I'm getting this error when I try to load the WSDL for my Asp.Net WebService.
[Code]....
I've done a ton of googling and found several possible solutions but it does not appear to be any of them. I'll go through what I've tried. I can open the link in a browser IE and FF. There's no user signed certificate required My crossdomain is setup correctly Here's the really interesting part, it works if I compile and run with Flex SDK 3.2 but I was trying to integrate AIR 2.5 for some features that are required and so I updated to Flex 3.5 w/ AIR 2.5 on top. If I build with this SDK it does not work. I've used an HTTP traffic montior(Fiddler) to looked at the requests and noticed that with the 3.5 SDK it does not ever send out the request. So it must be something in the flex side, because it's obviously never getting to my service.
we have an internal webservice developed in our company and i have connected that web service using flex and am able to get all the methods/operations from that service. but wen i try to get data from methods i get the following error msg while running the applicationSecurity error accessing urlUnable to load WSDL. If currently online, verify the URI and/or format of the WSDL (http://ispl30:8080/MGEMWS/MGEMWS?wsdl)am not able to figure out what the problem is?
i am trying to add a web service in flex 4. This web service is deployed in share point 2010 in the intranet . I am able to see this wsdl file through browser but trying to introspect the service is giving an authentication error. I am getting the following error :-
There was an error during service introspection.
WSDLException: faultCode=OTHER_ERROR: Unable to resolve imported document at 'http://sql2008:47672/_vti_bin/StoryboardingDatabaseConnect.asmx?WSDL'.: java.io.IOException: Authentication failure
I work with Flash Pro allmost 11 hours per day and every while i get a error which messes up everything. Approximetly i get this after about 2-3 hours withevery project.After i get this error there is no chance to test movies afterwards.I see a fast flash of the loader window but it dissapears so fast i cant even really see if it is loader.
I have a site that plays either .mp3 or .flv files depending on what is selected from the menu. Menu loads in from xml. I get "unable to make connection with server or unable to find flv on server" when I try to play the video. But the video and audio files are all in the same directory and the mp3 files play fine. I think I'm having a problem with the setMedia command. Here's the code that loads the video and audio files.
I dont know much about Parsing XML with AS2. "Game can now be started", "In loadXML function" is traced. Unfortunately, "failed to load" is traced too. I put my cards.xml file in the same file as my main.asc.[code]...
I have a series of projects that we have been using Flex3/Flashbuilder to work with, but I've recently been trying to move over to Flashdevelop for most of my development but I have hit a snag with a certain project structure that Flex/FB can handle but FD/mxmlc can't with sdk 3.*What I have is something like this:
project_root/ /src /resources
The resources in flex is added as a class path to the project and I am embedding images like this: [Embed(source="/wardrobe.png")]
This all works fine in Flex/FB but FD I get there errors for all my images :
Error:unable to resolve '/wardrobe.png' for transcoding Error:unable to transcode /wardrobe.png
This problem don't occur when I'm using the Flex 4 sdk, but for these projects I require 3.2.
Im having some trouble here. I have an URLLoader which loads some XML file. However, I want my application working without the xml file also, so I added an event listener for IOError which is to call a "noxml()" function of mine. However... this is working perfectly fine when I test the movie, but when I open it from a browser and on a server ... just nothing happens. I tried putting a listener for securityerror and for just "error"..
Flex Builder 3 provides support to generate actionscipt from WSDL via the GUI ( Data->Import Web Service (WSDL) ) - but this sort of method requires that you check in the generated source. This is not desirable to us (we understand both sides of the 'should generated source be checked in' and we have decided that they should not) so we would like a method to generate the actionscript classes from an ant task. In this case, the WSDL would live in the file system.
As part of a nightly build i want to automate the generation of action script classes like Flex does but in an automated fashion. So I'm looking for an equivalent tool to flex builder 3's Import Web Service functionality, but accesable to a Hudson nightly build using ant.
i tried for many times but i can't seem to load the php data into my flash document. I check that the link to the php file is correct and the code for loading does not seem to be wrong
I got a buggy warning from my flash cs4 project, saying at the compiler errors; warning : unable to load SWC fls ther's no reference to the line/place having this error in location area of compiler errors!! i didn't kow how i got there cause it was working smooth befor this error! strange also,
and since, we are at the new year, you know, ther's the best film of the year, the best site of the year.. why not make a "the strangiest undocumented error of the year!".. anyway, if ther's such a competition, I vote for this error!
I'm trying to simply have a flash file that acts as a preloader by loading in a separate swf to it. To my understanding it should be simple and the following should work.[code]...
I have an actionscript 3 project in FB importing flash.display.Sprite; and com.companyName.MyCustomClass; I've set up the project properties pointing FB at the com folder which is in projectRoot/src/com.[code]
I have made up a snakes and ladders drag and drop board to use with interactive whiteboard in my class. It is only 2 frames, one with the intro and the other with the board. The squares with snakes or ladders are movieclips (target1, target2 etc). The contestant images are movieclips. Which drag and drop, when they hit the target they move. It was working fine, but now every time I test it I get the following error message. I don't know how to solve it as I have looked everywhere.
Scene=Scene 1, Layer=Layer 1, Frame=2: Line 1: Statement must appear within on/onClipEvent handler stop();
I'll try to attach the fla but last time it didn't work, so I'll give some of the code below. On the 2nd Frame I have stop();

I have a flex app that loads a WSDL at runtime and shares that across several different web services I have defined. Unfortunately each call to loadWSDL() makes a network request for it, and while it's not really a problem due to caching it's still annoying and wasteful to have all those requests generated. Is there a simpler way to solve this problem and only make one network request?[code]
I start the service in Actionscript with:[code]My issue is that the server that my WSDL is on, seems to be very slow, and the WSDL file is very large. So it takes around 5 seconds to initially grab the WSDL file. This wouldn't be too bad, but for what I am doing I need to create about 5 or more WebService objects all using the same WSDL (this is a must). It seems pointless to download the WSDL for each new object when I know it is the same.What I am wanting is a way to maybe cache the WSDL locally, or in flash(maybe as an XML object), then apply it to a new WebService object. Or even if someone could tell me how to access the data inside the WebService Object and apply it to a new one.
I have tried a few ideas. I tried using a "clone object" script to clone the WebService object once the original has loaded the WSDL. But it crashed flash because the loop is too big.Is this a case to use a "prototype"? I'm not too sure what it even is. Would it be useful in this situation?
I have a flash file which loads a movie clip on the click of a menu item.Now I am trying to add some dynamic data (xml) within this movie clip - In short I do have a dynamic tet box, and can access it as follows:
_level0.pages1.page.forumText.text
The problem is how and where do I load my XML. This is my code to load the xml data I tried to add it in the Frame for the movie clip and it came back with the following error :
**Error** Symbol=pages1, layer=Layer 3, frame=3:Line 21: Statement must appear within on/onClipEvent handler headlineXML.load("FlashFile.xml");
I have a movie clip with a background image and also I have another movie clip that load the first movie clip with a Loader, but in the second movie clip, do not see the image of the first movie clip.
im trying to load an external swf into my project the code is simply this:
var loader:Loader = new Loader; loader.load(new URLRequest("gallery.swf");
I get an error that says the following when i debug it.
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.. at gallery_fla::MainTimeline/frame1()Cannot display source code at this location
I have done this same thing before but never gotten this error message, i even tried to load an old swf file and it worked fine.
I have an issue with a Flash applet that I've written; it's an MP3 player that is supposed to load an MP3 file from a web address.
When I run the SWF on my local computer, it works like a charm. However, when I put it on a webpage, it does not load the MP3 file. (I guess that's what I get for not testing it that way beforehand.) I've double-checked permissions and it seems that everything is as it should be.
I know that AS3 has some cross-domain policies, but I'm loading the MP3 file from the same domain. I understand that Flash has sandbox properties, but I would expect that a file in the same domain shouldn't be a problem. I've heard of people having problems with SWFs before, but not regular media files.
If possible, I'd like find a solution that doesn't require rewriting the code, as I have a release version of the SWF on my site currently. (Rewriting won't be a problem, but I have to wait until the end of the day to do it, and the SWF is on display now.)
Edit: I had three friends test this, and it worked for them. However, it still didn't work for me. I'm at home now, and I'm testing - my applet loads an MP3 in Firefox, but not in Chrome. (Oddly, the friends who tested were using Chrome, which loaded it with no issues.) At work, my applet would not load an MP3 in Chrome or Firefox.
The issue is that the progress reaches 100% but the other file never shows. I also know the progress check is redundant and that the complete event should do the same, but that was one of my attempts at debugging.
The code I gave is a chop-up of the hours-load of tutorials I have been reading, and is just meant to be a test file for me to work with loading external flash files.
My gallery is set up to load from an XML file and it works great. My problem is that the program only loads the first gallery. I can load either gallery 1 or gallery 2, but when I try to switch galleries, the current gallery vanishes and nothing reappears. according to the trace function, the thumbnails are being generated again, but nothing is showing up again.
I think it may be the container_mc that needs to be removed and re-declared but nothing seems to work. I've I've had to remove a bit of code related to background graphics to meet the max length req of the forums but otherwise it is all there. apologies for the messy code:
I have create a 360 mouse control panorama view in swf format. I decided to load my swf into a container called "loader" to hold the movie's size and location so that it wont appear on my buttons but it failed. I hav try the same way to load other swf but it works.[code]...
I have a main movie that loads different .swf files into the main movie. The problem is that I update my site once a month and because of that I have experienced some cache problems. If I change a movie called "x.swf" with a different movie also called "x.swf" the internet explorer will automaticly look for a file called "x.swf" in the cache, and if the website has been loaded once, the next time that it's loaded you wont be able to load the new "x.swf" - same filename, different content.When you load a movie, variables, or a text, what you load is put in the cache of your computer by your browser. This can cause problems because if you load files, chances are that you are going to update them quite often, but Flash will look for the files in the cache, that is to say the old ones.
myIdentifier=Math.round(Math.random()*10000); loadMovie("myAnim.swf?uniq="+myIdentifier,1); This works also with LoadVariables, LoadMovieNum and LoadVariablesNum.
I'm having problems setting up Ant to use with Flex.I install it fine but I get this error when I try and check the install: Unable to locate tools.jar.From what I've read, I just need to point JAVA_HOME to the directory that contains the jdk. Unfortunately,I'm not sure I know which jre I'm using in Eclipse and also, I do a search for tools.jar on my machine and it's not there???I have a C:Program FilesJava directory and there is this in there:
j2re1.4.2_05 jdk1.6.0_03 jre1.6.0.23
In Eclipse --> Windows --> Preferences --Java --> Installed JREs, it's pointing to here:
