View 2 RepliesI am using a trial version of CS5, and I'm wondering if this is the cause of my issue, but wouldn't think so.I am trying to display a video in a basic HTML file created in Dreamweaver.I am using flash to generate the .swf file to be embedded.I used the media encoder to convert the video file I have from .avi to .f4v.This all seems to work just fine and when I test the html file locally it works.The issue I have is when I load the files on a web server for further testing, it plays the video, but there are no controls visible on the page for the video.As stated above, they display correctly when I run this locally.I have also loaded the skin.swl file on the server in the same location as I have it locally.I have tried everything I can think of to try and can not get the controls to display while deployed on my web server.

View 2 RepliesI would like to incorporate Flash animations into video editing applications but when I save the Flash files as movies the quality is not there (Flash affects fall off, trails and such). My swf files look great there is no lag and the motion is clean. How can I get swf file quality to video? What is create a Projector?
View 1 RepliesI am new to Flash CS5 and I am working on a Flash animation project. I drew everything in Illustrator CS5 and imported these drawings in Flash to do the animation. I have different scenes & exported them all as separate movie clips. I was thinking of using Final Cut Pro to make the final movie, but the video quality is not good & its pixelated.and whats the most suitable render width & height for tv screening ?
View 2 RepliesI am loading a h.264 mp4 video (quite big, 2048 x 768) into a flv player. When I test it inside flash (Ctrl + Enter), the video runs really smooth. However, when I publish my .exe (or even a .swf, although I need the .exe),
View 2 RepliesI just converted a WMV to flash video .flv through the wizard in Flash CS3 Pro. It converted it OK, but made quite a large file.Is it possible to produce a file of lower size and quality.Is there a bit-rate setting somewhere?(We have some people outside the US in developing countries who don't have such a good connection.Whats about the lowest you would go in terms of quality / bitrate?)
View 1 RepliesI have a higher resolution .flv file and I'm trying to replace an older version within my Flash file. However once replace (by use of the "swap video" feature when right clicking video), it blows the video up way bigger. When trying to scale down the video, it become fuzzy/pixelated upon output to .swf. Any proper way to resize this higher-res video without loosing picture quality?
View 1 RepliesI'd like to get your thoughts on the best way to deliver full-browser (scale to the size of the browser window) video. I'm skilled in the creation of the content but learning to make the most out of Flash CS5 and would love to hear what you would suggest.Most of the tutorials I can find on full browser/scalable video are for earlier versions of Flash; what is the best practice today? Best resolution/format for the video? If there is an Adobe guide to this I'm happy to eat humble pie if someone can redirect me to it; I'm using CS5 Production Premium.I like the full screen video effect they have on the "Sounds of pertussis" web-site;
View 1 RepliesI want to make a space in dreamweaver where people can upload a picture, the picture then stays there for that particular person as ,lets say for example a 'cookie', can i make this in flash sing as2 or can i do it in dreamweaver, i have added a simple picture showing what i would like.
View 0 RepliesI am using Flash Professional 8 and Dreamweaver 8 to maintain a website. I have just started using flash to show video highlights from high school football games which I record. Using iMovie I export the video as quicktime file and then import to flash to convert to a flash video file to post on the web site. The video coming out of iMovie has very good contrast and the quicktime movie has the same good contrast. When looking at the file in Flash the contrast changes dramatically. I becomes washed out. I am using Max OX 10.6 operating system.
View 2 RepliesI have an AS3 video player I've put together using fairly standard Netstream method and it plays my flv's fine. The problem is, the sound quality varies wildly depending on who is looking at it. When I test locally, the audio in the video is fine, but on a windows machine it goes horrifically loud to the point of distortion, also the client (outside the UK) has said it sounds fine to them, so It appears to be only happening here.
View 2 RepliesI am developing a simple application using flex which records a video with my webcam and stores it to the media server and then i pull it in order to show it.The problem is that the quality of the video played is blurry while it is displayed with the same size as captured. I have played a lot with the values in the functionsbelow where i attach my cam to the netstream objec: cam.setMode(640, 480, 25);cam.setQuality(0,90);and the result is an flv video which i play later on but with not a good quality. The server is on my pc so i dont have transfer delays because of low connection. Whatcan i do to have a better output? i use netstream play method to play the video and i do the following
video = new Video(640,480);
video.attachNetStream(ns);
video.smoothing=true;

I have Dreamweaver CS5, and used the "Insert FLV" function to generate a flash video player. It creates a /Scripts directory with two files, swfobject_modified.js and expressInstall.swf, and it also creates two .swfs in the directory the .html file is located, FLVPlayer_Progressive.swf and an .swf named after the skin (e.g. Clear_Skin_1.swf).
When I have Dreamweaver generate the html code for all this with a relative path, it works. When I give Dreamweaver an absolute path, it doesn't. You can see an example at www.youngstreetdesign.com/staging/flvtest/test.html.
The top is the relative, the second the absolute. The third is something unrelated.Dreamweaver says "enter relative or absolute path here" in the entry where you give it the video's path, and the documentation says that absolute paths should work, so, I'm at a loss.
When publishing a project from Camtasia Studio 7, the params list includes a setting for quality. But instead of the usual "high" value, it sets it to "best". I Google'd and searched these forums but had no luck finding any definitive explanation if these two settings are equivalent. Can anybody enlighten? This topic also spurred another question, does the quality default to the highest value if the parameter value is invalid?
View 2 RepliesI placed my swf. file in DW, uploaded swf. file and DW file to ftp site and the page shows up with a black area when page is reviewed on website.
View 6 RepliesThere is no maintainAspectRation property for video object.Then how to improve the quality of video when even we resize the video dynamically.It has to maintain good quality.How to achieve this.
View 7 RepliesCapture the webcam, how do I put more quality into the video? The video comes out very bad! Does anyone know how to better quality in webcam video? And if I put larger(1280x1024), also is very bad! Is there any way that does not happen!
The Code:
Code: Select allvar cam:Camera = Camera.getCamera();
var video:Video = new Video(320, 240);
video.attachCamera(cam);
this.addChild(video);
I am testing a flash to run video on my web site [url]... it loads the skin but not the video. I have tested the page in a browser from my computer and it works but it does work when loaded from the web. When I test the page on my computer in internet explorer it gave a blocked content warning but worked when I allowed blocked content.?

Is there anyway to use <divs> in Flash the same way you use them in dreamweaver?
View 1 RepliesI have a site designed in dreamweaver. I inserted an swf file into the dreamweaver site to do the following :The swf allows people donate money through paypal and then return to the main site. I need a step somewhere so that I can disable buttons after the paypal process has occurred. Kglad has suggested that I direct to a new swf file when coming back from paypal. This makes sense, however, do I disable the donate button on the new swf file and if so, how will the actionscript recognise the button instances ?
View 3 RepliesI'm building a flash website where I'll show my tv commercial works. In the flash project I placed a FLVPlayback component that will play different flv videos. Those videos look very good and crispy when played in quicktime player. But when I export the swf from flash and play it the videos look bad with a lot of compression artifacts and pixelation.To show you what I exactly mean you can go to my website (url...) and click the 8th video in the scroll panel. Compare it's quality with the link to which refers the (url...)
View 1 RepliesI have this simple code to access the webcam:[code]The quality of the video is extremely bad, with big compression fragments.I am using a built-in webcam as test, so I don't expect too much. But what I see is not normal for my webcam.So how do I set the quality of the video?I cannot see any difference in quality if I remove the setQuality call.
View 1 Repliestake a peek at youtube main pageWhat's your thoughts on the "Lost" TV show preview there. It's huge, it has sound, nonetheless it runs smoothly and almost instantaneously. And the quality is greatIt is interactive therefore it's kind of like a tiny mini website within the website, swf with video in it, right?now how do you get video of this quality to run this smoothly as far as AS goes? Looking in the Safari Activity window I don't even see things downloading (of considerable kilobyte size that is)

View 3 RepliesI have produced several .swf files to be used as part of an interactive cd. I have produced the home page in dreamweaver, with a button link for each of the movie clips, but when the clip ends it just stays on this clip, i need a kind of "home page" link at the end of the clip to take the viewer back to the page with all of the links to the other movies on,
View 1 RepliesI am looking to add a horizontal text ticker onto a dreamweaver cs4 page. This is to highlight areas within the site so will not be linked to any news association, simply used for the benefit of the site and probably changed daily.I am looking for something simple that can be pasted in and will run even with me changing it!
View 1 RepliesI added an image background 1900 x 1200 in dreamweaver, which will serve as my background image for my web site. I would like to incorporate my .flv or .swf on top of my background image. Although, when doing so, the .flv or .swf gets placed under the background image and not on top. How do I place the .flv or .swf file on top of my background image in Dreamweaver CS5.
