Flash :: Icon With Image Text And 'x' For Remove In Carousel List?

I've a carousel, that has got an image and a label that shows a description of the icon. It is done using It has got an ItemRenderer that renders the image above the icon description text. [URL].Up on click event I display the image and details of some text pertaining that image/icon.
Now I wanted to introduce a smaller 'x' icon on top right hand side of the icons so the user could remove the items he's not interested in from the carousel's list of items. This would dispatch a different event so removeIconEvent and clickEvent would be handled differently.
I am loading the data externally from xml and displaying in a datagrid. I have 2 buttons addRow and deleteRow. My datagrid headertext names are "name" "age" "rollno" "image", where image also will be loading externally thru an xml file.now when i am pressing the deleteRow button, whole row is getting deleted but an image icon is still appearing under "image" headertext. It was not an actual image but a blank image icon kind of thing is appearing, how to remove the icon. i want my whole row to be deleted. but its not happening.
I am working on an older Flash project created in CS3 ActionScript 2.0 How can I make the pointer cursor change to the hand when hover over a list item?_root.slidePanel.myList'myList' is the list. I have traced out the contents of the List MC and it has a child MC called 'content_mc'. I assumed this was the object containing all of my list items but the only members of this MC I can see (when tracing them out) are 'setRGB' and 'searchKey'.
I found a a free flash carousel from gotoandlearn.com but don't know how to change it so the icons link to a page? I know that doesn't make sense but go to the link below and you'll download the finished piece so you can see what it does now.So basically I just want to make it so when the user clicks on an icon it takes them to a page. http:[url].....
I am playing with carousel 3 file and I have found it very simple to tweak the AS to fit my needs. However I would like to change the alpha to tween to say 60% when the icon is in its rear most position.

I watched all 3 Carousel tutorials but can not figure out how to use an image instead of dynamic text for the rollover bubble that appears above each icon.
I have a simple text chat flash client written by AS3. Text message can be sent and sync among flash clients. However, how can I send icon image in text chat like MSN?
way to show a jpeg image while a Flash file is loading or better, if they don' t have Flash?
Problem is that when people go to a site and they don't have Flash and can't install it (ie: iPhone), they can't see phone numbers, address etc. which is why that came there. It would sure easier to push Flash if there was a way to have an alternate image to view.
I try to list add the icon used the additem function but it just can display the lable name that icon function didn't work. I convert the icon type movie clip , shape and icon that still can't dispaly in the list. Actually, I want dynamic list let user choose the icon.
I'm trying to edit a basic flash carousel which I made from online tutorials. The carousel has 5 smiling images(as buttons) rotating as normal and when you hover over an image, it changes to an angry face. Now what i'm trying to do is, when the images reach the 5 to 7 o'clock position it changes to the hover image automatically.

This is very strange.i would like to show in my swf movie all the icons (jpg/png) I've imported as they are. I've set the JPG quality 100%, I've tried the PNG settings without quality lost, I've unchecked the "Allow smooth" setting.
But as soon as the movie have quality=high all the icons are smoothed/breaked and do not looks like the original ones [URL]..Instead, setting quality=low let show the icons as they are![URL]..Of course, I need the movie to be quality=high, since there will be some other stuff on it!
I have follwed the 3D Carousel tutorial..which was very good. The problem I have is that I would like to remove the carousel in frame 20 as this is a new page and I have included frame labels. But this carousel continues to play throughout the flash file.
Here is a tutorial that tells you how to remove the gloss on an app in xcode. How can I do this in flash cs5? If I can't, can I do something to the image in photoshop so that it looks like it has no gloss when the gloss is applied?
I use PopUpButton object and inside a Menu object. For some reason it has default text indent (even when an icon is not defined). How can I remove this indent?

Im creating a person search interface in Adobe Flex / Actionscript where we have an image for each person and a bit of text. By default, the iconFunction of List and Tree return only Class as the icon, which is for embeded images or iconUtility kindly provided by this site http:[url]...... It works very well with pre-created images.But what I really want is to accept a completely runtime generate sprite object, similar to what is done by Legend, with the color changes according to what the current status. I assume I could do something to make the ListBase to accept icon argument other than Class.

When I create a TLF text area that is editable at runtime (which means that it can get a user input at runtime) I set the text direction to the 'right-to-left' definition in both the 'container and flow' and the 'paragraph' sections and set the language for Arabic or Hebrew at the 'locale' setting. I also set the text alignment to the 'align to start' mode. Now at runtime there's a stange thing. When I try to click with the mouse cursor on the editable TLF text-box, it's not displaying the text icon cursor and don't allow me to insert text inside.
But when I move my mouse cursor over the right side of the editable TLF text box, it change his appearance to the familiar text cursor which indicate that if you click here you will be able to insert text input inside. So my problem is how can I make it that only when I will hover over the TLF text box itself, the mouse cursor will be changed to text cursor icon and when I will hover beside its right side, it will remain at the normal cursor mode.
We are creating a LinkButton programmatically and would like to set it's icon to an image retrieved from the remote server rather than something embedded within the SWF. The .icon property expects a Class but I can't figure out how to create one equivalent to an @Embed but from a dynamically generated URLRequest or URL String.[code]...
