I have an Adobe AIR application for Android. Using for this AIR 3.0 and Flash Builder 4.6. I need to make MyANEFile.ane - which must include 2 external .jar files: Flurry.jar + Tapjoy.jar. But when I made .ane file - it does not work. How can I add this 2 jar files to my main application jar file to make .ane file properly? It shows me such errors in dalvik:

I would like to develop applications for iPhone and Android devices. Which language it is better to use Java or Flash? I have read that Adobe Flash CSS 5.5 support compatibility for ActionScript on both devices. Will be interesting to know plus and minus sides for both languages? I want it to be my application at the tomcat/webapps/application directory when i write it hard-coded it failed (maybe bacause of permissions) but, i want it to be general (not hard-coded) so, what do i need to change in my java code in order to write files in my webapps directory? maybe it just an xml configuration?

View 1 RepliesI have two applications: a client in flex and a server in Java. When I deploying the application inside flex builder with the tomcat server inside as well, everything works fine. But now I'm trying to deploy in apache tomcat outside the flex/eclipse builder and I have a problem.I think the problem is with relative/absolute paths but I do not know how to resolve it.In my Java application I have to access a database and a get a file from it. I use a properties to set a path where I want to download that files like this:pacs.ruta=C:\resources\And then I need to access to that file so in use this code:fin = new FileInputStream(pacsRuta+""+f.getName());where f.getName() gives me the name of the file so I get the path of the file with the path I set in pacs.ruta and the files name.
I do not know why it does not work. I tried to put pacs.ruta=/resources/to associate with a folder in my application but It does not work.Could someone give me an advice? Do you think it is the problem? Because the whole application works fine deploying in a tomcat server outside the flex/eclipse builder but when this code is called the application does not work.

View 1 RepliesI gone thorough the adobe flash builder video tutorials and did the same thing to create an application for android device, but when i run the application it is showing Sorry dialog box saying that, The application Test1-debug(process air.Test1.debug) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. I tried many times but it is not working. Initially i thought no Adobe-AIR in my device, but it is there. I am using Reliance 3G Tab. I am trying to develop one simple application using Java, Flex and Blazeds. I am using Flash builder 4.5, blazeds 4 and JBoss 6.I have created 'Dynamic Web' application in Eclipse, added blazeds related file in WEB-INF/lib and in WEB-INF/flex folder. I have deployed this web application in JBoss using Eclipse, so this application is getting deployed in war file.Then I tried to create new 'Flex Project' using flash builder 4.5 and I am stuck in 2nd step where we have to configure Root Folder, Root URL and Context Root.As my java web application is deployed in war, there's no folder to which I can set Root Folder.

My requirement is display a list of files from an external FTP server in a grid, user can select single file or multiple files to download, and if user selects multiple files I should tar the files on the FTP server and download the tar file from FTP server to user disk. As per my understanding on the File Download in Flex we have 2 ways to do it. 1) File Reference 2) Using navigateURL and call server side JSP/Servlets to download files.
1) For FileReference we need to download the data first and prompt the user to save the file by clicking on some button. We cannot prompt the 'Save' dialogue without the click event for Security reasons in Flex (Workaround). But my client hates this process because its two steps and he want it in one step like normal file download with only 'Save' dialogue. Then I tried the second option.
2) navigateURL. Open a new windows make a post url request for to JSP/Servlets and prompt the 'Save' dialogue. The problem I am facing here is the pop-up window does not close once the download is complete. navigateURL does not return any reference to the window to close the window. I even tried different content types and headers and java script but none seems to work. The window closes when it is a single file and not for the tar or zip file. I would like to download the popup window for any type of downloads. I am using IE7.

For the HTML file, I'm using swfObject. The problem is that I can open up the SWF file just fine from third party apps like SWF Player from the market. In addition, I can load up the HTML page from the browser by calling it directly through file:///. However, when I load it up using my webview, I'm stuck with a blank screen.

I'm still relatively new to Java and Android development, so I'm still unfamiliar with the multitudes of libraries available for use, particularly for animation. Where I'm from (the Flash world), we have access to several 3rd-party tweening engines that make life very easy for us when we want to programmatically move things around the stage without relying on the (vastly inferior) built-in Adobe tween APIs. One of the most popular is Greensock's TweenMax
Looking at the way Android handles tweening natively, it appears to be very cumbersome compared to what I'm used to. I'm curious if there's a TweenMax-equivalent library out there for Android that makes animation sequencing equally easy to write in-code, with the benefits of smart intellisense, rather than having to write them all out in an external animation.xml file in the res folder.
