Flash :: Professional - Update Via SCUP - The Client Is Not Supposed To Be Interfered With The Update Progress
Nov 17, 2011
I am deploying Updates via SCUP and SCCM to hundreds of Computers. Fortunately Adobe provides an SCCM Update Catalog for both Adobe Flash ActiveX and Adobe Flash Plugin. But now my Problem: After publishing the Update via SCCM, the client is not supposed to be interfered with the Update Progress (which is working) I figured the Updater works like this: First SCCM checks if a Update needs to be deployed, if this is the case, The Flash Updater begins. First the old Flash Version is beeing uninstalled. But now: if the Client has a Browser Window (IE, or Firefox) open, the Updater is not able to install the new Flash Version and quits with an Error. This leaves the Client PC without any Flash (because its being uninstalled before) How can I prevent Flash being uninstalled due to the Update progress not working while a Browser window is open?
I am using a nested template by following the normal practice of creating a template, which I will call "core" and then creating a page from that template and saving it as a "nested" template. So far so good, except, when I update the "core" template, it only updates the .dwt template files that I created from the core template. It doesn't update any of my content pages that were created from the "nested" templates, that were of course based on the core template. I can go into each nested template and then it updates the corresponding pages, but it just seems like updating the core should do all associated nested templates. Is this the way it is supposed to work?
I've got a movieclip, which has got a dynamic text element. The movieclip uses a package for its codeThe package if obviously derived from the MovieClip classI've got a timer, that updates the dynamic text field every second. When debugging the code, I see that the timer works well. Its updates the value of the dynamic text field.
I am making a site for a tattooist and they need to update the gallery of tattoo images (jpg) about 4 or 6 times a year. I am making it in flash mx.I thought back to things i'd heard about and came to the conclusion that xml might be the best way with this - so the client can open a text file and change the image name and then upload the image as needed to the server.
how we can update the Flash IDE player, or the player used when testing a movie (sometimes called the Test Movie player)? In the case of CS3, when you download the latest sets of players and replace the "Players" folder, you'll still test the movie in version 9,0,115,0 As you might know, this player version has a bug: When loading an AS2 movie that has a MovieClipLoader into an AS3 movie, the AS2 movie's eventListeners for the MovieClipLoader fail.
I have the CS4 Creative Suite, I just got done checking for updates msg and downloaded all.
Dreamweaver, Acrobat and all others were installed but for some reason Flash is still at 10.0 I downloaded manually as well and still I'm on build 10.0.0.544
I was wondering if anyone knows whether you can update flash display ads dynamically in real-time without having to create a new flash ads? Example being changing text or graphics within an ad without having to make a new one and uploading it to the ad server over and over again. I imagine some sort of actionscript would be involved
So Flash CS5 came with a beta version of Flash Player 10.1.Now that the official release of Flash Player 10.1 is released, how do I update what Flash CS5 uses when I Test Movie?I have so far updated the Flash Player in my browser and my standalone players but I can't seem to figure out how to update the Player that Flash CS5 uses. This wouldn't be so bad if the beta of 10.1 wasn't breaking my project because of bugs.
I'm have Flash CS5 trial on windows 7, I want to install the updates but I get "Install Failed" without any other information.First I tried to install 11.02 which failed, so I tried to install 11.01 which finished with message "Done with errors"
I am using linux and can not find out how to update my flash player. Everywhere I go says to find such and such file and remove it or something but I do not know linux very well.
how to go about getting the Flash Player(s) that's built into the CS5 IDE updated? According to System.capabilities.version, it's running v10.1.52.14 which, according to this page on the Adobe site, says was a pre-release version of Flash Player and should not be used! It also seems to have an annoying bug where HTML tags are frequently shown as raw HTML, rather than being rendered, which makes testing stuff in the IDE a real pain.
After updating to the latest version of Flash (10.2.152.26), our web application began crashing. The application is written using Flex.I'm using Windows 7 (32-bit), but it has crashed on Windows Vista (32-bit) as well. It crashes on IE8, Firefox 3.6, and Chrome 9.However, it does not crash when using the debug version of the Flash Player.I've tried enabling and disabling the hardware acceleration. I've also updated my video drivers to the latest version. The Event Viewer shows the following when IE crashes:
The update to Flash 10.1 kills my cross-domain. Formerly, my file looked like this:
<?xml version="1.0"?><!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM "http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd"><cross-domain-policy>[code]......
I updated to this based on what I read on this site:
<?xml version="1.0"?><!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM [code].....
We are using SAP Business Objects Xcelsius, which creates the .swf file that users are using to access our environment. So, I do not have any control over the code base itself.
I have this issue where I'm incapable of viewing any text in the chatlog box, the text entry line, the userlist, or the pop-up Flashplayer option menus when using [URL] online chat application. The pop-up Flashplayer option menus do have outlines for buttons as well as having icons in the bottom-row of buttons yet lack text completely.
***Re-install as officially directed by the site did *not* work even after several iterations. This is becoming a nuisance.
This began after the installation of the latest version of Flash Player about two weeks ago (I've been busy )
operating system: 32-bit web browser/version: Firefox 3.6.3 Flash Player version: 10.1
I know there currently some ways to install the sdk for Air 3 and flash player 11. But when will there be an update the installs these key elements in a professional an clean way? Is the an offical date for when an flash cs5.5 update will install the new sdks?
has the whole "roundtrip" feature been left out of Flash Professional CS5.5 when it comes to imported, layered PSD files? Is the only answered to crop down and save a single .png layer out of the orginial PSD file?
I have a flash application that needs to send a http request to the server which will disconnect the existing session immediately. I have a tried a few options but none is reliable.Option #1: On "onbeforeunload" event send a http request from inside the flash applications. Fallacy: This does not work because as soon as the browser is closed the flash player unloads the app and hence the communication breaks.Option #2: On "onbeforeunload" event send a http request using XMLHTTPRequest in ajax. This works fine in IE but doesnt work in Firefox. When i debugged the http req in httpfox it threw "NS_BINDING_ABORTED" error which i think means that request was cancelled due to page unload.
I download Flash CS5 and I try to execute it without an error message coming in and basically the program does not start. The message goes as follows:
Flash.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point ?ik_treelsActive@CFlashIK@@QAE_NJ@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library FlashIK.dll.So then I tried to install the updates via the website and the AdobePatchInstaller.exe and I get this:
Some updates failed to install.
Update is not applicable.
So here I am unable to start Flash CS5. Anyone know a way to fix this issue?
aside from using ICE, is there a way for someone to update a flash site with pictures and text who doesn't have flsah installed on their computer? i.e., how can you add as well as replace additional text and image files without doing it in flash and publishing a swf file everytime?
Will flash CS5 get an update which will allow it to create .APK files for the android platform, like it was supposed to be able to do for iPhone?(before apple denied that kind ofdevelopment)
That would be a dream come true and would be a really good reason to upgrade to a CS5 license after the trialperiod is over.
As I understand the file c:WINDOWSsystem32MacromedFlashNPSWF32.dll is part of the Flash? When updating flash I expect this file to be updated as well as the Flash10*.ocx file? (my current version is that latest Flash10l.ocx)For some reason this is not happening.Question: How can I update my NPSWF32.dll file to the newest version? (My current version is 10.1.85.3 which is reported bto be insecure)
I have an .fla file where I'm trying to change some of the links. Say it currently goes to index-1.html and I want to change to aboutus.html.
I can't seem to locate where the actual link designation is .. from the documentation on Flash forums it should be in Actions, however I can't seem to find it.
Why didn't my Flash version change after I invoked the update alert on 08/12/10. I had V 10.1.53.64 and your website shows the latest recommended to be V 10.1.82.76. After the update it shows mine still unchanged.
My system particulars are: XP SP2 32 bit IE V6.0.2900 32 bit
I made changes to the file and attempted to load it into my browser (IE) but it only loads the file from before I made the changes. I published the file and even cleared my cache. I double checked the location and it looks fine.
I'm trying to utilize the Learning Interactions in the Library of Flash CS4 included in the Adobe E-Learning Suite.I'm able to change the individual componens' properties (radio button, submit button) etc. using the component inspector, but cannot determine how to change the properties of the movie clip for items such as correct answer, etc.Has anyone used these Learning Interaction library items, and knows how to update the components to work properly?
I'm new to Flash and PHP. I'm using the FlashBuilder with PHP product. I have a data grid that is connected to a PHP script that retrieves and updates data via the 'Enable Data Management' function. If I modify data on the grid by using the screen and call .commit(), everything works OK.
However I would like to programmatically change some of the values in the data that underly the grid and have those changes get back to the update function in the PHP script when commit(). is called. But I can't figure out how to change the underlying data.
Here's the code I've tried: (the object that I pass back and forth to the PHP script is call MailPiece. I want to set the WORKORDERNUMBER field on each row of the data)
I have at least one user that has received an "Adobe Security Updates" e-mail from Adobe stating, "A critical vulnerability has been identiied in Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Reader". I say at least one user because only one user has forwarded this message to my CIO.Now I know that my user is not running the latest version of these two applications.I can fix that. What I want to know is, why is he getting this e-mail?Anyone know who at Adobe I should contact to find out why?Is this because Adobe somehow knows that he's not running the most current version?Or is it just something that Adobe sent out because it seemed like a good idea at the time.
I push Adobe Flash Player, Adobe Shockware Player, and Adobe Reader when I install Windows 7, and autoupdates are disabled as part of the installation process.I'd rather handle the patching myself so I have a better feel for what is going on across my network. This user was upgraded from Adobe Acrobat 9.x to 10.x.That upgrade was performed manually be someone else.I wonder if THAT is why my uses is receiving this email?
I am a learning programmer who is trying to do some simple experiments. However, when I go to change my code, the exported SWF never updates; it simply tests an older version of whatever I am testing. The only way for me to fix this is by restarting Flash, which is not ideal in any way.BTW I am using Flash CS5.5, if that means anything.
