Html :: Place An Overlay DIV With Opactiy < 1 Over A Flash Object
Apr 4, 2011
We have a flash object and when we use blockUI or some other overlay div with opacity < 1, it doesn't make the flash area transparent. However, it do hides the flash object when opacity is 1, but I want to have the overly div transparent which make the flash area transparent too like it doing for other HTML objects.
Here is the code expert:
[Code]....
For overlay div we are using jQuery.blockUI and FancyBox (when we need to some popup and block the UI). We also tried to overlay the flash object using a div with z-index. It overlays and hides the flash when opacity is 1 but not when it's < 1.
is it possible to let clicks on a HTML element that's overlaying a Flash or Silverlight object bubble through to the Flash / Silverlight object? I've been experimenting with this, but i can't figure out if it is even possible because of possible security restrictions to prevent clickjacking.I don't have access to the source code to the FL / SL object, so i can't implement an ExternalInterface or something like that.
What I have is a simple flash movie displaying text. I want it to play covering the whole screen, then once it's finished disappear and then thats where the home page is.
I'm having trouble displaying a overlay div saying "Please wait..." on top of a flash movie, even with absolute positioning and z-index highier than the flash movie itself. But the overlay div is still behing the flash movie. Why is that? I think it's something to do with embed/param tags but I'm not sure? Here's the code:
usually it can be solved with the "wmode transparent" param, but in firefox i have a strange problem. when i overlay a flash element with a part of a div the div renders strange (like stairs at the border of the flash element)

the grey area (and a small transparent area above) is the flash element. the outline is the div with a border.
the error occurs only on FF (i have 3.6) chrome/safari works fine...
CODE:
its an swfobject implementation. the overlaying div/ul is positioned after the flash-wrapper. <div id="flash-wrapper"> <object width="740" height="500" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
Possible Duplicate: Div Z-Index issue with Flash movie is there a way to have an external flash movie that I have iframed in from another server show up behind an overlay div? Currently when I open my overlay, the flash movie shows through it.
I'm trying to place html elements over a flash video which must be rendered with wmode="direct" (video occupies entire window with html UI to be laid over it, anything other than direct makes CPU usage surge).
I've tried using an iframe to include the flash video, but I'm still unable to place any elements over it. Is there a workaround to achieve this?
I am trying to overlay a div on top of a flash object, embedded in a web page and viewed on android web browser. The flash object always appears on top of the div, no matter what I do. My page works fine on other OSs/browsers. Is this a known bug? Is there a bug ID and/or an ETA on a fix?
flash, actionscript, and the class/method/static/instance paradigm. I do have one class that I use, it loads a png file and adds it to the stage, I can then manipulate it with the mouse. What I want to do is add some text on top of the png file. When the user clicks and drags the png file around, I want the text to stick with it, basically make it part of the png, overlay it, combine them, group them, whatever.Here is the class I am using to load the png.
I've got a small table populated with information from a database that I'm trying to deploy as a table above a flash movie.
Here's the DIV ID for this:
However, no matter what I do the table keeps displaying BEHIND the flash images. The table is in a layer set an visability at 1 while the flash is set at 0. And if you information for both mac and pc platforms even better.
I'm working on a page that has some ads on it. One of them loads in an ad with wmode=window.I don't have the ability to change that flash code. I need to put a modal box on top of that flash element, but every combination of using z-indexes and iframe shims has failed (both manually and using bgiframe). Is there a way to place html content on top of a flash element with wmode=window? I'm testing this in chrome so far.
I've just started working on a Flash-based annotation tool. How it works is I place a transparent flash movie in a DIV over a HTML page and draw on it.Now the drawing part turned out to be fairly simple and I found numerous examples to get me free-form drawing. Its the erasing that's driving me nuts. All the examples out there I looked at either cleared the entire canvas, or let me click on specific drawings to take them off the canvas. I need an MS-Paint style eraser that just rubs things in its path.I could draw in white to simulate erasing, but that wont work. I have a transparent flash movie and the background HTML needs to show through.Here's the script for the drawing bit I picked up from Adobe, and on which I'm trying to build the eraser.
[url]...would it be possible to integrate HTML pages into this template using AS3.0. Specifically, I would like to put the HTML page inside one of the modules, and have it appear and dissappear just like the other modules, except the content would be HTML driven.
I would like the HTML page to load with an animation like the module backgrounds do, but the content can be easily customized because it's HTML.
I have a script which adds a div to a page containing a full-screen Flash object, like this:
[Code]...
In Firefox (running on Greasemonkey), myDiv appears on top of the Flash object. In Chrome (running on Tampermonkey), it is added underneath. I can't seem to change this by setting z-index - it is ignored.
I would like to ask when swf object rendering at the html page? Is it rendered only it's visible? If swf at the page bottom that is not visible, will swf be rendered when I scroll down? The problem is that swf object raises some events when it's rendered and I would like to force rendering even if swf object is not visible.
So I have two circles and a square on stage, myCircle1, myCircle2, and mySquare. You can drag the two circles, if you drop either one outside the square it'll snap back to where it originally was, if it's touching the box it'll snap to the center of the square.
I want it so when the second circle (either one) snaps to the center of the square, the first one will go back to it's original co-ordinates. So only one circle can be in the square at any time.
Then perhaps in the swf with as3 using something like this?
var myloader:URLLoader = new URLLoader() myloader.load(new URLRequest(this.root.loaderInfo).parameters)) myloader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onLoaded)
[code]...
Unsure how to access it using the correct path to the param and then how to get the php variable $myVariable into myloader.data?
I have a flash file which loads an XML file containing links to my photos.var listLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader( new URLRequest("filelist.xml") );When I test out the Flash movie through Flash, there are no problems.When I place it in my index file, the XML file no longer loads. (just the swf)When I place the XML file in the same directory and the XML and swf files, it loads the images.[code]I've also changed the url in actionscript to:var listLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader( new URLRequest("mediaflashfilelist.xml") );
I know that there is a possibility to open a video file either using a flash player or html5 in a browser, but is there a possibility to open it at the certain place (lets say 60 seconds from the beginning) or automatically fast forward it after opening?
I have multiple ideas/designs which want to work into my new site. It utilises designing graphics in AE, exported as .swf that lay on an alpha, building them into my HTML page layout, and once there the alpha/space in the design will enable HTML background elements to show through. How do I set this up in AE, HTML or Flash?
I'm creating a simple banner for my site and have run into problems with easing.
What I want to happen is for the title of my site to bounce into place from frames 1 to 60 and then for an adjacent tag line to transition from blurry to clear during frames 61 to 90.
This is what my timeline looks like:
What I can't figure out for the life of me is how to get the title to remain on the stage after it stops bouncing on frame 60.
I tried extending the bounce tween to frame 90 then using the motion editor to shrink it to frame 60, but, for some reason it becomes distorted and no longer looks like a bounce:
What's the trick to getting the title to stay in place?
What's the best way to sort an array while making sure that elements of equal value stay in the same position?
When I do something like this:
var i:uint; var myArray:Array = new Array(); myArray.push({num:1, type:0});
[Code].....
The objects that have equal num values swap places everytime I do a sort. So how do I get the sort to not swap the positions of objects that have the same value?
I want a symbol (instance name: "bullet") to appear at the same x and y where another symbol ("this" symbol, the symbol the code is attached to) is when the spacebar is pushed, but only if "bullet" is off-screen. I tried the following code, but "bullet" doesn't appear on top of the other symbol ("this") when I push the spacebar:
Code: if (Key.isDown (Key.SPACE) ) { //space key is down if(_root.bullet._y<0) { //checks to see if "bullet" is off the screen bullet._x=this._y //sets "bullet"'s x to "this" x
How to make sure the sheep will only appear on the green field on the left hand side? I use the following but they appear all over the place. onClipEvent(load) { _x=Math.floor(Math.random()*379+150) //where width is the width of your stage _y=Math.floor(Math.random()*376+150) //where height is the height of your stage }
I'm new to Flash (sort of - I used it a bit back in 1999-2000, but it's changed a LOT since then). I'm making an educational game for my company that involves dragging labels from a word-bank to their correct position on a diagram. I want the kids to be able to drag any one of the five labels and move them to any one of five marked positions on the diagram. I'm using Flash CS5 with Actionscript 3. I used code snippets, so that each individual label has the following code associated with it:
