Professional :: Swf File In A Dreamweaver Site?

I have a site designed in dreamweaver. I inserted an swf file into the dreamweaver site to do the following :The swf allows people donate money through paypal and then return to the main site. I need a step somewhere so that I can disable buttons after the paypal process has occurred. Kglad has suggested that I direct to a new swf file when coming back from paypal. This makes sense, however, do I disable the donate button on the new swf file and if so, how will the actionscript recognise the button instances ?

I have a SWF file in my Dreamweaver site, that plays correctly. The problem is that the stage is white and we would like it to be transparent. Searching the archives the following advice was given:
in your html embedding code you need to set the wmode parameter to be "transparent" I'm wondering if this is the code in Dreamweaver or is this done in Flash. I'm working with CS5. Below is the code that matches the SWF file in Dreamweaver. I did change the wmode value from "opaque" to "transparent" and it didn't work.

I am using a trial version of CS5, and I'm wondering if this is the cause of my issue, but wouldn't think so.I am trying to display a video in a basic HTML file created in Dreamweaver.I am using flash to generate the .swf file to be embedded.I used the media encoder to convert the video file I have from .avi to .f4v.This all seems to work just fine and when I test the html file locally it works.The issue I have is when I load the files on a web server for further testing, it plays the video, but there are no controls visible on the page for the video.As stated above, they display correctly when I run this locally.I have also loaded the skin.swl file on the server in the same location as I have it locally.I have tried everything I can think of to try and can not get the controls to display while deployed on my web server.

I built a drop-down menu navigation scheme in Flash. I've inserted it into my Dreamweaver page, but the links don't work. They only work if you were to set it to open up in a new window. Is it possible to have your main navigation be a Flash file, but link to your Dreamweaver pages?

I have an SWF that calls an XML file to display some images.
When the SWF, XML and image files are all in the same directory the SWF runs fine, displaying all the images.
What I want to do is display the SWF within a HTML page that I have created in dreamweaver.
I've inserted all the files into the same directory within the site and when I test the page the SWF loads but it doesnt carry out any of the actions prescribed in the XML file.
Could anyone point me to a tutorial or tell me where I should put the XML & image files in my site structure and if I need to alter the AS that calls the xml (Currently - xml.load("icons.xml");)

Okay, there is something that I don't quite understand. I built a flash contact form in Flash CS4 and embedded the swf in my webpage using Dreamweaver CS4. I upload the files in my server but why it's not working? I created a test folder in my folder and it does work... (It doesn't work here) [URL] The problem is that I'm not receiving the information when the user enters and submits the information on the contact form. I do receive the information on the test link. I see that the background music in my Flash site is located in a symbol called muz When I click the properties of this symbol, the sound file's location is listed as.flashsoundmuz.wav I couldn't find that sound sub-folder in the flash folder nor could I find the file. I tried doing a search to look for the muz.wav file in my computer but it could not be found. Does anyone know how I can find and save this file?

I'm using the Flash CS4 IDE, and the first page of my site takes a lot longer to load than I want it to. So I wanted to go through the varied images / symbols / movie clips / sounds and so on to see where all the memory is being chewed up. When I go into my library, however, I can see the Name, LInkage, usecound and Type of my elements, but no mention of file size and I can't seem to find any right click menu that lets me add file size to the list of details being displayed. Is there a way to make it show file size? Or some workaround? And are there any best practices to reduce file size aside from using symbols for anything that's used more than once and reducing image and sound quality?

i'm trying to publish my website that I made entirely in flash CS5. Everything works perfectly when I publish the site in Flash, then upload the files to my server. I created the site on my 23' monitor, and when I view it on that computer, everything looks perfect, and works. However, I viewed the site from my laptop, and the site gets cutoff and the browser doesn't create a scroll bar so you cannot see everything.
To remedy this, I tried to use Dreamweaver to publish my site. Once again, it worked great on my 23' monitor, no problems what so ever. Viewed on my laptop once again, and now the browser creates the scroll bar. GREAT! However, now the entire site is stretched for some reason (but only when viewing it on the laptop). It seems to be a problem in Dreamweaver since when I viewed the Flash Plublished file, it didn't stretch the site.

After turning my files to fla and creating swf I happy embedded them into an area in my Dreamweaver page. A grey space area appeared with a Flash icon. A command window open placing two files in a script folder and then I went to the browser (safari in this case) and there was my webpage with a white space where the Flash video should have been.

Does anybody know why an .as file would automatically open in Dreamweaver? I can choose to open it in Flash but the default is set to Dreamweaver and I'd sure like to change that!

I have produced the home page in dreamweaver, with a button link for each of the movie clips, but when the clip ends it just stays on this clip, i need a kind of "home page" link at the end of the clip to take the viewer back to the page with all of the links to the other movies on,

I added an image background 1900 x 1200 in dreamweaver, which will serve as my background image for my web site. I would like to incorporate my .flv or .swf on top of my background image. Although, when doing so, the .flv or .swf gets placed under the background image and not on top. How do I place the .flv or .swf file on top of my background image in Dreamweaver CS5.
