how to display the "add effect" menu? I've looked around and can't seem to find any info on it. I was watching this youtube tutorial [URL}..v=m6CBiq6_RZM and they have it displayed in the upper left hand corner.

Basically, I need some text to fade in, and the actual number to count up [from zero to the number]. I managed to get it semi-working, but I can't get the numbers to fade in. It just displays next image. I want to incorporate a sliding effect when the image is changed to another. And second I want to use autoplay feature. As soon as swf starts the images came one by one with difference of few seconds.

updateObject is the loop for all my objects. I have one centralized loop and in that loop it calls on an array of objects that have been placed on the stage. all of them containing the method updateObject. to update the status of the object. addGameChild() is a encapsulated addChild() , that not only adds the object to the stage, but places it in a array so it's updateObject() method can be called on. it is also used to make it easier for garbage collection.
I am new in the marvelous world of flash 8. I am building now my photo galley that I will then include in my Web site. Here are my 2 questions : My pics are featured in a big display with a thumb gallery under it. Until now I managed to create a mouse rollover effect on the thumbnails so that a big image of the thumbnail appear in the big display when I roll my mouse over its thumb. Codes are ok everything work perfectly. I want now to create 2 things :
1 : I want my images to appear in the big display by fading and
2 : I want a bigger preview window of my thumb when I roll over my mouse on each of them ( the preview window appear more or less like a tooltip and strech)
Here is the code I basically use for the gallery I achieved till now.

In my flash page I made, in the right side, a horizontal infinite menu with a magnifying glass that has the same effect. This clip is made separately and is loaded into the page by an empty movie clip. All works well when is not in the page, but when it is loaded the lens is not moving. I figured out this problem putting this AS into the empty movie clip:

But another problem appeared. Wherever I use the mouse, the lens are acting as if I am manipulating it. The lens are moving according to the position of the mouse. What can I do?
i have a menu which has 10 items. there are sub menus for each of them. the submenus total to 40 items. and when i click on ech of these submenus, then i need an image to appear on a part of the stage. Now, I need the same effect for ech of the image. Say when i click on the 1st submenu of the 1st main menu, the image of an apple comes from the bottom the stage to the centre of the stage.
Now when I click on any other submenu - say 1st submenu of the 3rd main menu, this apple image should go off the stage from the top and an image of mango should appear from the bottom of the stage to the centre of the stage (same as how apple image appeared). So, basically, i need any image to come from the bottom of the stage to centre of the screen and whn a diff image is calld, the image on the screen shld go off frm centre to the top.
i was just curious on how i would go about recreating the transition effect you see when navigating through the menu on this page.

I'm basing the code concept off Senocular's tutorial on this site, but I'm basing the aesthetic/operational idea off portfolio menus such as those seen on [URL] and basically every other portfolio site that uses small thumbnails as icons to present larger versions of the work.
Functionally, I think I've got it down (it's basically the tutorial code with the submenu functions stripped out), but I'm struggling with trying to figure out how to display my attachMovie'd items in a logical row/column fashion... i.e. if I had 7 items in my XML file and wanted the row to exist in threes, I'd have two rows of three and one row of one.
I'm sure there's a very simple solution to this that I'm simply overlooking. I was just thinking about trying to implement this via some type of counter/multiplier for the _y property.
