Actionscript 3 :: Swf File To Be Packaged In An Apk (Android)?
Jan 2, 2012
I have an android tablet. I made a swf file with mouse events, it rotates images to right and left. I wanted to put it on Android and run it as an .apk file which consists of the swf file embeded within it. I tried running the swf file through webView it works perfectly fine. But i wanted to make it as an application.
Firstly, I've created with Adobe Captivate an SWF file which I have been able to reference in an aspx page and when I view the website, it runs fine (no other file is referenced to run this). Example of the below code in the aspx page I have created:
My objective is this. I have a final edited FLV video file. I also have Flash Professional. What I want to do is create a single SWF file (like with the Adobe Captivate example), which will include the video and the skin for the progress bar, volume etc and then reference this in another aspx page for the website.
I want to be able to have the same 'packaged' SWF file, as in the captivate, created from this FLV video. In Flash Proffessional, I've imported the FLV into the 'stage' and added a skin through the wizard. But trying to publish or other options, I've not been able to get this single 'packaged' SWF file to run correctly in the website, via the same apsx code as above.Am I missing a trick here? I would presume it would be fairly simple as I don't want to edit the video, more I want to embedded it with a skin in the one SWF file.
I have a built a mobile application using flash builder burrito and when i export the app from the builder the size of the apk file is say 1180KB,but when i try packaging the same application from the command line the size increases dramatically(to 2679KB).In both the cases if we see the size of swf file it is 2679KB only.So the builder is using some compression techniques to reduce the file size.Is there any options available in command line to do the same compression technique??.I have used the following command to package the swf file..
I don't know if the topic describes the problem correctly, but here's the situation:I created a folder structure so I could work with packages, which I named com/gamistry/someproject"Then I created several .as files. "EggLoader.as", "Main.as", "Egg.as"EggLoader is a class that shows a basic progress bar, and is also the Document class. It is defined as being in the package "com.gamistry.someproject". Once it's done loading the swf, it creates an instance of "Main" (not having imported anything), and passes its stage property as the only argument. This all works perfectly.
Then the Main class starts running, and attempts to create an instance of "Egg", not having imported anything just like the previous example. It attempts to pass the single argument (defined as floor:int in Egg's constructor), but for some reason I get a compilor error 1136 "Incorrect number of arguments. Expected 0."It furthermore seems to know of none of Egg's public functions. Has anybody come across something like this before? Perhaps I am misunderstanding the purpose of packages?I've tried importing com.gamistry.someproject.*, but to no effect. If I explicitly define the myEgg instance as a "com.gamistry.someproject.Egg", and then call the new operator as a "new com.gamistry.someproject.Egg( floor )", the error disappears, but the program still does not execute as expected. No instance is visibly created on the stage, as it was when I was working with the exact same code base from the root package.Here's code samples (I omitted a lot of irrelevant code):
I have a Flex application that builds and runs from Eclipse without any problems. I've created an Ant build based on the sample provided by Adobe and builds the application and packages it up into an AIR application. No errors occur during the build process and an AIR file is created.The problem is that when I install the AIR application and run it, there is no UI at all. The process is running because I can see it in Task Manager but I can't see the app window. I've commented out all of my initial code so just the first window should appear but still nothing.
I have tried to add a button a .fla and code it with a packaged class (Main.as).is it possible to use a button from the GUI and code it with a external imported packaged class?
I'm making a game with Flash CS5.5 and exporting it to a APK file (AIR for Android).The trouble is that the APK file is really just a ZIP file, so you can extract the content and inside there is my game as a regular SWF file. Anyone can upload this to any website and play the game there.
I don't want the SWF file to work unless opened like it should, inside the APK file through Android.Is there any way to know through ActionScript 3 code if the SWF file has been extracted from the APK file and has been opened as a normal SWF file?
I wrote a mobile application ( AIR ) which storing some strings into a SqlLite database.It is external database file, which shall reside in a sub folder of the main application folder.So far everything works flawless while debugging on the PC, but when i am exporting the application into .APK file the result package does not contain the database, neither the database folder.
I use XMLApllicationContext to load an XML file. I load my context and then add the config location to it. In this files I take care of creating an URL to connect to.So I made an eventlistner for my XMLApplicationContext with Event.COMPLETE so I know when he's done and he can connect. No I'm a little bit dummytesting and if the user has given a wrong host and port the URL will not exist. So there will never be an Event.COMPLETE action. For that I would love to know how I can solve this. Now I have this code:
I have a flash application(.swf format). I wanted to package the entire swf file and other content(related images, xml files) into a single file and access in a tablet. So basically i need to make it into a single .apk file to access in my tablet.
is it possible to set an audio file from the library or web as a ringtone on android??? Iv figured out how to make it download the file but its not as good as the application doing it for you!?
I am using webview control for displaying a flash .swf file in my application.when i run the app screen displaying whole white scrren. Here it is my code,
public class flash extends Activity { /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override[code].........
I'm working on an app to stream audio from shoutcast. The streaming goes well on my computer and when debugging it with an Android-configuration. But when I deploy it to an APK-file and run it on a Samsung Galaxy S, the streaming doesn't work.
My code for streaming the audio: var urlRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest("http://.../;"); var soundContext:SoundLoaderContext = new SoundLoaderContext(2000, true); soundChannel = new SoundChannel(); sound = new Sound(urlRequest, soundContext); soundChannel = sound.play();
I've also tried an addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE), it seems my app doesn't get there when running on a Samsung Galaxy.
I am building an Adobe Air Mobile application currently targeting Android (and eventually iOS). I'm using Flash Builder 4.6 (which is Flex).I have a requirement to download a zip file from a url, save it to local storage and unzip the contents.There seem to be a few example on how to do a download in Flex/Air, but not many in Flex/Air/Mobile. Additionally, the mix of examples seem to be all over the place with namespace versions, etc. Edit: What I've tried:So, from the examples on the web, the first thing I did was add namespace in Flex declarations: xmlns:net="flash.net.*" Then I added the following component: <net:URLLoader id="urlLoader" /> Then, in the button click event, I called it: urlLoader.load(new URLRequest(downloadUrl)); I get a run time error: Error #2044: Unhandled ioError:. text=Error #2032: Stream Error. URL: http://...
i have an AIR android app which i am running on an android device ( samsung TAB ). i want the app to get laid out in landscape mode when the user starts the app holding the device in landscape ( same goes with portrait ).
but the AIR app always gets started in portrait mode irrespective of the way the device is held.
i tried the following ways use stage.deviceorientation (but when the app starts (after the applicationComplete notification ) the value is UNKNOWN) use stage resize event. (this gets triggered at start itself, a manual resize is not required - the values are based on portrait mode though - the width is 600 and height is 1024 (should have been otherway) )
i get correct values when i try changing the orientation of device, only at the startup i see problem with the required values.
I have an as3 built osmf video player swf that we embed on a standard HTML page. When you touch the image the video automatically goes fullscreen and begins playing. Droid and Flash often break after changing back and forth between landscape and portrait while in fullscreen.(by break I mean freeze, where you can hear the video and use the controls, but everything is just a still frozen image, the redrawing fails).Can you lock the fullscreen orientation in html, javascript, or do you have to try to handle it inside the swf?
I working on a project where the client side need to capture video and audio from the camera, use some library (proberly ffmpeg) to convert from mp4 to flv and send it to flash server on realtime,in the other side the client need to get flv and convert it to video type of android on real time. Is it possible to do?
In a typical as3 or flex project, after loading xml file, i load jpg files (thumbnails etc) manually, so i can use them in sprites / movie clips etc..currently i am working on air mobile project. and i am attempting to load some thumnails(pg) file to list view (spark) and using custom item renderer.itemrenderer has an spark image componnt in it. and its data property is set to Image object.i can check that image files do exists in file application directory.do i need to load all those thumbnails in memory. then use them?
I am developing an application for android 3.0 tablet, that's supposed to play swf files inside a WebView.First I tried to open the swf file from the device, than through the internet, with no luck.The WebView shows up, but inside the WebView all I can see is a black screen (with a 3-4 px wide white line on the right).If I load the same URL to the device browser, the flash file plays well.I think Im missing something on the WebView setup, but after a few hours of searching and googling I still dont know what.The Java code:
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); requestWindowFeature(Window.FEA
I'm building a mobile AIR application that connects to my desktop AIR application. In the mobile application, I'm recording video with my Android device with flash.media.CameraUI. This works perfectly, but now I'd like to send this file to my desktop application so I can do stuff with it. I've got a server written in AS3 running on my desktop (the application itself) listening to AMF messages on a certain port. I can send data through sockets, I've already tested it with accelerometer data, so that's not the issue.
What would be the best way to send video to my desktop AIR app? I've tried multiple things already; serializing using registerClassAlias, ByteArrays.
I have an Adobe AIR application for Android. Using for this AIR 3.0 and Flash Builder 4.6. I need to make MyANEFile.ane - which must include 2 external .jar files: Flurry.jar + Tapjoy.jar. But when I made .ane file - it does not work. How can I add this 2 jar files to my main application jar file to make .ane file properly? It shows me such errors in dalvik:
I am porting my flash games on android. I have ported 3 successfully. But the problem with all of them is they are giving very low frame rate near about 7-8. And I have observed 1 thing that frame rate always varies. Sometimes it goes upto 45 and again in next frame it comes to 3-4 and again goes to 15-16.
I am quite confused. Please let me know if anyone is having any idea about this.
I am loading flash SWFs into an android WebView.I want the SWF to be instantly fullscreen and focused.The class name that handles flash is com.adobe.flashplayer.FlashPaintSurface .
Watching the log, when I fullscreen the flash manually, it calls com.adobe.flashplayer.FlashPaintSurface.toggleFullScreen()The first part of my question is, How can i call that method manually for my flash swf? Note that with a webview with a flash embedded, the only way i seem to be able to fullscreen it properly (to have flash's surfaceview fullscreen instead of the flash being displayed over top of the webview view) is by touching the screen with two fingers until an interface pops up at the top of the screen, and doesnt happen reliably.For focus, inside my webview class I call
@Override protected boolean drawChild (Canvas canvas, View child, long drawingTime) { if (child.getClass().getName().equals("com.adobe.flashplayer.FlashPaintSurface")) {
[code]...
This doesnt set the focus as I thought it would. Although i assume, if fullscreened properly, the flashpaintsurface should give itself focus. But if if the first part is not doable, i would wonder at least to not have to give focus to the SWF by clicking on it on startup.
I have loading the webview in my Activity. the Web content is having some flash content. when i try to finish the Activity. Its taking too much time. the screen goes to blank screen for little time and resuming to the app.
