Is it possible to record and stream an air window to flv?
I would like to be able to use multiple video inputs and use text and graphics. To create a video mixer, picture in picture, key in graphics, etc. I'm able to do this on the display but would like to be able to record and stream it as well. I would also like to retain HD resolution. Recording the window maybe a dirty method. Is there another way?
i have build a small test app in Flash Pro 5.5 overlayed with the AIR 3 sdk.is has just 2 buttons to record and playback audio from the microphone. when i test this on my iPhone 3g - i record myself saying "1-2-3-4-5". but when i playback a half a second or so is missing from the beginning : "3-4-5-".
when i test this on the desktop all is fine is this a result of the iPhone 3g's cpu power or is it a bug or is it my code?
I want my site's users to be able to record videos straight from their webcams into my site. Videowhisper is one such tool which seems to work fine - [URL] But I'm looking for opinions on better / more scalable / reliable solutions. Paid solutions are fine.
i have to record the video at client side n then save it on server side, so that it can be viewed when ever required.to act like a video testimony by client.
Here, there are two buttons, one starts recording and the other stops recording. The resulting .swf file is only 2kb in size and it doesn't do what it is supposed to do.What am I doing wrong here? Other players similar to this have sizes in the range of 80-100 kb.
I'm trying to record from my headphone port directly into my microphone port (using an aux cable) in Adobe Flash Builder / AIR, but I'm having a couple problems:
1. The recording never sounds "full" compared to the original MP3 file that I'm playing in iTunes. PCM is supposed to be an uncompressed format, so the quality should be lossless.
2. The saved recording (WAV) is always half the length of what I recorded. (Example: if i record for a minute, I'll end up with a 0:30 wav file, with the second half of the recording not there)
I'm actually working on a website where I want to integrate an online mixer such as[url]...I would like that after the user create his mix, he can record it and save it to a DB.
need some help in recording the H.264 video using Flash media server 3.5, does anyone have working experience (or) any idea about H.264 video recording with the Flash player. I am trying to publish the stream using the netstream.publish(mp4:streamname.mp4); but the video codec id of this recorded video is coming as H.263, hence I tried to record the video in H.264 format.I am using logitech webcam for capturing the video.
Do i need to install anyother codec plugin for h.264 support?
I want my users to record audio/video and post that to other users.
Is it possible to record video through Flash's and receive encoded video on server side without any further processing (i.e. just saving the stream to a file)? I did some Google search and found that it's possible with new microphone API [URL] Did anyone tried that already? How easy is to use Red5 server for recording? How can i get the recorded video/audio file(s) from it? DO i've to write some logic for this?
Imagine that you want to record video with filter you made but stream class doesn't publish video but camera and camera class doesn't have filter option. What would you do?
I wish to build an application using which I can record video (along with audio) and also audio (only audio preferably in mp3 format). From some research I did, I found I need a client app in flash or flex, a RTMP Server (RED5 preferable as its free) This is the code which I used to get cam working flash.
var camera:Camera = Camera.getCamera(); var video:Video = new Video(); video.attachCamera(camera); addChild(video);
The problem is, I don't know how to send the stream to RED5. Also, what do I need to do so that I can store the video according to the user. The website I am creating is in PHP/MySQL and need to have their own videos and audios recorded. I love the way facebook has integrated Video Recording.
I have an application which shows videos from users webcam. I want to know that is there any open source script or something in as3 which can save this video as mpeg or flv format.
I am preparing a presentation DVD... DVD will contain wmv video, user manual and another flash exe file... So DVD interface will contain three elements; user manual, a flash exe file and video.. Flash video window will be short-time video, playing like 5-10 seconds then repeats itself... My question is, how could I accomplish to put video window playing certain amount of time then repeats itself, in main window? I need as3 fla example, which could be so useful for me..
I created a Flash application that reads POST data from a form. A user clicks the button, and the data gets posted to the flash app in a new window (_blank). Now takes the data and then spins a wheel to give users a prize. If they don't win a message pops up letting them know they didn't win. If they don't win, clicking the OK button needs to close the browser window.
I've tried a number of solutions and it seems that the only way to get this done is to launch the window with javascript and then use ExternalInterface.call('window.close'); to close the window from within the Flash actionscript (3) because otherwise the window won't close (I've tried just using window.close and window.close() with no luck)
I understand how to launch a new window with javascript, but I don't know how to simultaneously launch and POST data to that window (the Flash application has to have the POST data. Is this the best solution? Is there a way to close a browser window easier than what I'm describing?[URL]
I have an asp page that will open a new asp page in a new window that contains a swf file with a button.hen the user clicks the button i want to close that window and reload the parent window.
I have purchased flash media server and I'm looking for a way to have people record video off their webcams and have it saved to the FMS. How to do this?
I have developed an application with fms3.5.3 and there is some latency problem so my client is looking peer to peer communication "FMS4" with video recording, how is it possible
I am planning an implementation for a lecture capture solution for a local university. It is supposed to record all aspects of the lecture: the presenter will be recorded using videocamera + mic, his desktop activity is captured and optionally the whiteboard is captured as well (using Mimio). These input streams arrive (as video streams) to a computer that stores the recording on its harddisk. The file format for the recording should be able the hold multiple streams (Matroska for example).
The recording will be available from the uni's website. So at the client-side Flash seems a natural choice.
The player should display the different input sources into different rectangular regions of the player. One region displays the presenter, another region displays the desktop recording.
Is it possible to use a Matroska file as source for Flash streaming? If yes, how? If no, is there another container format more suitable for this? The FLV format can only hold one audio and one video file. Is it possible to have one Flash client receive multiple streams and diplay them in different regions of its own canvas?
I'm looking for a flash widget that allows users to record their audio and then send it to the server.
There are a few similar questions:
Record Audio and Upload as Wav or MP3 to server
They advocate using Red5 or flash media server.
Shouldn't it be possible to record locally on the user's client using the codecs that the user already has and then upload the resulting file to the server, rather than say, process the and record the stream on the server itself.
I'm going to do a voice recording plugin/addon on a website that will record audio and send it to the server for further processing. I have had two suggestions; either write a java applet or use flash. The service is supposed to work for all major browsers(IE, Firefox, chrome,..). I'm new to this area of development and is looking for tips on how to proceed with this. What is the pro's and con's for each solution?
For java applet, what Java speech API library do you recommend? I want a simple, small library, I only need voice input. Also, I am puzzled by Flash development, I can't find any good information about development, the adobe website dosn't make much sense. What is the programming language for flash, and how do you actually run it in html code? I have found ActionScript 3, is that used to create Flash plugins and can it perform voice recording?
This isn't another one of those "How can I record audio in the browser?" questions... I know that the HTML5 Stream API is around the corner and Flash can already access the user's microphone and camera. I'm simply wondering, as a Javascript developer with little knowledge of Flash, if anyone has developed a JS library that hooks into Flash's device capabilities for recording but sends the results back to javascript (presumably using ExternalInterface).
In other words... libraries like SoundManager2 utilize a Flash fallback for audio playback, but they don't seem to allow for recording. Has anyone written a JS library that uses an invisible Flash movie to allow audio recording?
I am trying to create a Flash application(more like a game) where a user can add sounds to a timeline and then play the resulting "song". That is not really hard to do, and the resulting track can be saved and played within my app, but the problem is that I would like to export the created track as a .wav(or .mp3). I know that recording from a microphone with MicRecorder is possible and then the record can be exported with WaveEncoder, but I didn't find a way to create a custom sound stream from multiple sounds and than export it. Is this possible?
I'm trying to create a Flash piano application. I'm a beginner and I'm using Adobe Flash CS5. The first part of my piano is ultimated, infact I created all keys and each of them works fine. Now I wanna insert a recording function, so that when you click on the recording button you can store the composed melody. I need obviously to insert Stop and Play function, to stop recording and listening the music. How can I do that? Which types of codes I need to study?
