Android :: Flash - Back Button Unloads Application After Changes CurrentState Of Application AIR?
Sep 20, 2011
I am creating an application. At one view I have three states. If I changes state and than back button pressed it unloads the application.I am developing it in Adobe AIR.
I want to load a flex application in mobile flex application and also i want it to interact with the parent application. Right now I am trying to load the swf with swfLoader in mobile app, but it gives me security error. And also should I want the parent application to be generic in terms of child application as in down the line if someone wants he can have another child application with same name run.
I'm trying to develop a simple mxml Flex application to start Skype from the AIR/Flashplayer runtime. Is it possible to get back events from a native Windows application? In the simple example of Skype, the OS returns control to the Flex app when Skype exits. But what about native applications which have their own event model and wants to communicate with the Flex event model. For example, a Face detection system which shows "Hello" on a Flex app when the camera detects a face. Can this be done in the current Flex framework?
I gone thorough the adobe flash builder video tutorials and did the same thing to create an application for android device, but when i run the application it is showing Sorry dialog box saying that, The application Test1-debug(process air.Test1.debug) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. I tried many times but it is not working. Initially i thought no Adobe-AIR in my device, but it is there. I am using Reliance 3G Tab. I don't why it is not working, if anybody know this please reply me.
One more thing, i downloaded one APK (which is designed with adobe flash or flex) file from [URL]..and installed on my android device. When i run that application only blank screen is appearing, but in video they shown, it is working. Why it is happening like this?? Is any problem with my tablet ?? or application ?? or adobe AIR not installed properly on device ?? Like this i am getting too many doubts.
I need a back button functionality in my Desktop application in flash, in my app there is lots of page including home page, I am able to go back at one level but how can I do this at number of level, What logic I should implement to maintain the back page at number of level.
I have a flash application(.swf format). I wanted to package the entire swf file and other content(related images, xml files) into a single file and access in a tablet. So basically i need to make it into a single .apk file to access in my tablet.
I want to create very simple application with 2 view:
-> list with some tags -> single view with movie
every tag is connected to a flash movie. The movie will be on my own server in web. I want to play in my app this movie with a some player. But not via web browser but inside my application. is that possible ? What do I need to do to achive that ? I mean how to play the movie. Building list etc is easy
We know that, with Android NDK we can use .C files along with .java files in a single android application. Similarly, is it possible to use Adobe Flash and Java files in a single android application ?
basically, what am doing is that am running a flash file (playing music) in the background of the app using webview, and when I want to stop the music , I just load "about:blank".I want to keep the flash file running (music) when my app gets paused (which works fine so far) the problem is when the app resumes, pressing on pause button launches a new webview instead of changing the link in the previous one and the sound doesn't stop.the only solution I found was to kill the process and restart the app, but that's not practical, any idea of how to still be able to use the same webview when resuming the app ?
Update: guess I wasn't clear enough, I have a webview widget stated as "gone" , I only need the audio form the flash file I'm running in the webview so the "play" button loads a URL that contains the flash file (so the user only hears music, and doesn't notice that I'm using a webview), when I press the back/home button the music doesn't stop (I like it that way) but when I go back and press on play again it loads another url in a new page, you get double music
I have an enterprise Flex web application, served up over https, that runs fine on Flash player 10.0 and beyond on a desktop computer/browser.
However, when I run it from my HTC Incredible with Android 2.2 the app loads fine, but there is no on-screen keyboard and so I cannot log in. I can see the blinking cursor inside the username and password text fields. I can switch between them. I can even hit the login button and see an authentication error!
I am currently developing a mobile application using the latest version of Flash Builder and I need to create a Global ArrayCollection to store information in that is pulled from a local DB. I can pull back the data from the DB fine however I cannot seem to access the Global variable when I try. I have the follng .as file called "Model.as" which is located in a folder called valueObjects and that file contains the following code:
I have developed a small adobe flash application (a parent .exe file which loads several child swf files). I can play it in almost any computer. My question is: Can I install and run the application in Aakash or Ubislate 7+ ?
Is there any article/tutorial which explains how to create android application using Flash CS5. I have seen the video on but none of them explains in details how to setup the entire thing to create android apps.
I am using Flash profassional cs5 and want to create an iPad application but it only allow to make iphone application. It allows to install on iPad but the resolution is very small.
I have made one one mobile application in flash builder using flex mobile project I have a question that "why size of an .ipa file is large as I export a mobile application as iOS application.???? in compare to that same application for android takes small size!
I have an AIR app that gets bundled with XML files that the app needs. These get put into the APP Storage Directory, of course. Works great. But when I install a new version ( which includes new XML files) , the new files don't get added or overwrite the ones from the previous version. It seems that if that directory is there from a previous install, the installer will ignore the part where it moves included files.
I want adobe sockets to send "customized" class object to a server socket(WinSock2). I used socket.writeObject(myClassObj). Actually My flash application and windows application works for string buffer but not for object.
Code: //Flash var buffer:String = "God Bless Us"; socket.writeUTFBytes(buffer);
Currently i'm developing a facebooks apps with falsh application. i've have completed the development with all API required to run a facebook apps. Everything went well and it's live now. My question :
1. How can make user to go directly to the application page everytime they click the link posted by user who already use the application instead going to the canvas page applications. i'm been trying to look for the article that support saying that user will go directly to application directly to canvas application page instead of going to the application page.
I need to make my Flash application create a connection to a remote application and have the remote application send periodic updates to my Flash animation. The remote app is written in VB 6, and does not support XML sockets. However, I don't need the ability to send or receive XML since I am going to be overriding the onLoad() event anyway.
Or maybe I do need that ability... I'm having trouble getting my onLoad() event to trigger. Right now I'm just testing the onLoad event like this:
[code]...
So, basically I'm trying to find out how I can format the data I'm sending it so that the onLoad() event triggers. I've read that the XMLSocket object listens for the Null byte, so perhaps the data I'm sending it doesn't terminate properly. I need a persistent connection from Flash to the VB app because the VB app will be the one initiating the updates to the Flash application. Is the XMLSocket the way to go here, or is there another class of objects that I'm missing?
We have an AIR application which is running in client-server mode as a desktop application. Our application runs on AIR version-1.5;Flex version 3.5. We want this application to be ported to android. Will AIR 1.5 work with Android? if not which version of AIR should be used with Android? And also, Can I configure my Flex Builder to partucular version of AIR SDK? I am getting confused with AIR 2.0, 2.5 and recently released flex Hero SDK for mobile platforms.
I have an Android AIR application (developed with Flex SDK 4.5.1) for which I need to block the Home Button, as the app is used by patients in a hospital without supervision, i.e. it is crucial that they cannot leave the app.
It seems that the only way to hijack the Home Button is to be registered as the default launcher, so that your own app gets the focus when home is pressed. This is easily achieved in the manifest, such as:
Is there any application which can relay another application on Flash Media server? For exmaple I have a "live" application on the server. I want another application, "liverelay" which can basically relay what is coming on the "live" application. Is it possible? If so how can I implement it? Looking forward to a response.
I'm trying to connect a AS2(swf on Flash player using Flash CS4) and AS3(swf on AIR using Flash Builder 4), but I get an error when I send a command from the AIR app:
Do you know is it possible to start iPad application from another application that is developed in Flash? I need to create small iPad app with two buttons (and some graphics/animation) in Flash. Clicking on those buttons, another iPad application should be started. My guess is that will use ExternallInterface, but I don't know what to send :)
I'm building an Air for Android App and I'm having problems loading a flex module. Does anyone know if loading modules is possible???
I built a simple app with just a ModuleLoader in it, which loads a mx:module. The module has only a simple mx:Label with a "Hello World" text.I build a .air with this. Then I build a .apk with the followin adt command.
I would like to develop applications for iPhone and Android devices. Which language it is better to use Java or Flash? I have read that Adobe Flash CSS 5.5 support compatibility for ActionScript on both devices. Will be interesting to know plus and minus sides for both languages? Remember that we have to develop application for both devices, and we have a small part of that application already written in Java.
Did anyone integrated Amobee SDK into Android application on ActionScript or Java?I have AmobeeTracking.jar file, I have to write native extention to integrate Amobee SDK into Adobe AIR application for Android. But I don't know what to really write.
