If I just display regular text it works or if I change the textArea element to a RichEditableText element it works fine. Since this is for a mobile app I would prefer to use the textArea element as recommended by Adobe.Here is the MXML code for the textArea. All I get is the border and no content displayed.

I want to use a proxy on the HTML Control found in Adobe AIR.I have tried looking at the AS3 docs on Adobe but honestly, it didn't explain the usage clearly to me and looking at Adobe's example, I can't seem to make out anything off of it.
View 1 RepliesI have a scenario that I get an string with html data, this is not just html data it's an email (outlook) saved as an html file and dropped in the string.Now this string needs to be formatted to an html document and should be a clickable link in a datagrid. So when I click on the link, the HTML document should pop-up and should gave me a nice HTML page that is readable for the normal users. I hope it's a bit clear what I want o_0. don't know where to start.

The only thing I can think of at the moment is to set the HTML control to a new HTML control, although this is a bit of a pain.

What's happening is that the user fills out a form in the HTML Viewer, then when they click the submit button I want to be notified of the page change.
If they land on URL A, then they'll be shown one message. If they land on URL B, they'll be shown another.
However, the event isn't firing.
I've also tried COMPLETE and HTML_DOM_INITIALIZE.
I have a HTML control in Flex that succefully loads a page. Is there someway that i can extract or get all the images from that HTML control and show them?

If I have a flex swc emebbed in my html page, and the flex swc contains an flex 4 videoDisplay player, which has an option for fullscreen. How do I make the fullscreen work. Ideally, the app would be able to retrieve the DOM path of the selected element. Posting back the innermost surrounding DIV-element to some Flex/AIR method would be fine too.

A php file intermediates the access with the database. There a couple of links to certain sections of questions and then links to certain pages. I've tried one thing so far. What I did was use a custom item renderer that checks for a value in the data property upon a FlexEvent.DATA_CHANGE event. If that value is not set, I tried setting the item renderer's selectable property to false. This, unfortunately, does not seem to work.
I am trying to make a generic list control that has x buttons in it so that users can remove items from the list by clicking the x button. However, this list control needs to support item renderers while still standardizing the layout of items placed next to x buttons.
So I figure the best approach would be to extend the list control and use a renderer that draws the x button and combines that with what ever renderer the user supplies. Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to do that.
I tried overriding newInstance method from the IFactory interface and used that to create an HBox that contains my button and inserts the newInstance result from a user supplied renderer, however it wasn't complete. It displayed as I expected, but the mouse over effect only worked on the user supplied renderer portion and not the entire HBox that my custom renderer made.

I'm working on a project where I need to make a Flex application that fills the entire browser window (note that I mean that the toolbars should be visible and all that even if I say fullscreen).To develop the SWF I'm using FlashDevelop (for the first time) and I'm stuck. When I build the project it displays no error and a file website.swf is generated.When I browse to this file with Firefox, it displays what I want and in fullscreen. However when I go to the generated index.html I get a white horizontal bar at the top of my screen (again the browser window).I've looked around a bit on the internet and found several people suggesting that the CSS should include stuff like:

I'm having an issue with the PDF displaying outside the viewable area of the mx:HTML control in Flex. When the application starts up - the mx:HTML is set to a certain size, but can be enlarged if the application is maximized. I have a question for any seasoned Action scripters. Here's my problem, I have two flash files embedded in different parts of an HTML page and I want one flash file to play the other when it gets done. I would assume that I need to use PHP or javascript to talk with the HTML file that would send the other flash file a command which it was "listening" for. I really don't know however.
