Flash :: Menu Dissapears BEHIND File?

I've been searching various solutions to this, one of which I found this site, but I'm still a bit stuck. Basically, I've made a website with a JavaScript drop down menu, that all works fine, but on one of the pages I have linked to a flash file that is hosted using a 3rd party (www.zmags.com). see code below

I know this is NOT specifically a flash problem. But the file it's linking to IS a flash file. The thing is, the 3rd party company who supply the interactive pdf viewer, wont allow me to gain access to the .swf itself. is this a problem? I only need to make the menu appear OVER the file.

I downloaded a template for a friend tothem get a website up and running quickly.The template is bassically a Flash movie and a Content.xml file. am using Flash CS4 ver 10.0.2I can open and edit the .fla (or not make any change at all), when I publish to the .swf file and launch the index.html to veiw the Flash, I loose some of the content text. It litterally disapears. Not all text is gone. The titles, headings and other content text is there but the content for the main pages is gone.
In my looking at the FLA, I see that some of the text is embedded. Could this be a place to start looking?I can reload the original SWF and the text is there, the second I publish a new one, it's gone. I can provide a link to a zip of my files if someone cares to look at them.Also, I am publishing with settings of Flash 8 and AS2. If I try to change to AS3, it tells me that Flash functionality will not work right.

I'm having a problem embedding fonts in a second of my code.I have added a font to the library and am using it in the code but when I use embedFonts = true; the text dissapears. Here is the code in mention:

I am trying to create a crossword puzzle made up of text fields, one for each letter. I am pretty much done, but there is one problem I can't get a handle on. I hope someone brilliant can help:
The Problem:The user has already typed a letter into TextFied "XY" and then clicks back into that same TextField (maxChars=1, btw.) to write over that letter (or not). I want the letter to stay until a new letter is typed, and definitely, if the user decides not to provide a new letter.
No problem, works 90 percent of the time. But sometimes --I find oddly enough especially with "S" and "D", but not exclusively-- the letter disappears and stays gone, even when you leave the TextField. The Only way to bring it back is to go back into the Textfield and use the Arrow keys to move the courser to a position before the letter. Very Ugly!
This problem is triggered by clicking into the box as well as by the "stage.focus=" method. I already tried the setSelection- no succes, I also tried making the font smaller, - give it breathing room, so to speak- , also fruitless. Does any one have any ideas how that effect could be avoided with certainty? Here is my code for reference:

Check it out. I am creating an XML gallery. I am able to load in the gallery info from the XML just fine. The preloader works just fine. And I can set my _x and my _y just fine.BUT.... when I attempt to set my movie clip (that acts as the pic holder) to a width or height, the MC never shows up!

I have a css drop down menu on the header portion of my website and the flash movie plays on the center of the site. The problem is, when the drop down menu is clicked it goes under the flash movie so that people can't see what is on the menu. Not sure if this is something that can be adjusted on the parameters of the movie or not?
My current parameters are:

I am using Adobe Flash CS4 Professional. I have a simple navigation menu that I am trying to edit. I may be in the wrong place in the file, but when I open the .SWF files I can see the lines of code and I can see the actual navigation menu as it appears on our web site. I have not been able to figure out how to change / edit / delete the line inthe drop down menu that I want to delete on our web site.

how to link the buttons in drop down menu to the content(scenes) within the flash file? The drop down menu has been made using the masks. Those buttons, which are not drop down/masked, work properly. Those which are drop down/masked, do not work. The content appears after clicking on them, then disappears when other (drop down) button is rolled over.

I am aware of how to reset the right-click context menu to just "settings", but when the file is opened in Flash Player directly from a computer instead of on the web, the drop-down menu in the player is still available. You can even press ctrl+enter to play. My searches just come up with solutions to the right-click menu, and I have a client who wants me to get rid of this menu for a game I've already made.

I need to add a couple menu items to an existing Flash menu that I did not create, but I am having trouble figuring out how to make the buttons stay highlighted until you click another one. Best way to simply describe my problem since is to simple show you. The first 5 links work exactly as they should. I have created this site with a expanding / collapsin menu. When a user selects a menu e.g. "hammers" then the menu is loaded and show the submenues. When the users closes the menu by moving the mouse away from the area the menu collapses. If the user expands the menu again the menu should have remember the last visit menu and show the menu.

(the site is in portuguese but it doesnt matter), when I click in on menu the actual menu does an alpha to 0 and the next menu appears using the alpha from 0 to 100 (and some animations like the cellphone going up).Now, how can I do a menu like that, whatever the menu I choose, it does that alpha animation ?

I've been working in two menus, to be located in separate frames, the 1st one has a column of six buttons, each one directing the user to its own webpage, then at the bottom of those webpages there's an additional navigation flash movie, this one takes me to the next or previous webpage, I need additional control over the 1st menu through clicks in the 2nd menu, I've been able to control the state of the buttons in the 1st menu through sole clicks on the 2nd menu, but I can't control the 1st menu through mixed use of 2nd and 1st menu.
