Flash :: Update Mouse Position Durng FLVPlayback?

Nov 4, 2011

How would you randomly move the mouse 1px while my FLVPlayback is running and stop moving the mouse when the movie ends?I was thinking of using an eventListener that while playing the flv runs a funtion that updates the mouse x and y randomly. But when the move Completes it removes the moveNouse listener.

my_flv.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, removeMouseMove);
my_flv.addEventListener(Event.PLAYHEADUPDATE, moveMouse);
function moveMouse(){

Flash 10.2 :: Update Hardware Mouse Cursor Immediately, Before Mouse Move?

Mar 13, 2012

As of Flash 10.2, Flash supports hardware accelerated mouse cursors:[URL]..Unfortunately, the mouse cursor doesn't update until AFTER the mouse moves. You can see this behavior on the web page above. If you click "Set to custom cursor" in the sample app at the bottom of the article, you'll see that the cursor doesn't change until you move the mouse.

Anyone have a trick for updating the mouse cursor immediately, before the user moves the mouse? I tried doing Mouse.hide(); Mouse.show(); but that doesn't work.

Actionscript 3 :: Keyframe In Flash Fail To Update An Object's Position?

Apr 3, 2012

I have a background MovieClip in a custom button class, which moves the play head to a different frame (via gotoAndStop("framename")) depending on which mouse events it receives.
When the mouse up event is received, it sends the play head back to the "release" frame, where the background should shift back to its original location, but instead nothing happens and the background remains where it was.It's as though Flash is not honoring the background's position defined by the key frame it enters.

The only workaround is to add a frame script to each frame which manually sets the x and y position to what it should be, but this defeats the purpose of using keyframes for the position.

ActionScript 3.0 :: FLVPlayback Live Update Scrubber?

Nov 25, 2010

I am building a video player using FLVPlayback and some custom controls (AS3). At the moment when you click the thumb in the progress bar the video pauses and you can drag to a new position on the track and resume playing from there when you release the thumb (this is done using FLVPlayback.seekPercent()).I need to update this so that as you are dragging the video is constantly updating to the correct frame.

I tried using the working that fires on release and calling it on enterframe while the thumb is dragging and everything went wrong. I can't see any reason for this to be a problem and the code so far is pretty straight forward.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Save A Video's Position Using The FLVPlayback Component?

Feb 8, 2010

I've got a video I'd like people to be able to navigate away from in my project, but resume where it left off if they come back to it.  I would think I could do this by just saving its current position when they exit that frame as a variable and then using .seek() to go back to that spot if/when they return.

The only problem is that I can't find any script to capture the current position.  I tried .time, but it gives me an error.

The font for the text is 'courier' or 'courier new' and the Input Text area is scrollable.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Possible To Set Mouse Position In Flash?

Sep 23, 2010

I've had a brief look around but couldn't find anything on this. I'm wondering if it is possible in flash ( I use CS3/AS3) to set the mouse position in the window, mouseX and all that are just read-only. Moving the cursor off the screen can become quite a problem for the game I'm making, so for example I'd like to be able to snap the cursor position to the centre.

Flash :: Professional - Update Via SCUP - The Client Is Not Supposed To Be Interfered With The Update Progress

Nov 17, 2011

I am deploying Updates via SCUP and SCCM to hundreds of Computers. Fortunately Adobe provides an SCCM Update Catalog for both Adobe Flash ActiveX and Adobe Flash Plugin. But now my Problem: After publishing the Update via SCCM, the client is not supposed to be interfered with the Update Progress (which is working) I figured the Updater works like this: First SCCM checks if a Update needs to be deployed, if this is the case, The Flash Updater begins. First the old Flash Version is beeing uninstalled. But now: if the Client has a Browser Window (IE, or Firefox) open, the Updater is not able to install the new Flash Version and quits with an Error. This leaves the Client PC without any Flash (because its being uninstalled before) How can I prevent Flash being uninstalled due to the Update progress not working while a Browser window is open?

Flash :: Ease Rotation And Position Of MovieClip To Mouse?

Jun 25, 2010

Essentially what I'm trying to do is nearly the same as this: http:[url].......However I'd like to ease/tween the movieclip position and rotation to the mouse position.The main issue I see is trying to get the current movieclip rotation and the target rotation,then tween it cockwise or counterclockwise from current to target.The way a movieclips rotation uses positive and negative numbers throws it off.If you just want to lock the mc rotation to the mouse rotation its fine, but once you try to tween it you run into difficulties. So the end effect would be like if you were to draw imaginary clockwise circles around the object, it should just keep rotating clockwise towards the mouse. Then if you started going counter clockwise it should just keep easing counter clockwise to the mouse.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Zoom To Mouse Position Using Mouse Wheel?

Mar 9, 2010

Code:

addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_WHEEL,mouseWheel);
function mouseWheel(event:MouseEvent) {
Map.scaleX = Map.scaleX + event.delta*.01;
Map.scaleY = Map.scaleX;
}

The problem with this code is that it scales from the registration point (0,0). Due to the other transformations I'm doing to this image at various times, it isn't possible to move the registration point. The image is larger than the stage and the user is able to drag it around. I want the mouse wheel to zoom in on the place the mouse is hovering over (or at a minimum...the center of the "view" they have...aka the stage)I tried doing this:

Code:
internalPoint = new Point(Map.mouseX, Map.mouseY);
externalPoint = new Point(stage.mouseX, stage.mouseY);
var matrix:Matrix = Map.transform.matrix;

[code]....

Which, incidentally, I'm using that whole portion of code to zoom into the state they will be in when they use the mouse wheel.

IDE :: Update All Mc's - Add Mouse Event To Them?

I have a large set of movie clips of countries, now I want to add mouse event to them, but I don't want to go in each and every mc and add for insyance a on (press). I've used a forloop to edit the color, but not quite sure how to do it to trigger a mouse event.

As I'm in the middle of developing, things might change (how I want the mouse event to react) so I would rather update the mc's with a mouse event that triggers one function so I only need to edit that to control the behavior of those country mc's.

ActionScript 2.0 :: [Flash CS3] Move A Movieclip Based On Mouse X Position

Feb 11, 2009

I need to move a movieclip based on mouse x position. Like this site [URL] - Which I built using a flashloaded app, but I need more control in this project so I'd like to code it without the app. Basically, I have an image of a boy (left) and a girl (right) and I want to move the boy slightly toward the girl when the mouse goes right and slightly away when the mouse goes left. But only about 25-50 pixels in each direction.

I've cobbled some code together from google searching and rough ideas, and it works in a way, but the boy jumps about 400 pixels to the left on the initial mouse move and then floats a bit too far right and left from there. Here's what I've got on the boyMC:

Flash :: Javascript - Tracking Mouse Position After Click-and-drag (down-and-move), Even Outside The Stage / Browser?

Feb 17, 2011

What's the correct way to track mouse position, from Adobe Flash, when someone has: Started a drag within the Flash application (a MOUSE_DOWN event), Dragged the mouse outside the app or even the browser window (a MOUSE_MOVE event), and Released the mouse button (a MOUSE_UP event)? For example (imagine Stack Overflow is a Flash application):

Within the app, I'm able to track the mouse X and Y positions with a MOUSE_MOVE event listener, but I lose it when it goes outside of the browser... So, how do I track the position of the mouse no matter where it goes? For a good example, try Google Finance. Try dragging the chart around; it'll still drag around if you move your mouse out of the browser window, and the mouse will be outside of the browser when you release it.

Also, check out KOKO KAKA; If you click on the scrollbar (make the browser window really small) and move outside of the browser window, the scroll bar moves just like a real one would. I believe both only work because the MOUSE_DOWN event "captures" the mouse, allowing the Flash application to track the position of the mouse even when it is outside of the browser.

Flex :: Update Datagrid Automatically In Actionscript Without Mouse Events?

Jun 25, 2011

Im working with a flex application that pulls data from a java class file using message handler event. The received message string is added to ArrayCollection. The string consists of codeID and other values related to codeID. Had displayed the detail in a datagrid. The codeID is randomly generated and is pushed to flex for every second. Now, the problem is, I needa update the datagrid cell values, for instance, if i have pushed codeID's of (0001,0007,0005,0003) to the front end, that displays the corresponding values of each codeID in the datagrid, second instance of (0001) should update records in the existing row of (0001). I tried to check the existence of codeID in ArrayCollection using search algorithm, but dont know how to proceed further.

I understand how to alighn this with x/y positioning but when i preview the flash in a web browser it is positioned correctly but then when i 'full screen' the browser this clip jumps about 4 inches down the page.
