed in the XML file.
Could anyone point me to a tutorial or tell me where I should put the XML & image files in my site structure and if I need to alter the AS that calls the xml (Currently - xml.load("icons.xml");)
I'm trying to migrate a large project to Flex 4.The problem is that the AIR version must be compatible with old MACs (without intel processors) such as G5. As far as I know, only AIR runtime 1.5.3 works on these machines, but Flex 4 requires AIR 2.0.Is there any possible way to deploy an AIR application built with Flex 4 components on these MACs?

It then decides where to go on each movieclip timeline depending on which other balls have been placed in a target zone.Only the first condition is ever met, i.e. when all the balls are in a zone, they jump to their correct places in their timelines....however, it doesn't work for any of the other 'else if' conditions?

I work on a lot of digital media projects; which often require dynamic graphics. I find flash to be a great tool for this purpose. It's very easily to dynamically change text inside a swf, compensate for text overflow and apply lots of nice filters and effects. Not to mention font embedding. This technique works great for web pages, however quite often we want to use flash generated artwork in a html email. How can we do this? Well, we can use as3corelib to generate a jpg from a swf, and then use the generated image in an email.This is fine, so long as we can pre-generate all of the images, before sending out the emails. But say we need to generate the dynamic jpeg on the fly from a webpage? If the user on the webpage has flash installed we could configure a swf to generate the image for us.But what if the user has flash disabled? Maybe they are using an ios device or simply don't like flash. What I would like to do is set up a server side fallback that could run a swf, replace text in the swf based on supplied variables, generate a jpg using as3corelib and save the jpeg somewhere. The trick here is running flash player on the server. It would also need to run in a multithreaded way in case the server needed to process multiple requests.
