Flash :: Counter Displays Sprites In Place Of Number Values - Error #1010 Actionscript 3
Feb 17, 2010
The counter displays sprites in place of number values. More experienced programmers have given me a clue. Why am I getting error # 1010. Secondly, what am I not seeing that's so obvious? I wish I went in to this with a better foundation in actionscript 3, but I'm reading and doing my best. WHAT I SEE
-dollar sign indicates a variable or array "$numbers"
-import flash.utils.Dictionary; "indicates an associative string"
-Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties
-is the associative string is fooling me? "maybe I set no values, duh"
-are the property of my symbols are set wrong?
How do I use the counter to trigger sprites? Need an example or idea to work from. I want the number values to load sprites. The value of the counter goes to a text field. I want each number value to have an "if" condition to play a sprite of a corresponding number.
I need the counter to count up to a set date and end on a set number. The date would be 12/31/07 and the number would be 1,000,000. Just like the current counter I would like it to reference to the users cmoputer clock.
I have big element at the top of the webpage that sides down with jQuery when a button is clicked. However, if the first post on the blog is a flash video, it shows up on top of the menu. Z-index doesn't help in this instance.
when i run my flash file (test it) in the output panel i get the following error
TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties. i read some where, that this was caused because one of the variables is set to null. after looking at my code i found out that the following line was causing this output
arrSelectedIndex[i] = -1;
this is later on used as the selected index in a group of radio buttons.
I have a gear on stage which rotates using this script.....
[Code]...
//Here is my question. I want to place a second gear on stage and have it rotate counter clock-wise. If I wish to use the same script (this script makes for smother rotation.) What modification do I need to make?
I can find absolutely nothing when I search for an answer. I have a conditional comment in my html to only display a flash file when the browser is IE. And it works great, except that the conditional comment is displaying in my browser! [URL] to see the error (it only shows in IE). Could it be because I haven't declared the page as an html4 page? The only way I can get the comments to go away is if I use this syntax: <!--<![if lt IE10]><!-->my code<!--<![endif]--> . When I do this, of course my flash file shows underneath my alternate content on other browsers.
I am trying to create some flash mcs which react to others when rolled over etc but I am getting this error: TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties.
I'm having trouble getting to the bottom of this error. The debugger says my class is undefined. Wonder if you might have some ideas, I cannot manipulate the properties in side the Ball class I have created in my main document class.May be a scope error of some kind or a problem with my Ball class declaration.
i am just trying to get data from wcf web service to as3 using aducentes class.i connect normally to web service but when i try to acces methods i get the error of TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties..
import alducente.services.WebService; import flash.events.*; var ws:WebService = new WebService();[code].....
The first 2 loops set the textfields just fine. But the next 2 give me the error Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties. Something is NULL, but what? Can't figure out :(
I have strange error which i tried to fix all day but with no result. The application is working fine in debug modus, but after I uploaded it to my server it throws following Error:
when swf file run then dis errors cm--TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no propertiesat tm.template::PagesEngine/::createGalleryEngine() at Function/http://adobe.com/AS3/2006/builtin::apply() at MethodInfo-71( at
I'm receiving this error message:TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties.at IllustrationIllustration_fla::MainTimeline/frame2() while testing a movie I'm making. I'm testing buttons.I have absolutely no idea what the program is trying to tell me other than that on some layer in the maintime line frame 2 has no properties
When I test my movie, I'm getting this error: TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties. I think it's caused by child objects but I couldn't fix it. My code:
var wPawn1:Object = new Object(); wPawn1.mc = new WhitePawn(); addChild(wPawn1.mc);[code]...........
I need to make textfields appear that display a number. It's for making score numbers pop up out of enemies. I can create a single textfield that displays the appropriate number but I don't understand how I can set up variables in it. If I've created a textfield, how can I then remove it after a certain amount of time? It doesn't make sense to me since the textfield only seems to exist as an instance and not an object I can refer to.
I am tring to make my counter start after a certain number.
Code: onEnterFrame=function(){ _root.displayNumber=_root._currentframe + " of 35";
This is the code I am using but when It loads another movie it starts over. (1 of 35)I have tried _currentframe ==3 + and other varations but I can't seem to make it work. How do I make the second movie start at 4 instead of 1?
I am trying to make a script that will count up to the designated number...if the set number was 50 then you would see all the numbers 0 through 50...and to make things even more fun I also need it to be for currency so I need a decimile point i.e.. $50.00
i need to develop an image gallery that displays images based on certain values chosen by the user. Imagine two sliders such as "gadgets" and "cars". The sliders provide values from 1 to 10. The flash movie then generates a gallery based on those provided weights. The user may want more gadgets than cars or all cars or more cars than gadgets etc. Im a tad lost as to where i should start here...XML? MYSQL? should i start swatting up on AS3?
I'm trying to syncronize an audio and some text by highlighting it. In the main movie I have counter variable which calls charCounter3.as and timeVars variable which calls timeSettings.as I have onEnterFrame function that highlights the text while sound is playing.
My code is: function onEnterFrame(e:Event):void { pos=soundChannel.position; var minutes:uint=Math.floor(soundChannel.position/1000/60); var seconds:uint=Math.floor(soundChannel.position/1000)%60; debug_txt.text='position: '+pos; [Code] .....
Highlighted text needs to be updated on audio forwards and backwards. I think onEnterFrame isn't being able to catch the timeArr values.
i have 12 buttons, and i wish to raise counter number for 1 when i click on it. When i click on the same button second time i dont want to count. Then when i click on another button i want to raise the counter number for one. But the problem is when i click back again on the first button the first number shows, but i want that the counter counts to 12 successively, and not when i click on the same buton shows its "count" number. here is my code for 2 butons:
stop(); this.nevidni_vongola.onRelease = function(){ gotoAndPlay("dondola"); var count:Number = 0;
Trying to make a code that displays a number of products/images. Problem is pretty simple... when I put in a new picture, it ends on top of and covers the last. Do I use an image array to fix this? And how?
Also, if I want to position my array/gallery somewhere else on stage, where/how do I adjust the x y values?
my .fla file:
Code: var myPicture:Picture = new Picture("bilde1.jpg", 100, 100); addChild(myPicture);
it was possible to control the number of tick marks the Flex DateTimeAxis displays along its axis? Currently, the datetimeaxis controls how many tick marks to display on its axis whenever I change the date range on my chart. Ideally, I would just like there to be only and always 7 tick marks no matter how many datapoints are on the chart. I went into the DateTimeAxis class and noticed that there is a public function called transformCache(), which actually handles rendering the tick marks on the axis but I am not sure what class calls this method.
I originally had a button named hairOne for a dressup game, I later swapped a symbol with another symbol, gave it the correct instance name, but now I keep getting error #1010 "a term is undefined and has no properties". yet if I go back to the old symbol it works, why wont it work when I swap the symbol with another is what I can't figure outso heres what it sort of looks likeheres an instance name of a button = haircolourand heres the codesum public function {
haircolour.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, oneyesButtonClick); } another public function oneyesButtonClick(dostuff:yeah):void {
In an external .as file, I'm creating a movieclip and I am then trying to add another movieclip inside the newly created clip. I am using the following code:
PHP Code:[url]....
When I run it, I get "Type Error: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties".It has something to do with the 'mcHolder'. If I run the code without the mcHolder in front of:
