Professional :: Display Video In A Basic HTML File Created In Dreamweaver
Mar 30, 2011
I am using a trial version of CS5, and I'm wondering if this is the cause of my issue, but wouldn't think so.I am trying to display a video in a basic HTML file created in Dreamweaver.I am using flash to generate the .swf file to be embedded.I used the media encoder to convert the video file I have from .avi to .f4v.This all seems to work just fine and when I test the html file locally it works. The issue I have is when I load the files on a web server for further testing, it plays the video, but there are no controls visible on the page for the video. As stated above, they display correctly when I run this locally.I have also loaded the skin.swl file on the server in the same location as I have it locally.I have tried everything I can think of to try and can not get the controls to display while deployed on my web server.
I have produced several .swf files to be used as part of an interactive cd. I have produced the home page in dreamweaver, with a button link for each of the movie clips, but when the clip ends it just stays on this clip, i need a kind of "home page" link at the end of the clip to take the viewer back to the page with all of the links to the other movies on,
I was reading about Flex- JavaScript communication via ExternalInterface. But I had a doubt, it said that the javascript code should be written in the HTML file of the application ? Now which is this HTML file ? Is it the index.template.html file per project or the HTML file created per MXML application ?
I am trying to display an HTML formated file in text area component using Action 3.0. The following script does not generates compiler errors, each function seems to be executed yet the file is not displayed. When trying the same code with myCV.txt and myCV_TA.text = (loader1.data) the text file is displayed OK. Flash MX and actionscript 2.0 had handled that differently but with success?
----------------------------------------------------- var loader1:URLLoader =new URLLoader();loader1.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE,displayText); textload("myCV.html");//--------------------- function textload(file:String){ loader1.load(new URLRequest(file));trace("in textload");} function displayText(e:Event){ myCV_TA.htmlText = (loader1.data);trace("in displaytext");} //-----------------------------
i have created an animation and when saved in notepad as an html file everything looks as it should when previewed in any browser, however when i paste the code into my site via dreamweaver the animation dose not appear.
I created a flash file that contains a flv file inside. After I published it on my Mac in both html and swf format and it played well. But when I copied all this folder include the swf, html and the source flv to test on a pc it played well but the video part (flv) was blank. So I copied the .fla file to pc and published again, then it works fine (including the flv video part) on both pc and Mac. All the settings were same while publishing. So I wonder what's wrong with publish from Mac side? I work with Mac and so it's very inconvenient to publish my work on PC.
I have a site designed in dreamweaver. I inserted an swf file into the dreamweaver site to do the following :The swf allows people donate money through paypal and then return to the main site. I need a step somewhere so that I can disable buttons after the paypal process has occurred. Kglad has suggested that I direct to a new swf file when coming back from paypal. This makes sense, however, do I disable the donate button on the new swf file and if so, how will the actionscript recognise the button instances ?
I'm trying to edit a flash file embedded in Dreamweaver CS4. I can't open the file the only thing it will do is play. Can FL CS4 open and edit FL CS3 files?
I have a SWF file in my Dreamweaver site, that plays correctly. The problem is that the stage is white and we would like it to be transparent. Searching the archives the following advice was given:
in your html embedding code you need to set the wmode parameter to be "transparent" I'm wondering if this is the code in Dreamweaver or is this done in Flash. I'm working with CS5. Below is the code that matches the SWF file in Dreamweaver. I did change the wmode value from "opaque" to "transparent" and it didn't work.
I have a SWF file I created using Adobe Flex and I cannot seem to properly embed it inside an HTML page. If I take another SWF file and use it instead, it works all the time. My SWF file is pretty big (1 MB) while the other one is tiny (25 KB). However, I can wait 5-10 minutes and the server connection is super fast and it still will never load. Is there something I need to do to the SWF to have it start up properly? My SWF almost never runs.
Internet Explorer will not display flash video in stand alone video players, similar to the one at: [URL] The other embedded flash content is viewable. In the IE8 tools, manage add on's, Adobe Flash Player is not listed.I've also noticed that when I access the Adobe Flash Settings manager, I can not uncheck "hardware acceleration".Windows XP Home Service Pack 2 is the operating system.
I am using Flash Professional 8 and Dreamweaver 8 to maintain a website. I have just started using flash to show video highlights from high school football games which I record. Using iMovie I export the video as quicktime file and then import to flash to convert to a flash video file to post on the web site. The video coming out of iMovie has very good contrast and the quicktime movie has the same good contrast. When looking at the file in Flash the contrast changes dramatically. I becomes washed out. I am using Max OX 10.6 operating system.
This code works perfect when testing, and it works perfect viewing the SWF, but when you view the HTML file with the SWF embedded, it doesn't display the text file content.
When I use swfobject (or, for that matter, publish from Flash)...if my HTML file is in the same folder as my Flash .swf (called "bin")...the flash file displays as a blank white page. I can tell the .swf is on the page, because when I right-click I see the flash context menu...however, the swf is blank. So the path isn't written incorrectly. If I move the HTML file inside the "bin" folder and change the path from "bin/myFile.swf" to "myFile.swf" everything works again...what gives?I think it might have something to do with using the Loader class...I am using loaders to loader external .jpeg files. But I don't know what to do about this other than to keep my HTML files in my "bin" folder which is a bit of a pain.
I am using a flipbook Flash/Actionscript 3.0 framework for a digital magazine[url]...
You can have videos embedded in the pages of the flipbook, but they can not be display fullscreen like Youtube videos, for example.
The flipbook can also import swf files to display as pages of the flipbook, so another way of embedding videos into a page of the flipbook would be to have the video player in the swf page you are embedding. This gives you more control over the style and the positioning of the video.
My question is: Is there a way with AS3.0 to togle the embedded video from normal predefined size to fullscreen and back?
I am building a website using AS3 for my son. He lives in another city so I am sending the html files as test so he can see how things are progressing. We have done this in the past but for some reason he only sees a white and black screen on his end.The only thing that has changed is I have embedded a new font from the text fonts. Should I have clicked the option include at runtime sharing?
I am trying to display an iframe map MLS real estate search tool inside of a flash site. I am being told that it is impossible to do because its html and flash wont allow it however, nothing is impossible there has to be a way.guide me in the steps to display an iframe inside my swf. Im using AS3 in CS5.
I have one problem with my swf file which I created,I created the file useing the dimentions 1024x768, for pc I need these mentions the same swf file I want to use it in some other divise which will support only 480x272 dimentions.so, without creating the same file with these dimentions, is there any posible way to resize the swf file while publishing and the devise which I want to play the swf file it will support only swf format.
I've inserted my flash movie into an HTML page and uploaded all the necessary files, but it will not display. I've seen other users post their code, so I will here:
I bought this flying birds MOV file from istockphotos and now I'm stuck trying to implement it into my webpage, I want it to run like a flash file, every few seconds but I can't seem to be able to import it into Adobe Flash, I tried using the code below but it does not allow me to do much and is not transparent:
I have an HTML file which is located in the same folder as my swf movie. I want to be able to display the HTML file in my swf movie using Actionscript3.
I urgently need to be able to check the authenticity of a Flash CS4 file. There is no information given about author etc in the properties using Windows but I was hoping that Flash embeds author information and history.
I have created a Flash intro for my website my hosting compnay is Godaddy and the only load certain types of index files. How do I either embed or publsih this swf file to display as whole screen. When I publish as intro.htm I only get a small window in the upper right corner.
