Actionscript :: Sothink SWF Decompiler Using Null In Strange Places
Jun 25, 2011
I've been attempting to figure out the background math in a Flash game by using the Sothink SWF Decompiler to view the ActionScript files. Admittedly I know very little about ActionScript, but I'm seeing lines of code that look like:
[Code]....
From where I stand, value <= null doesn't make much sense, and neither does null * true or null & null. Am I just not understanding ActionScript properly, or is this an error in the decompiling process? If it's an error, is there any way to solve it?
I have developed some program in flash (as 2.0 class based). I want nobody can copy my codes. I have checked it in few famous decompilers and i found nothing is hidden. One can easily copy it. Is there any way to hide them in flash 8.0
i want to ask question about swf protector against swf decompiler.i saw so many protector using obfuscator,encryption like that..i want to use FMS (flash media server) that will invoke callback function..i'm afraid using encryption,will not detect the name of the functionmy question is :is there any other solution except using obfuscator to handle decompiler?
I'm trying to get a working .fla file of the .swf at the bottom of this page... [URL] I tried the free version of SoThink's decompiler, but all I got was a black box with lots of layers. I'm using Flash CS3.
I needed to translate a SWF file, and used Sothink SWF Quicker to decompile the swf file.Now I want to re-compile it, with the changes made. How can I do that?When I try to "Publish" or "Export" the file with the same program, the new file is only with about 250 bytes, and the previous one had about 450 KB.
I am looking for a code or method to stop a SWF decompiler from taking my work. Is there anything I can do to protect my files from a decompiler? I searched but could not find any info on how to protect my SWF.
I am creating a Flex 4 project and would like to do an actionscript based login with encryption, but I obviously don't want it to be easily decompiled.If I dynamically link to a swf file that is in a "non-browse" directory, would a decompiler of the base application actionscript file also give the code of the linked file? For example
I have begun on a list: My reference is null!Stage is null! Convert this code from as 2 to as 3 for me! Crossdomain policies are in the way of my cool idea Dynamic property names I need to use stuff on the parent! I don't want my children to scale when I scale the parent! Classes vs instances. Mod note: I do not want this topic pinned, we will use a fresh topic once we have agreed to the content.
the script i wrote is working fine. but the script attached to the flash player which i have no control over is throwing a script error (im using IE8).how can i fix this? if i run it locally there is no error.
I have create a menu but when clicking on menu so that it shows, I get an error on the line because of the line "myMenu.show(null,null)". See function below:
private function createAndShowmyMenu():void { myMenu = Menu.createMenu(null, myMenuDataProvider, false); myMenu.labelField="@label"[code]........
I came across that website to see some products news, then I find there was a nice flash tool. You know that decompiler can edit swf files to fla files. But this tool which I want to introduce to you can edit swf to swf perfectly, amazing right? Plz check it here:URL...
sometimes I remove child and trace it afterwards and it outputs null although I havent yet set it to null, why is that? and do I need to set it to null also in that case?
When I'm working on the .fla I don't see anything unexpected, but when I view the .swf or export it there's a little red square in the animation. It moves with some of the stuff I have moving in the animation like they're attached somehow, but I can't find it in the fla to get rid of it.
i've created a movieclip that i'm applying a simple blur filter to and in Flash when i play the timeline it runs with no problems although when i publish the movie the blur doesn't display - i've run out of ideas about why this could be! I've looked online and can't find any suggestions either - does anyone know what i'm doing wrong?
i really like this effect and i was wondering if anybody could point me to a tutorial that does something similar to this: i deleted the link because the site is not working anymore
You click on tv, then on the first thumbnail and the video starts playing.When you resize the browser window the video stays centered.Thats exactly how I want it to You can see the same example as before, but this time there are playbackcontrols which would be perfect if it wasnt for the fact that if you now resize thbrowser window, the video jumps almost its own width to the left.
I have a website. You can see that website both by typing in(not REALLY my website...I'm just using examples here)This website has a flash intro that at the very end enables the user to either choose to go to the html version of my site or the flash version, each option represented by a button.The strange thing is that if I'm on theURL of my site, everything works ok there. However, if I'm on the version with the "www" added into the URL, those buttons don't work. You still get the little "finger" indicator, but when you press, nothing happens.
I'm working on a large AIR-app. When I run the project from Flash CS4, everything works fine. But when I run the installed app, some buttons will react very slow.
I'm just now learning how to use code more efficiently and i now there is a better way to reuse some of the code i'm using. For instance, how do i make this code into a reusable object(i guess with some parameters).
I have the following piece of code(part of a much bigger program). I this code I am re-using a motion that has been previously used successfully. The trace stmts are used to identify the exact location of the error and the error conditions as best I can.[code]
When you cast null to an object using Object(null), the result is an object.When you cast undefined to an object using Object(undefined), the result is an object.But saying null as Object or undefined as Object remains null.Why is this? I can't find anything in the documentation about this.
The objects that result from these casts can have properties set on and read from them. It's as if the cast created information, or removed whatever special information the null and undefined values have. But there's no indication in the AS3 documentation that the null and undefined special types are actually objects.
I created a movie clip that i want to act as a button. Inside that movie clip i place 2 graphic symbols (in different layers) that each have a tween of 30 frames. In a different layer i put a stop(); at frames 1 and 30. Then i create a fourth layer writing the following code for all 30 frames:
Code: var rewind:Timer = new Timer(10); var rootButton:MovieClip = MovieClip(parent); rootButton.RR_mc.buttonMode = true; rewind.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER, rewindHandler);
[Code]...
1. On mouse over the movie clip (RR_mc) start playing normaly untill frame 30 where stops.
2. On mouse out the movie clip starts rewind going frames backwards. Now if i put my mouse over the movie clip, before rewind reach frame 1 the rewind stops and the movie start playing again. 2b. If the movie clip reach frame 1 after rewind, then is not stopping and continues to give frame 1 (if you put a trace(this.currentFrame(); you get infinite 1s). On mouse over the movie clip afterwards i can see that trying to start play but it's progress is max 2-3 frames before the rewind routine pull it back at frame 1.
3. If i transfer the timer and it's function to the parent directory then everything work fine.
I want to write all the code for the button inside the child directory of that button, is it possible?
