I have some files in my src directory, some are .class files (Java class files) and some are .properties files, when I create the Adobe air native installer these files are not included. Why is that? How can I work around that?
Also it excludes .mxml files, but that's good. I'm sure that's related, how to change what it includes or excludes?
I am trying to create an AIR Installer file through CS3 that has my assets folder included. What I need to happen is, when the AIR Installer runs, it needs to create an assets folder along with everything else, in that folder it needs to have subfolders with a few files in them. At the moment, I can only add single files, not handy when I have images, music and xml I want neatly organised. I want to select whole folders to add, idealy just my assets, at the moment I can only add one at a time.

View 3 RepliesI am developing flash app to be embedded in the html page, and i have some text in the swf file with certain font.Now,on platforms that does not have those fonts, it will definitely display different fonts than the one I originally intended.I could use the character embedding feature, but there seems to be only two options.One is include all the glyphs which make the file to be monstrous size or
there is an autofill button which will only embedded letters of the font that are in the swf file.Now the problem with the second approach is that,the word will change dynamically making the second option useless. i.e. if word (thus letters) change such that it contains letters whose glyph or whatever is not embedded it is a problem you can see.
Plausible solution for me seems to be include all the letters for desired font, which I could not figure out how to do it or if it is possible to do this at all.Or if it is possible to just copy those fonts into one of my web hosting folders, and dynamically loads them.
I have made an AIR 2.0 app that uses NativeProcess so it needs to be packaged as a native installer (.exe) rather than a .air file.

View 1 RepliesI have an AIR app that gets bundled with XML files that the app needs. These get put into the APP Storage Directory, of course. Works great. But when I install a new version ( which includes new XML files) , the new files don't get added or overwrite the ones from the previous version. It seems that if that directory is there from a previous install, the installer will ignore the part where it moves included files.

In the process of writing the code, whenever I make a change and then test the movie, the flash movie is obviously still looking at the OLD information. I tried using the "Delete ASO Files" on the menu, to no avail.I can' find these ASO files anywhere on mycomputer.Aha! I tried something else. When I try to export my application to native installer with using Export Build Release, it isn't importing my sqlite database files which are in my application directory. Is there a way that I can import those database files ?

I want to generate my own classes using air, I just have not found anything that explains how I can save say a text file as a .as file.
I am writing a basic Air app where one of the features is the ability to stream voicemail off of a local PBX.The voicemails are saved in WAV format and due to outside factors this cannot be changed. According to the Air docs there is no support for the audio tag because the flash player is built in, however, the flash player doesn't support wav files.
Was this just a large oversight on Adobe's part or am I missing something obvious here?

View 3 RepliesI'm trying to use Adobe's OggVorbis library. But I can't seem to get the Sound object to loop. I even tried looping the _sound object inside the AudioDecoder.as in the "com.automatastudios.audio.audiodecoder" package. Do you really have to reload the file and stream it over and over?

It will not load the homepage or if it does it open it I am unable to navigate away from it. I have tried to deactivate flash but that didn't help either. I was hoping that mxmlc could spit them out (like gcc's -M option), but its option list doesn't seem to have anything relevant. I could write a parser, but would prefer not to reinvent the wheel if it has already been done, particularly given the two very different languages involved. In particular, star imports and in-package implicit imports could be troublesome.
