Flash :: Php - Javascript - Pass Php $_GET To Player Xml File
Jun 3, 2011
I have a flash player embedded on page x.php?user=john using swfobject. The player calls the xml file content.php to get the results. in content.php i have $_GET['user']. I'm trying to get the user name from the url id and fetch results based on that. I'm however getting a 500 error. I don't think content.php is able to access the user variable. if i just put in the username "john" instead of $_GET['user'] then it works. How can i get this to work with $_GET['user']
I've got a flash player (using JWPlayer) that plays an audio file. The file plays fine. How do I provide the embed code for end-users to copy, so they can post the player and play the audio file on their own site directly? Should I be using HTML <pre> tags somewhere? Or JavaScript to generate the embed code / link?
i have created a silverlight application , but i need to embed it to a Flash file(swf) which it runs with Flash Player ( whithout using browser), I had found a solutions to call it using javascript, but it still needs my flash file run inside the browser, dose any one can help me, Either to run js inside swf (without need of browser) or any other way that i can embed my Silverlight application inside Flash.
I am looking for a flash mp3 player that will work within the Opera-based browser on the Wii. The player needs to be javascript enabled (support methods like play, stop etc.) The mp3 tracklist will be built dynamically using ajax on the same page as the player so it must trigger an event when a track finishes playing (or at least provide functionality of some kind to indicate that it's time to start the next track). Does anyone know of such a player?
i'm currently trying to call a javascript function and pass values to it. but i'm not really familiar in using the addcallback since i only tested on calling a function from flash without passing anything to the function.
Basically, i'm going to retrieve the values of a node from xml. and then i will assign those values to a variable in flash. now what i'm going to do next is pass this value to a javascript parameter..is it done using externalinterface?
I just need to throw the value to the javascript function parameter and no return values to the actionscript. The event is that whenever an image is click, the corresponding value for each image is passed to the javascript function.
I am attempting to get Flash - Javascript communication working using ExternalInterface.addCallback, using code found at http:[url].... I am trying to pass parameters into Flash using a javascript function, but it only works if I insert a 'window.alert' line into the code. Once I click OK, the parameter str is passed into Flash ok. The function is:
function sendToFlash(str) { if (str=="tools"){ window.alert(str); getFlashMovie("richFunctionality_corp").sendTextToFlash(str);[code]....
If I remove the window.alert, str isn't passed into Flash. Is this a browser speed thing? A value menu is passed out of Flash using getURL("index.php?pageID=239&menu=tools"), i.e. the page reloads and a php script sends the appropriate str value to the sendToFlash javascript function based upon the value of menu.
I'm trying to pass the geolocation over Javascript to Flash. The .SWF is embedded in a HTML site and set to AllowScriptAccess="always". For some reason the getGEO() function is not receiving the call.
I think this is fairly straight forward but my skills lie in JavaScript and Ruby rather than flash so I want to run this past a few other minds :) I have a flash file that will take pictures of the user via their web cam. I want to take that newly created image, base64 encode it then pass it to a JavaScript function. That JavaScript function will essentially take this data then embed it into a hidden form element on the page.
I am looking for a simple and straightfoward example of how I can pass the value of a variable into flash using javascript.Specifically, I'd like to use javascript to pass the filename of an external video file that I would like to load into my flash movie.I'd also like to call a function in the SWF that plays the movie once the filename as been passed to the flash movie.External Inferface looks like the way to goI've found a few decent AS2.0 examples, but converting them to AS3.0 has proven difficult and many of the examples are much too complex for what I am trying to do.
I need to execute some javascript string code from flash swf file using actionscript 3. I read that it could be done by passing the javascript code to the parent html document , using externalinterface.call function. Then I assume it will be faster if I can declare functions in the javascript code in the HTML document in the first use of externalinterface.call funtion ; if flash code calls the javascript code repeatedly. So let me ask you how to do that. For details , any javascript to be loaded is unknown in design time and I can not prepare a javascript file to be loaded.
Is it possible to pass file names from a running Flash application, which only purpose is to enable multiple-file-selection, to a JavaScript application which handles upload of all files to the server?I have examined various Flash upload solutions (like SWFUpload, Uploadify, etc.) and none of them meets my needs. I want an easy to implement solution (like Uploadify) which also lets me specify various parts of the HTTP request.
The reason I need this is because my upload form uses session cookies (for user authentication) and an CSRF token both passed to the server when uploading files.Is it technically possible to pass filenames (+ paths) to a JavaScript application which then handles the upload?
I'd like to call a javascript function from an embedded .swf file. Specifically, I'd like to call a function in one of my externally linked javascript files from within: function loadTrack(){
[Code]...
which is in an .as file which I assume somehow becomes the swf file. How would I go about this and 're-compile' the .as file?
Is it possible to pass flashvars to standalone flash player via the commandline? Among other reasons, I want to run some unit tests from the command line.
I have a flash file that contains a package "game" which has a class "Scores" and a method setValue(). I want to write some lines of Javascript that allow me to call that method. Someone directed me to this tutorial, but I am still a bit confused.
Javascript: alert("start"); var so; so = document.embeds[0]; so.addParam("allowScriptAccess","always"); import flash.external.ExternalInterface; ExternalInterface.call("setValue[2600]");
displays an alert to tell me that it has indeed began to execute saves the embedded flash file into a variable and sets access imports that class calls the method.I am not sure about how this class thing works? This is just the bits and pieces I was able to come up with from that site, but I don't really understand how it all works (but certainly hope to eventually).This is the site: http:[url]...how-do-i-access-flash-function-using-javascript.When I execute the code with the importation nothing happens, but the alert does come up when I don't have that statement?
I need to pass a variable from flash to a javascript on the same page. The javascript is called "ShowAjaxResult". How do i do this from flash. The variable comes from a textfield...
I have a flash application written in actionscript 2.0 that shows vector architectural maps and works perfectly on common web browsers. There are many interactions with javascript functions called by user events on the webpage, such as zooming to a certain x,y point. This event is usually accomplished via the mouse wheel.
Now I have to make sure that the thing works on tablet pc, in particular the Galaxy Tab. The first thing I have to fix is that, obviously, there is no mouse wheel and the user naturally tries to pinch zoom the flash application, with the result of zooming the entire web browser.
What I need is to listen to the multitouch gesture and, when a pinch zoom event is called, disable the default zooming event and call a javascript/flash function that allows my flash app to zoom only the objects that need to be zoomed: in few words, the browser stays still and only a part of the flash zooms in or out.
I already have working javascript functions to call flash object functions for the zooming purpose, so I just need to connect them to some android things that tell me when the user tries to pinch zoom in and when he tries to pinch zoom out (and possibly the x,y point of zoom).
While the question may seem fairly basic I seem to be at a loss to actually find anything that fits my needs, which are:
Skinnable (although not 100% required) Controllable through javascript (start, stop, change track)Event triggers for custom functions (on track finish mainly) Actual documentation - rather that 'it can do this, but we wont tell you how' I've tried many of the free and quite a few demo's of the pay for ones. Wimpy Wasp seemed to be the closest to what I need but there is an obsession there with using a custom Windows app to set it up which is impossible as the files are provided dynamically by the sites users and it doesn't look like they want you to be able to create the code yourself.
how to pass variables from one Movie clip's AS file to my Main AS file. Let say my Movieclip's AS file is calling damage = 1; so how the Main AS file retrieve the damage value from the Movieclip's AS?
Code: public class robotMC extends MovieClip { public function robotMC() {
I need to capture the event raised when a flash video ends. If possible, I'd like to distinguish this from a user clicking the stop button.
One thing to be made perfectly clear:
I DON'T HAVE CONTROL OVER THE PRESENTATIONS OR THE SWF FILES.
What I'm looking for is simple (I thought) js automation of the client player object, not more complex interactivity with the presentation itself. I thought this would be really simple stuff, but a dozen Google and Bing searches later, I can't find anything about it.
I am currently working on a Flash game. In order to ensure the user experience is consistent, I tried to specify the swfVersion and called "swfobject.embedSWF()" using the following code segment.
PD.prototype.loadGame=function(){ var flashvars=this.bootData; var swfVersion = "11.0.1.152";
I am trying to access a javascript function through flash player and the code is working for twitter. But in case of facebook, when i post the swf file and try to access the code, the flash player doesn't work. I think there is a problem of script access. But i have set the code:allow script access to alwaysin the php file where i embedd the flash player. But in case of facebook i am unable to embedd my php file. So, is there any way by which i can set allow script access to my swf file in facebook?
Can I dispatch events from javascript to flash player? I am trying to do so by calling dispatchEvent() on flash player dom object but the event is not passing inside flash player.
