Sep 22, 2010I'm working on a project where I need to make a Flex application that fills the entire browser window (note that I mean that the toolbars should be visible and all that even if I say fullscreen).To develop the SWF I'm using FlashDevelop (for the first time) and I'm stuck. When I build the project it displays no error and a file website.swf is generated.When I browse to this file with Firefox, it displays what I want and in fullscreen. However when I go to the generated index.html I get a white horizontal bar at the top of my screen (again the browser window).I've looked around a bit on the internet and found several people suggesting that the CSS should include stuff like:

Flash :: Html - SWF Object Rendering At The Html Page
Jun 19, 2011I would like to ask when swf object rendering at the html page? Is it rendered only it's visible? If swf at the page bottom that is not visible, will swf be rendered when I scroll down? The problem is that swf object raises some events when it's rendered and I would like to force rendering even if swf object is not visible.

Oct 27, 2011I've been trying to set up this test page for my flash game but it refuses to gain focus on load. I read a bunch of forum entries and didn't get it to do anything, I can't really believe this should be so hard.

May 26, 2011Is it possible to bring a div in front of a flash movie that is in full screen?How can I do this if it's possible? I want to make a little box in my site and put some links in it and position it on top of a flash movie that is playing in my site so the user can have shortcuts there.I don't want to put the links inside the flash animation :D

Jul 1, 2011I have a scenario that I get an string with html data, this is not just html data it's an email (outlook) saved as an html file and dropped in the string.Now this string needs to be formatted to an html document and should be a clickable link in a datagrid. So when I click on the link, the HTML document should pop-up and should gave me a nice HTML page that is readable for the normal users. I hope it's a bit clear what I want o_0. don't know where to start.

Mar 7, 2010The problem is that when the site is being watched on, say a 10 inch notebook where the height of the screen is only 600px, the site is simply too big and it won't show all the content on the site.I was hoping there was a way to, either via actionscript or javascript(which I know next to nothing about), would be a way to tell the browser to use a normal HTML scrollbar when the stage size becomes too small ...If I haven't explained my question good enough or I need to post my actionscript code, I can do so when I get home.

Apr 15, 2012I've made a flash application using actionscript 3, I wanted this application size to be dynamic, To be able to embed it in any size and let it adjust itself accordingly. I managed to accomplish this, theres a problem though: The original width of the application is 700 pixels. I'm embedding the flash in a smaller size, (400 for example) going to full screen, and when I exit, the application sets itself back to being 700 pixels wide, and isn't adjusting itself to the 400px width of the actual embedding area..

question: is it possible to click on the button in aaa.html and have the action occur in bbb.html? (for example, clicking the button in aaa.html will load a swf in bbb.html)

(on a blank window)there are some tutorials but none of them are real fullscreens the menu of the browser is always on.I could load the projector... but when I do so, the browser asks if I want to open or save it.And I dont want the projector to be saved bay any other computer... and the projector is much more heavier but if you know hot to stop the message from saving, its fine for me as well.

ActionScript 3.0 :: HTML Links In Fullscreen Mode?
Jul 28, 2010Is there any graceful way one could have Flash leave FULLSCREEN mode (return to NORMAL) when a user clicks on a link formatted with HTML which opens a new (_blank) window? Currently, it opens the new window but remains in fullscreen mode (focus remaining on the current), so you never notice the window or have any indication that a window opened until you return to NORMAL.
It would be easy enough to do this with other buttons by throwing it into the MouseEvent handler function, but as far as I know HTML-formatted links (ones created with the <a> tag in an HTML TextField) only dispatch an event if the URL prefix is "event:", according to the docs:
Dispatched when a user clicks a hyperlink in an HTML-enabled text field, where the URL begins with "event:".
I suppose I can just throw the actual URL into the 'text' property of the LINK event and open a new window from there....but I was hoping there was a better way?
(Actually, now that I think about it, maybe in future projects I will create a simple urlOpener utility class which does exactly this, and handle *all* links this way so they go through a common funnel....)

Dec 3, 2003I have a html/flash site now, [URL]. i access email from my site itself by giving the userid and pwd text box which i copied from the actual website hosting my email access. i copied the entire <form...></form> tag to my page and thus was able to put the name and pwd in my home page only and access the email in a separate window. now i have redesigned my webpage using only flash. i would like to know how i can implement the same using flash. as i have not much experience using action scripting i am a bit stuck about how you pass the hidden form variables. the below is the the exact form syntax:

Jan 26, 2010I was wondering if anyone has came up with a way to float html elements, with some content, over .swf without triggering any flash events.
In my case the problem is I have flash map, and drop down menu on top of it.
I simplified this into the following example:

Mar 5, 2010I was wondering if it is possible to create a flash movie that rotates values that are stored in HTML. For example if i have these 3 containers:

I want to have some flash movie rotate these values every 10 seconds. I don't want to program it hard into flash, it has to be variable. It has to display the first set, then after 10 sec the second, and so on.Maybe if it is possible something that stops the toggle, and skip to just the second, or just the third.I also don't want to use javascript to do this (jQuery etc.), because this conflicts with another timer on the website.Is there a way of doing this?

Feb 25, 2010when you go to the home.html page an animation will play from start and then stop at the end of it. However, for all other pages i.e contact.html aboutus.html we need the animation to skip to the end straight away and not to play the whole animation through. I was thinking this would be controlled by a variable or some kind of external text file ect. Basically in the first frame the actionscript needs to basically say
"if this html page is aboutus.html then go to the last frame and stop" and with the index page it would say "if this html page is index.html then keep playing"
