Creating Input Text Shortcuts?
Jan 29, 2012is there a way to create text shortcuts for input text?
ie
is it possible to create a hot key in a input text swf
eg, when I hit cntrl + 3 the swf file generates the word " Sarah says:"

Sep 17, 2009I'm creating a quiz application using Flash CS3, but it's been such a long time since I've used ActionScript and I'm a little bit stuck.I've created an input text box in the first frame of my quiz program. A person will enter their name into this text box (which I've called "nameInput") and then click the next button to proceed through the quiz.However, when I get to the results page I cannot figure out how to get the input name to be displayed automatically in the dynamic text box (which is called "nameOutput") when the user enters the frame.

Feb 3, 2011I have an issue with font scaling of a dynamic text box.
Currently i have one input box named input_1 with a variable attached to it named "choc_1".
Also, i have a dynamic text box named dynamic_1 with variable "choc_1".
When the user types something on the input box then the dynamic box changes instantly and displays what the user has written.
auto scale-size the fonts to a smaller size if the user types many letters.
The input_1 box has a 13 character limit. My initial font size is 200, i want to scale down so when the user types 10 letters they fit the box and they don't go out of screen. I want to use one line, so wrap or multiline is not possible.

Apr 28, 2011the last of many problems, is that at the very end of the test, you're shown your score, and you have the option to type your name in a text box and click "save". Doing so will apply you score data (time elapsed, date, correct answers and percentage) along with the name you typed in, and output in a form, that you can save or print off, or whatever. The problem is, the input text box will not let you type in it. If you mouse over it, the mouse stays a pointer, you don't get the text tool. If you click on it, the cursor appears for a split second after you release the mouse button, but you cannot type anything in it.This is the actionscript for the output form:

but the cursor not set to initial position in text box it consider "" as "space" and cursor will display after one space only, i need that cursor again move to starting position..

I need the ability to click the Bold button and it bolds or unbolds at the cursor so if I hit the bold button what I type from that point on will be bold until I hit the button again and then it goes back to regular. I am able to change it to bold or unbold by selecting the text and clicking the button but I also need to do it without selecting.

They would like to have a sample creator (product configurator) on the site so customers can get an idea what their ordered garments are going to look like. I have it all working except for one needed feature.The customer has requested that the creator have an input box where the customer can type their team name and have it appear on the drawn garment. They also need to be able to decide whether they want the name to appear in one of several various shapes. Similar to the Nike team builder am having a great deal of difficulty figuring out how to shape text in actionscript. Jun 9, 2010My question is how possible creating streamable audio files /mp3/flv/ from multiple input files. The server is vps linux without soundcard, installed flash media server 3.5. My task is creating mixed mp3 output file.The input files are 2 mp3 file = 2 channel, uploaded to a server by the user.Controls: volume pitch, equalizer, fading that is controlled from client side flash appThe problem it should be in real time, when the user control the volume pitcher channels etc could be heard the result in the client's flash player on client side.For that purpose I tried to split the audio files into 1 sec pieces, and changing the splits only, and when done joining them together.
Feeding them to flash media server there was more problem:-the server streamed not the actual file but probably from cache -the streaming was always stopped after 1-2 seconds - using client side dynamic streaming /without joining the files / only the last file was played - using server side playlist playing more files was not played all the files So the question which way possible creating streamable files, or is there a better solution than splitting them.
ActionScript 2.0 :: Pause A SWF Shortcuts?
Apr 27, 2009I have made an animation and a pause/play button within it using [code]...
However, as there are lots of movie clips in my animation, the pause button doesn't pause these or the music. Does anyone know of any software you can download that has prebuilt movie controllers for SWF movies that would let the user pause/play/mute it. Or if anyone can advise me if there is a relatively simple way I can tell the animation to stop playing all movies and sound when the pause button is pressed.
Keyboard Shortcuts Not Working?

The default Flash shortcuts just don't work anymore.Before anyone asks, yes, I have made sure the "Disable keyboard shortcuts" option is turned off. I'm running Flash CS4 on a Windows XP pro machine.

May 13, 2009I'm teaching a class for Flash CS3 on the Mac to about 24 students. I've been using Flash in Windows for a long time, but it's been awhile since I worked on a Mac.Our classroom has about 24 iMacs running the latest OS X (not sure exactly which version). Several Flash keyboard shortcuts don't work -- shortcuts that I use a lot, like F8 to convert to symbol.I was able to successfully disable the goofy Mac search feature that takes over another common Adobe shortcut that I use a lot (CMD-Space, in Flash/Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign it allows you to temporarily access the zoom tool). In the System Prefs control panel, there was a shortcut for F8 for some other system feature, but even with that disabled, the shortcut still doesn't work in Flash.
Another strange thing that's happening with most of these Macs: the Properties panel popup for creating a tween doesn't work. Applying a tween in other ways --- the Insert menu, CTRL-clicking and choosing from the popup menu -- works fine. If a tween is applied with the properties panel, the tween appears as broken (dashed line) in the Timeline.
