Flash :: Php :: Check If An Swf File Implements ClickTAG?
Apr 20, 2011
We've been developing an affiliate system and would like to detect somehow that a compiled, SWF advert implements clickTAG or not. Is there any way to automate this process?

In ActionScript 3.0, there are a few ways to check a class's extension. For example, if I want to know of a custom class extends Sprite I could use the is operator:
trace(MyClass is Sprite);
Or I could use flash.utils.getQualifiedSuperclassName:
trace(getQualifiedSuperclassName(MyClass));
I would like to accept a class as an argument and check to see if the passed class implements an certain interface. Is there an equally simple or common way to check if my custom class adheres to an interface? Perhaps something like:
trace(MyClass implements IMyInterface);

How can I test if a class reference implements an interface? Note that the is and instanceof operators do not work with Class references.
Example:

how to put the code into the HTML file to complete the clickTAG process for a banner ad.
I have put the following code onto the button (covers whole ad):
on (release) {
clickTAG = "http://" + clickTAG.slice(7);
if(clickTAG.substr(0,4)=="http") getURL(clickTAG,"_blank");
}
but I need to know what to do with the HTML doc....Is this how the ad goes to the intended location like a regular URL link would?

I want to be shure that someone is not sending requests from other locations. It is very important for security reasons. Will the following PHP code work?
if(isset($_SERVER['HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR']))

I made a banner ad and the site gave me this code to work with:
on (release) {
if (clickTAG.substr(0,5) == "http:" ) {
getURL(clickTAG, "_blank");[code].........
I made an invisible layer and put this code on it. The swf showed the hand, but when I clicked on the banner nothing happened, on my end or on the live site.Then I used this code:
on(release)
{getURL(clickTag,"_blank")}
On my end it would open a blank page. On their end they got a 404 message.Why is it not connecting to the server and opening the link? Is there something in my file that could be preventing either clickTAG from working?I exported in Flash 9. I'm using a loop code. I have many layers and masks, but all are under the invis. layer.

Is there a way to generate an instance of a class that implements an interface based on the name of the class?
I am trying:
var ClassReference:Object = getDefinitionByName("movement.OuterSpaceMovement") as IMovement;
var m:IMovement = new ClassReference as IMovement;
trace("startup..." + m);
-But I am getting an error message ReferenceError: Error #1065 (OuterSpaceMovement) not defined.
I have several classes that implement the same interface (IMovement) but I need to be able to generate new instances of these classes and then pass these instances as a datatype (IMovement datatype) to other classes...
So then I tried:
var ClassReference:Class = getDefinitionByName("OuterSpaceMovement") as Class;
var m:IMovement = new ClassReference() as IMovement;
and this doesn't seem to work...but the following
var m:IMovement = new OuterSpaceMovement();

I'm trying to load a RSL library into a flash animation developed with Flash CS5 IDE, that extends a custom class and implements an interface. I have reduced the problem to the simplest setup and find that I can have my main class extend another class or implement an interface, but not do both at the same time if I want to load an RSL.I have a very simple class to extend:
import flash.display.Sprite;
public class MySprite extends Sprite
{[ code]...........
but if I want both I get the VerifyError: Error #1014 with MySprite not found and ReferenceError: Error #1065.

I urgently need to be able to check the authenticity of a Flash CS4 file. There is no information given about author etc in the properties using Windows but I was hoping that Flash embeds author information and history.

In my flash, I created a transparent button in the first frame in the uppermost layer and in the timeline it spanned the entire flash. I'm running CS4 AS 2.0 and flash player 10 When I right click the button and add the code in actions on (release) { if (clickTAG.substr(0,5) == "http:") { getURL(clickTAG, "_blank"); } } and I try to export, I get a compiler error: Mouse Events Are Permitted Only For Button Instances.

I have a multipart html form with a file input element and would like to check the size of the selected file before uploading. I can access the file path using the value attribute, however is it possible to pass that path to a swf and have the swf return the file size or is this blocked by the flash sandbox? Are there any existing projects that already do this? I'd like to avoid replacing my file input element with a flash uploader if possible.

I've designed an as3 flash banner with 3 input fields. The user fills in these fields and clicks a button. The text from these fields are then stored as variables, which needs to be included in the target url - like this:
websitestuff...?a=1&b=2&c=3
This is no problem. However, here's the issue: The banner needs to use clickTAG as it will be uploaded to Google Adwords. I can make the clickTAG part work, but have been unsuccessful in also adding the 3 variables after the url.

I'm designing a Flash Ad that requires a specific clickTAG.
this.onMouseDown = function() {
var fo:LoadVars = new LoadVars();
fo.send(_root.clickTAG, "_top", "POST");
}
I want to implement user initiated sound, but I can't seem to define a certain region for the clickTAG. Also I'm using AS 2.0. I know the clickTAG won't take me to the proper location, but I uploaded it to my website to test the audio. [URL]. I tried placing an invisible movie clip over the location I want the clickTAG to work and attached the ActionScript to the mc.
When I scroll over the audio button it changes, but when I click it, instead of playing the audio it just tries to go to the URL. I also tried using a button, but that didn't work either. The website requires this specific clickTAG, which is annoying because I've used others in the past that didn't have this issue.

I'm building a Flash banner (as3) for AdWords, but I can't find in their documentation whether it is possible to add hash or querystring variables to appear in the eventual target url when u are using a clickTAG. Ideally I would like to use both. For example, my banner has four input fields and I would like to build my target url thusly:
var base:String= "http://www.example.com";
var qs:String= "?one=" + input1.text + "&two=" + input2.text;
var hs:String= "#three=" + input3.text + "&four=" + input4.text;
var targetUrl:String= base + qs + hs;
flash.net.navigateToURL(new URLRequest(targetUrl), "_blank");
Is this possible with AdWords while using clickTAG?

I working on a flashbanner. It is a dynamic textfield called "regnr" where the user is supposed to add a registration number (of their car) before clicking the send button. This code is on the button:
Code:
on(release){
//getURL("[URL]"+regnr.text);
getURL(_root.clickTag+regnr.text,"_blank");
}}
It works when the domain is hardcoded but doesn't work when I am using the clickTag. Is it possible to add variables like this to a clickTag? How could this be done to actually work?

I am overriding the addItem() function of an array collection and I would like to detect if the added item implements a particular interface. Previously I used the, is operator to detect the class type, but now that I am using an interface for classes I would rather test to see if the object implements the interface. I expect I could just try and cast the object as the interface and see if it's not null. Is this the best way to do it? I could also just create a new addFunction() that only accepts objects of the interface type.

Is there any non-hacky way to determine wether a class' superclass implements a particular interface?
For example, assume I've got:
class A extends EventDispatcher implements StuffHolder {
protected function get myStuff():Stuff { ... };
public function getStuff():Array {
[Code].....
How could I perform that super is StuffHolder test in a way that, well, works? In this case, it always returns true.

I'm interested in making an object that implements IEventDispatcher.
Does anyone know what the goes in addEventListener(...) dispatchEvent(...) etc. ?
My goal is to create my own simple Button that listens to mouse events, not 100% sure about the entire process (probably use hitTest and a single invisible pixel to trigger mouse events), this object extends BitmapData (Not an IEventDispatcher) so i have the option to use pure pixel rendering + mouse control.

I'm trying to find out if there is a way of using clickTag and Google Analytics to track outgoing banner clicks. clickTag code:
on (release) {
if (clickTAG.substr(0,5) == "http:") {
getURL(clickTAG);
}
}
Maybe someone can tell me whether the following would work:
on (release) {
if (clickTAG.substr(0,5) == "http:") {
getURL("javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/somebannerad');");
getURL(clickTAG);
}
}
like a solution that worked with the standard clickTag code and didn't involve changing any code in the flash file.

Not sure if this is possible but I would like to reflect a swf or swc file selected by the user at runtime to find any classes that implement a certain interface. Can this be done or do you actually need a reference to the class you want to reflect using describeType();
Note - this would be done in actionscript.

Is there a way to check file name case when loading a file? For example:
My URLRequest has this: "filename1.swf", but the actual file on the server is this FILENAME1.swf. Since the file names do not match case, is there a way i can have flash and AS3 catch this?
