(I don't have the rep to make both of these a link)Both examples have "View Source" enabled.To see the problem use the broken example, select an album and scroll down one row. Scroll back up and the images will be switched.If you try this on the working example it's fine.This seems to be a widely known bug, but I can't find a solution for it.
UPDATE: I started playing with this example again and found out something else. Turns out you don't have to override the data setter. You can create a new method in the itemRenderer that is set whenever the tile wants to refresh. So the trick is to not rely on the initialize or creationComplete methods.This is what I have for the itemRenderer in the Application.

View 2 RepliesI'm trying to make an interactive quiz show type thing. The video shows someone reading the questions, then the answers appear as four clickable images after the question has been read. Then a user clicks on an answer it updates the score and moves to the next question.
Video has been imported and it plays perfectly. Movie controls (Play, pause etc) work fine as well. But since the video doesn't appear in the flash timeline (but in the external FLVplayback component) how can I get the images for the answers to appear on the screen at the right time? I have to use the FLV playback for a number of reasons so I have to find a solution to this problem within that context.
I put in navigation and event cue points in the flash video encoder first, the idea being to have the video pause at that point and make the buttons appear then, but I'm getting constant errors with everything I try.
(I believe you use event listeners to wait for the cue point and then use addChild to put in the video, vid.pause(); to pause it but I'm just getting tons of errors every time I try anything like that so clearly I don't know my syntax well enough)
So I have two circles and a square on stage, myCircle1, myCircle2, and mySquare. You can drag the two circles, if you drop either one outside the square it'll snap back to where it originally was, if it's touching the box it'll snap to the center of the square.
I want it so when the second circle (either one) snaps to the center of the square, the first one will go back to it's original co-ordinates. So only one circle can be in the square at any time.
I've attached my as file with the current code.
I want it to while still easing into place like the iphone does. For example my stage is 550px. The drag and throw MC is 1650. That's 550x3. If the first image is showing starting at x axis 0 and you drag to the left it will ease into place stopping and showing the second image stopping the image at x axis 0. And the same thing scrolling to the next one and scrolling back. So the code is below and I've attached the movie that I'm working on.

I know that there is a possibility to open a video file either using a flash player or html5 in a browser, but is there a possibility to open it at the certain place (lets say 60 seconds from the beginning) or automatically fast forward it after opening?

If my camera supports HD recording, will I be able to record in HD format via the AIR application? How can I export the recorded video in any format I want? View 2 RepliesI'm creating a simple banner for my site and have run into problems with easing.
What I want to happen is for the title of my site to bounce into place from frames 1 to 60 and then for an adjacent tag line to transition from blurry to clear during frames 61 to 90.
This is what my timeline looks like:
What I can't figure out for the life of me is how to get the title to remain on the stage after it stops bouncing on frame 60.
I tried extending the bounce tween to frame 90 then using the motion editor to shrink it to frame 60, but, for some reason it becomes distorted and no longer looks like a bounce:

What's the best way to sort an array while making sure that elements of equal value stay in the same position?

In Firefox (running on Greasemonkey), myDiv appears on top of the Flash object. In Chrome (running on Tampermonkey), it is added underneath. I can't seem to change this by setting z-index - it is ignored.

Now I need to render this video into my Flex Web Application. One way to do it, as I see, is somehow extract the 'data' attribute and put it as a 'source' for spark VideoPlayer. Is there any better way to do this? Also note that, I require to render all video formats (avi, mov, wmv etc.) and not just flv or f4v.
I'm new to Flash (sort of - I used it a bit back in 1999-2000, but it's changed a LOT since then). I'm making an educational game for my company that involves dragging labels from a word-bank to their correct position on a diagram. I want the kids to be able to drag any one of the five labels and move them to any one of five marked positions on the diagram. I'm using Flash CS5 with Actionscript 3. We have a flash object and when we use blockUI or some other overlay div with opacity < 1, it doesn't make the flash area transparent. However, it do hides the flash object when opacity is 1, but I want to have the overly div transparent which make the flash area transparent too like it doing for other HTML objects.

For overlay div we are using jQuery.blockUI and FancyBox (when we need to some popup and block the UI). We also tried to overlay the flash object using a div with z-index. It overlays and hides the flash when opacity is 1 but not when it's < 1.

I'm having trouble setting up a Graphic object (a solid filled rectangle) to be masked with an image that gets loaded at runtime. I've managed to get it to work with the following code:

Setting the PNG inside the <s:mask> makes the stage render nothing, while adding the mask programmatically in the init() method causes correct behaviour. It took me quite a while to figure this out and I'd like to understand what it is that I'm doing incorrectly in the MXML approach, as that seems to be what is being done in the Cookbook (other than me using an Image and the example using a Group wrapped BitmapImage).
I have an Image object that gets resized to the containers size when the image loads.The images that it will load are dynamic in size so after resize I end up with a sliver of the image object's white background showing.How can I make the Image object not have a white background and be transparent.Parts of the PNG's have transparent parts but show up as white due to the white background of the object is it loaded into.
