Flash :: Possible To Use FFMPEG To Generate F4V Videos?
Dec 27, 2011
I need to generate a script that converts videos to F4V's for use with Flash Media Server 4.5...is this possible? I have it converting files to MP4s and then swapping the extension. This works fine, but seems like a dirty work around. I'd prefer to use a generate a true F4V. I've heard mixed things on whether or not ffmpeg truly supports F4Vs
I am trying the following to record a live video from my Flash/AIR application: I take a "screenshot" (BitmapData from stage) each frame. I convert each pixel to yuv format like this (V2):
[Code]...
I'm not really a codec expert (just starting ;)), so I don't know what to make of most of that. Here is a zip that contains one of the frames and the video output. What should be visible is a green smiling pear, without any artifacts. Remember the size is 600x700 and the format yuv420. Best to view such raw image files with irfanview, IMO. Don't mind the noise, its from pushing against my microphone ;)
Need to convert flv files to avi or mov, trying out ffmpeg but the output quality is terrible. How can I get the video output to be on par quality with the source? I thought ffmpeg -i name.flv -s 320x... name.avi would do it, but no good.
I want to capture audio from the mic and stream it to ffmpeg which takes it to RTP and to the end client. I wanted to know how do I stream audio from flash to ffmpeg? Is it possible? Do i use netstream and will it work when connecting to ffmpeg?
I'm using ffmpeg on Windows to create mp4 files for web distribution. As libfaac isn't available, I use libmp3lame to encode the audio tracks. The mp4 are played back with a falsh player (JWPlayer).I was wondering if there were any shortcomings to use mp3 instead of aac on certain devices?
I want to use ffmpeg to convert swf to png ,and I can't extract image from some kind of swf like: [URL] and I use this code in bat file(1.bat) cws2fws Movie1.swf 3.swf ffmpeg -i 3.swf -f image2 -vcodec png tese%d.png I only want to convert swf to image.
Can I add actionscript when I make a swf using ffmpeg?[code]It creates a swf with my video. I now want to check if it is a certain date with actionscript. If it is then I want to display some actionscript code (sprite with textfield saying it has expired and not play video). Is this possible?
I'm having a reliability problem with publishing live, h.264 streams from FFMPEG (using the rtmp publish ability now built into FFMPEG, where I can set an rtmp address as the output). After a random period of time (usually between an hour and several hours), the default "live" application in FMS 4 (or 3.5) eventually drops the connection from the FFMPEG encoder. This is what appears in the log for the application:"Dropping application (live/_definst_) message. Clients not allowed to broadcast message."After googling the error, I discovered that people have been reporting this error for several years, but there has not been a single response from any FMS experts or Adobe about what causes the error.
I need to create some sort of video-editor for dummies, which has to generate a video file as output. The editor has to load a movie-file scale and rotate it to a certain degree, and generate a composite video of a background bitmap and the rotated and placed video. The frontend will be done in Flash/AS3 and has to use some background tools for processing the video. Can I use FFmpeg to generate such a composite? Or is there any other good background task available?
We just shipped Xuggler 3.4 this weekend which now has the ability to record and publish RTMP streams. That means you can now write Xuggler (a Java API for encoding and decoding video) programs that can publish to FMS or record from FMS.
We've worked closely with the FFmpeg team to get the core RTMP stack into that project, and have put together a tutorial on how to use FFmpeg to record or publish streams, including re-encoding media to H264/AAC while publishing.
I am trying to create an image gallery similar to Androids "Gallery" where it is a horizontal scrolling list of images. I am doing this with an HBox and Bitmap objects wrapped in a UIComponent. The problem is I am trying to do this for mobile and having many full size images open in memory causes problems. I have been trying to have the images load right as they are scrolling into view and unload once they are out of view, but the loading/unloading while scrolling requires too much cpu and causes a very choppy and poor UI. What I am looking to do is be able to load several low quality versions of the images in memory so I dont have to do as much loading/unloading. I have tried decreasing the height/width but it dosnt seem to have an effect on memory usage.
is there any sample on using array bitmapdata to record video from webcam and generate flash movieclip file? i want to record sound as well without using red5/flash streaming server

XFL's DOMBitmapItem tag has attribute itemID. What is safe way how to generate such an ID if I want to add new media items from external tool? The example of itemIDs looks like:
I've been giving a application to work on that uses a Java EE application for the backend, Flash for the front end, and BlazeDS to connect the two. I have never used Flash or BlazeDS, and am trying to get my head around how BlazeDS works.
So far, I understand that when you connect to BlazeDS in FlashBuilder, the remoting-config.xml file is scanned to determine what services exist on the Java end. FlashBuilder asks which of these services you want to import, and what "service package" and "data type package" you want to use.
When you select your Java ExampleService, BlazeDS will create _Super_ExampleService.as and ExampleService.as and put them in your "service package" location. ExampleService.as is empty but extends _Super_ExampleService.as (which basically is a Flash service that you can use to call the methods in your Java service). If you need to add extra methods, you would add them to ExampleService.as. (Hopefully this is all correct, please correct me if I'm wrong)
My problem is I cannot figure out what BlazeDS does for value objects. When you select ExampleService in FlashBuilder (let's assume it's a service for the Example entity), what value objects does BlazeDS create? I would expect Example.as and _SuperExample.as. However, _ExampleEntityMetadata.as also appears.
I need to generate random numbers between 1 and 20 with a heavy emphasis on the one between 1 and 5, a light emphasis on 5-10, and a low emphasis on 10-20. I don't understand all the fancy probability words and all the stuff they say in the articles I've come across.
When i import a video into my flash document i choose one of the premade skins in flash and when im in the design view i can see it. However when i publish the file as a swf or .exe the skin either disapears or just doesn't work.I have managed to get a skin that stays when i publish however the play, rewind and fast forward buttons don't work. However the seek and volume ones do. Im am currently using flash cs4 and actionscript 2
im getting really frustrated because i can not watch any of the NHL videos on [url]......i have the latest FLASH plugin but i just get a black screen when trying to view a video. Im running vista.
We would like to display flash video files (tutorials) on our Sharepoint site.Problem is, we cannot seem to either stop it from auto-playing (using the Windows Media Player) or start it playing by clicking (using flash embed). We have a Content Editor WebPart with this code currently:
I have some FLV videos was to play on web (play in a flash player, e.g. JWPlayer). How can I protect it? I do not want someone else to download these videos. The videos was high secret! Only allow play on my website.
I have Adobe Flash CS5 but haven't a clue how to convert videos. I also got out my install disks and added Adobe After Effects with Media Encoder as well. Though I thought there would be a standalone Media Encoder app... I cannot seem to find it.

I need to find a way how to put the showreel into the website, the website is being done using flash.does anyone know how to add .swf videos in flash??
