Flash :: PHP Application Tell If The Loaded Swf Movie Uses The ClickTAG?
Feb 24, 2011
That and other information about the movie, like the width, height, duration, framerate and if it make other urlRequest. I need this for a banner management system.
I am creating a Flex application with a component that displays various dynamically loaded SWFs, one at a time (kind of like a kiosk). These loaded SWFs are created in Flash IDE, not Flex. They will not be created by us (we will provide a .fla template but that's it), so I am loading them into a separate SecurityDomain.
My Questions:
I want the application to be able to call methods inside the loaded SWF. To do this, would I just call Security.allowDomain("domain original app was loaded from") in the startup process for the loaded SWF? I want the loaded SWF to be able to throw events that are caught by the application. Can I accomplish this through the SWFLoader.swfBridge property? I am defining an interface for the methods inside the loaded SWF. But, I don't want to leave the implementation up to the customer. Instead, I want to provide another SWF that contains the interface implementation and have it be a constraint that the customer includes it in their SWF. I am not very familiar with the Flash authoring environment, how would it work so that the interface implementation SWF exposes its methods in such a way to be accessible to Flex? Is there a way to sign the SWF so that the Flex application knows that it is dealing with the original, not a spoof? How would the Flex code pass in arguments, since it is across SecurityDomain boundary -- is there marshalling involved (say if I want to pass in a Dictionary or some kind of object graph)? The Flex application may load hundreds of these smaller other SWFs during its lifetime. How do I make sure it doesn't keep using up more memory? I plan on using SWFLoader.unloadAndStop() and clearing all references in the Flex object that refers to it. Is this enough? Will the AppDomain for the loaded SWF be torn down automatically so that the class definitions are no longer in memory?
I would like to know is it possible to access the flash application object loaded in the default web browser and programatically get a screenshot of the application only.
Nothing on the screen, nothing in the console. I do, however, see adl.exe hanging in the processes and eating up memory - i assumed its the loaded, but invisible application.
Update:Created a blank Flex 4.5 (Air 3.1) project that changes the background - and it worked out fine. Tried to use this config (tweaked the filename) - and it doesn't work. Seems the problem only applies to mobile projects.
I made a banner ad and the site gave me this code to work with:
on (release) { if (clickTAG.substr(0,5) == "http:" ) { getURL(clickTAG, "_blank");[code].........
I made an invisible layer and put this code on it. The swf showed the hand, but when I clicked on the banner nothing happened, on my end or on the live site.Then I used this code:
on(release) {getURL(clickTag,"_blank")}
On my end it would open a blank page. On their end they got a 404 message.Why is it not connecting to the server and opening the link? Is there something in my file that could be preventing either clickTAG from working?I exported in Flash 9. I'm using a loop code. I have many layers and masks, but all are under the invis. layer.
In my flash, I created a transparent button in the first frame in the uppermost layer and in the timeline it spanned the entire flash. I'm running CS4 AS 2.0 and flash player 10 When I right click the button and add the code in actions on (release) { if (clickTAG.substr(0,5) == "http:") { getURL(clickTAG, "_blank"); } } and I try to export, I get a compiler error: Mouse Events Are Permitted Only For Button Instances.
I am trying to make a banner ad that allows me to tracks stats / click thrus.I thought I could use clickTags, but i don't know if I can since I need to have the MY link embedded in the fla.
We've been developing an affiliate system and would like to detect somehow that a compiled, SWF advert implements clickTAG or not. Is there any way to automate this process?

I've designed an as3 flash banner with 3 input fields. The user fills in these fields and clicks a button. The text from these fields are then stored as variables, which needs to be included in the target url - like this: websitestuff...?a=1&b=2&c=3 This is no problem. However, here's the issue: The banner needs to use clickTAG as it will be uploaded to Google Adwords. I can make the clickTAG part work, but have been unsuccessful in also adding the 3 variables after the url.
I'm designing a Flash Ad that requires a specific clickTAG. this.onMouseDown = function() { var fo:LoadVars = new LoadVars(); fo.send(_root.clickTAG, "_top", "POST"); }
I want to implement user initiated sound, but I can't seem to define a certain region for the clickTAG. Also I'm using AS 2.0. I know the clickTAG won't take me to the proper location, but I uploaded it to my website to test the audio. [URL]. I tried placing an invisible movie clip over the location I want the clickTAG to work and attached the ActionScript to the mc.
When I scroll over the audio button it changes, but when I click it, instead of playing the audio it just tries to go to the URL. I also tried using a button, but that didn't work either. The website requires this specific clickTAG, which is annoying because I've used others in the past that didn't have this issue.
I'm building a Flash banner (as3) for AdWords, but I can't find in their documentation whether it is possible to add hash or querystring variables to appear in the eventual target url when u are using a clickTAG. Ideally I would like to use both. For example, my banner has four input fields and I would like to build my target url thusly:
var base:String= "http://www.example.com"; var qs:String= "?one=" + input1.text + "&two=" + input2.text; var hs:String= "#three=" + input3.text + "&four=" + input4.text; var targetUrl:String= base + qs + hs; flash.net.navigateToURL(new URLRequest(targetUrl), "_blank");
Is this possible with AdWords while using clickTAG?
I working on a flashbanner. It is a dynamic textfield called "regnr" where the user is supposed to add a registration number (of their car) before clicking the send button. This code is on the button:
It works when the domain is hardcoded but doesn't work when I am using the clickTag. Is it possible to add variables like this to a clickTag? How could this be done to actually work?
i am trying to get a 'clickTag' variable to work within a flash banner ad which i didn't make.. i have been assured that within the flash file the variable is being 'expected'.. i am using swfobject to pass in the clickTag variable..
[Code]...
the flash banner displays fine.. but there is 'clicking' element of it is not working.. ie. there is no link on the banner.. can anyone see any problems with the way i am doing this...? or.. is the problem definitely within the swf....??
say i have a main movie, into this movie is loaded another movie on level_1.
is there any actionscript that allows a button inside the loaded movie control the main movie? i.o.w. can a button inside the loaded movie tell the main movie to go to another scene?
+ i am looking for code for that same button to unload the movie it is in itself..
I've a flash movie that I would like to use inside of a flex application, very similar to a preloader.
Looking at this tutorial, [URL], I expected it would be a matter of not extending "Preloader" and extending "Sprite" and using the class i created wherever i needed.
Alas, the movie I created, is not being shown.
This is the code for my class containing the movie, made based on the tutorial above:
I know that my question has been asked before but I didn't found any answer suitable for my case or even works. My problem is: I need to embed a Flash movie inside WPF application, then I need to use Externalinterface - or whatever the way is - to integrate through this flash movie - I'm working on Visual Studio 2008! I found some ways but no one worked with me .
I want to create very simple application with 2 view:
-> list with some tags -> single view with movie
every tag is connected to a flash movie. The movie will be on my own server in web. I want to play in my app this movie with a some player. But not via web browser but inside my application. is that possible ? What do I need to do to achive that ? I mean how to play the movie. Building list etc is easy
A while ago, I created a replacement shell to run as a front end for a cybercafe. It was nothing fancy; just a flash movie that had button links to IE and a few trusted applications.
I'm trying to develop it further now and am wondering two things:
1. Is it possible to send an application to a frame within a movie? For example, have a static movie at the top with links, then when a button is pressed, the menu remains but the application opens below without overlapping. I know I can use HTML and frames but really want to keep it all in one movie/swf.
2. Is it possible to build on the above and have some sort of application lister that will allow you to switch between the two applications you have running. For example, a user may open IE, then open Word. Word has now replaced IE and I want the user to have a simple click button to go back to an existing window rather than open another instance from the menu.
Is possible to shutdown a exe file application when my Flash movie starts. For example, I have several Exe files, one open after another, but I want to close the first exe file. is there some kind of sfcommand quit project.exe ?
I've built a site at [URL]. I'm getting a white panel where a flash swf should be loading. I'm using Dreamweaver to place the flash movie in a template for the pages.
I am trying to make an interactive flash application that works by detecting mouse overs and clicks on various buttons/movie clips and then moves to the appropriate part of the time line. But I am having an issue when I use more than one addEventListener in any one frame. I have attached the code for one such frame below. When I comment out the addEventListner and the other code relating to the followBall function this works fine and directs the user to frame Inlet_Valve_Open_Frame but now only the followBall function is working and when i try to click on the Inlet_Valve_Button movie clip nothing happens.
I have never read all the help files on the adobe flash CS3 as i don't have time and i have built this code up based on examples i have found online. I wanted to include my fla file but it's to big 6Mb. But i have attached the swf so you have an idea what i am doing.
I have loaded a movie clip (300X300px) (level 1). Everything OK. By default it comes at the top left corner of main flash. How to make it movable by cursor to any other place.
