View 4 RepliesI want to build a community website with videoconferencing functionality integrated. I would prefer to provide this from within the browser, so I'm looking for a Java- or Flash-based solution.Also, it would be nice to spare bandwidth by having the clients stream their audio and video data without using a central server (like the way Skype works, for example).Is there a reasonably mature open-source project that meets these criteria?

I'm currently working on a Java/Flex project and I'm looking for a way to generate some parts of my Actionscript code from my Java files. One of the goal is to generate the AS valueObjects from the JAVA transferObject as well as some AS code to access the serverside function asynchronous.And other important point is that I want to be independent of some IDE. The code generation should run from Maven or Ant and take the Java source code as input.I looked a little bit around and found stuff like SpringROO, Groovy-GRAM, AST in eclipse,..
View 6 RepliesI would like to know how to build a flex based flash file and handle it through java but the open-source way. I would like to learn using flex to develop webpages. Is there any way to implement it using eclipse IDE.

View 1 RepliesMost of the time when it comes to sharing FLA files compatibility is an issue. For me I have CS3 at college, CS4 at work and CS5 at home so saving as a specific version is an issue expacially as most people seem to have CS3. Is there such thing as a converter to allow the opening or saving of different versions? CS5 cannot save as a CS3 which is the main problem for me.
View 9 RepliesI am converting a .MOV file from After Effects in Flash Video Converter. I have jacked the quality to 2500. Although the audio is still dodgy and the video quality is still low. One of the biggest problems is that the images scale up in AE and when they are converted and played they jitter. Very dodgy and this project needs to be crystal clear.
View 1 RepliesFlash Player 10.1 published with creative new features including filters & effects, text, native device interactions, support for multitouch, gestures, mobile input models, accelerometer input and periodic timer, etc. Among them all, the introduction of periodic timer is the most innovative and significant one. This new feature functions as a double-edged sword which, on one hand, can lower CPU utilization and save battery life, on the other, it may cause troubles for some SWF converters to capture the flash content under such extremely low frame rate.
View 1 RepliesIm trying to convert a flash binary-decimal converter to another programming language (TI-Basic). I've got all of it down except one key part. I've got a solid backing of actionscript understanding but find myself unable to understand the following statement:
if (iNumber%2) { bin = "1"+bin; }
from this tutorial
I realize that inumber%2 will return a value being the remainder of inumber divided by 2, but how can this be a conditional? "if (2) { }" doesn't work for conditonals im used to. Or if your a TI-Basic wiz
p.s. how do you wrap actionscript tags around content in a post on the forum?
I have a client-server multigame suite for PC ("kind of" cross-platform using cygwin), which is developed in Java(game menus and database management), C++ (server side), and adobe Flash (game graphics & interaction).
I have never tried to develop for android, so i have no experience.I am thinking of migrating this suite to google TV. So i would like someone with android experience to give a clue on the following :
1) Is it going to be easy to migrate the Java application to an Android application?
2) What kind of Flash support does Android have? Can it load directly swf applications? Does it have to load swf's through browser?
3) Can i find any kind of performance indexes for google TV hardware?
I need to load somehow the html code of a webpage A into a javascript string of another webpage B, on a different host. I know this is impossible to do with javascript alone because of the same origin policy, and I know I could do it loading the page via php on my server and then send results back to the user's client but I wouldn't be able to handle so many requests, so I need it to be done directly by the user's browser. I can use nearly whatever browser scripting language/applet framework common enough to be installed on the majority of my users' computers, like flash and java.On example, what if I use flash or java to load the external html code and then call a javascript callback function providing the source? Could this work?
View 2 RepliesIf one doesn't have the source code, the only to test is to send keystroke and mouse move so I found this product but it's not free and opensource price is not even known :([URL] Squish supports automating interactions and testing non-HTML/DOM elements, that is, native objects, which are embedded in a web page. This is done at a fairly abstract level, which means that mouse and text input can be recorded and replayed.
In addition it is possible to inspect embedded native objects with the Spy tool and to insert verifications for these native objects. All of a native object's public properties can be accessed in test scripts.
I'm working on a Flash project and someone recommended Red5 as a media streaming server. Do I need to know java to use build applications that use Red5 as their server?

So inside my src folder I have my app.mxml file. I have a source directory pointed to my actionscript library.It appears that Flex does not look inside that source directory including an .as file within the master mxml file.
Code:
<mx:Script source="com/domain/something/somethingelse/app.as"/>
I could just have the main app.as file inside the src folder along with my app.mxml file but it would be nice if it could live in the actionscript library.
where can I get a free swf to video converter?

View 2 RepliesOne set for Celsius to Fahrenheit and another for Fahrenheit to Celsius. One set consists of a input box with a button next to it and a dynamic text box for the converted number. And then the same thing for the other set. I was just wondering what the code would be for it all.
View 1 RepliesOne thing asked for a lot with sIFR is hyphenation.The only problem is that Hyphenator.as is written in AcionScript 3, while sIFR is in ActionScript 2.I found an AS2 to AS3 converter s3-converter-createtextfield-geturl-handling/ but the result examples.bezel.be/sIFR-as3.as is not working yet.

I actually have to use xml to get the exchange rate, but I'd figure I'd start off like this to see if it works. Obviously it doesn't, for reasons beyond me, as it always is XD.
