Can't Find The Correct Flash Player?
Jul 4, 2011I got a 7" netbook running WIN CE 6.0 and can't find the correct Flash Player.Every time I seem to find one and intall I get a "Not a WIN CE" app Where can I get a player for this book?

Mar 13, 2009I was re-using some old actionscript in a new fla. For some reason my scrollbar script didn't work correctly. After some debugging I found out the the maxscroll value was being returned as 2. Strange when there is only two lines of text in a 400px high textfield.
I published the same fla for flash player 7 in stead of 9 and the problem was gone??? Tried in 8 and there it was again. So something went wrong between Flash player 7 and 8, but what? Is this a known bug and are there any work arounds?

Oct 12, 2009I'm working on my website which is a portfolio site, to showcase my work I have a basic XML image gallery which does 1 of 3 things loads a large photo, goes to a frame with a video player, or goes to another frame with a gallery of web design or flash work i've done. when a thumb is clicked i trace the indexOf(event.target) of the thumbnail clicked (all thumbnails are placed into an array).
the problem is that for some reason randomly the index will not be found and return -1, but then other times it will find the correct index and work properly. i don't know what the inconstancy is thats causing this to occur

However, there is some flaw I can't find in the script and if I try to enter anything in the box, it is changed to "orangemarmalade" (see below) and only enters there (acting as if I typed "orangemarmalade" every time).

Dec 30, 2009I'm trying to get the depths of all the blocks to be at the correct levels at the correct times so that the 3d effect is maintained. I've tried many things, but have had little success. All the instances of the blocks are stored in an array, but since it's adding them in accordance with when they're added to the stage, it doesn't help me locate them to swap depths. Is there a way to arrange them by location on the board?

Media Server :: RTMFP Protrocol In Flash Player 10.x Is Not Compatible With Flash Player 11.x
Feb 11, 2012I have a swc plugin embedded in my product to stream live video to a group of recipients.The plugin uses the NetStream, NetGroup and NetConnection objects, the server I use to handle the RTMFP session is Influxis.One client creates a group as a publisher, and stream a live video.His Camera is enabled and I can see the video on the screen as well. The others connect to his group and play the video.Peer assisted Networking is enabled for both the publisher and the recipients.The plugin worked well in all 10.x versions (10.1/10.2/10.3)However, when upgrading to flash player 11.x, it stopped working.
-11.x to 11.x isn't working.
-10.x with 11.x isn't working.
-only 10.x to 10.x is working.
The server I use to handle the RTMFP protocol is Influxis.com I sent them the same question as well.The weirdest fact is that I'm using flash builder 4.6 with 4.6 sdk, which is aimed for flash player 11.1, and it is only working with 10.x flash players.

Dec 9, 2011I'm having a performance problem that seem to be related to Flash Player 11.I noticed this mainly because Chrome auto-updates the flash player. So, it's now up to 11 in Chrome. During a sliding section transition, the flash player chokes and skips about 10-20 frames. In essence the content jumps, not a smooth transitions. You can see this at the following url. Using a browser with 10, plays as intended, a separate browser with 11, chokes and jumps ahead.
firstworldproblems-[url].....I have security sensitive site, that is more elaborate that I can't share here. But, the same issue is happening above.I'm using LoaderMax to load assets. Adding it to the stage and then animating them in from the left or right of the stage, using Tweenmax. The one I can't show is a series of images, 1280x640 pixels, 10 in total.Removing items from the stage when they are not visible, so I can get the CPU usage back. On Flash Player 10, this is working as intended.On 11 it jumps. I don't think it's the removing assets from the stage that's choking the player, because the above link has the same issue.I feel like this is a Flash Player 11 performance issue.

Nov 1, 2009This is weird because I cannot see how a browser can have any affect on a SWF file animation. This SWF contains masking of images. The SWF appears perfectly in Safari, and for some strange reason, one of the three masks is not applied when viewing the SWF in IE (as if the image is 'released').

I feel I'm missing something or am looking at dated/incomplete material (or am a complete idiot). Where is the correct/best documentation?

Oct 21, 2004I have an interactive assignment in which the students have to enter text entries into an input box. I have it working to where when the enter the correct answer it will tell them, or if it's wrong. I need to be able to tell them when they get to the last question, after they have gotten all of them correct, that they got all the questions correct. I know how to do this with a drag and drag interaction but not text entry. can someone point me in the right direction?

I've got two commands which each work on their own in my mp3 player
channel = snd.play(pausePosition); starts the song from wherever it's paused
channel = snd.play(0, 1, sTransform); starts the song at the volume set by the volume knob.
How do I put both the pausePosition and sTransform bits on to the same snd.play command??

Mar 12, 2012I have been given the task of updating my company's website, which is written in ASP and has a menu in Flash. I am not experienced in neither technology so maybe you can help me a little bit.We have a menu in flash and just received a new one from an artist. They are pretty similar but the new one brings some new buttons. So far what I did was simply change the .fla and .swf files from my web project to the new ones. The new menu is working, but the buttons and links are messed up. For example, our website main page is called Default.aspx. In the old menu, when you clicked in 'Home' it would take you to Default.aspx. In the new one though, it tries to take you to 'index.aspx', which doesn't exist. This makes me think that the mapping of the links in the menu is something that is part of the Flash code. Am I right about this?
Now, if I am right and I need to modify the flash files to create the correct links, how the heck do I do that? Notepad++ doesn't read the .fla well. What is the best free tool that will allow me to modify a file and compile it into a .swf? I know Adobe Flash would work, but we don't want to pay anything.

Jul 29, 2006I'm bringing in production art into Flash, and it's shifting getting lighter. I've read all about the issue, how it's
photoshop's color profiles, etc. Problem is, converting the images to working RGB isn't helping. I've tried converting them (originally they were in Adobe 1998 RGB) , creating a new document with the correct profile, but nothing works. I'm saving them out as PNG files. They look great in a browser even. Just washed out in Flash. Anything else I can try?

Dec 11, 2009I'm working on writing a tweening class in as2 that has a callback variable and I can't seem to find a good way to get the scope without specifically passing in a scope variable as well. This tweening class needs to work in classes as well as on the timeline. Here's what my codes looks like right now.params.scope[ params.onComplete ]( params.onCompleteParams );params is an object passed into the class. This works but I don't want to have params.scope in there.
