I have AIR application and mx:Label with htmlText property [URL]. For some reason nothing happens when I click it. It works in not-AIR application, but does not in AIR one.

Can I control the context menu for a link displayed inside of the htmlText of a mx:TextArea?

This is a dynamic text field so I guess I could use a movie clip and put an action on that but I'm not sure where it would end so I'd have to put in the movie clip dynamically and then if I do that I'm not sure how to put the action on it.

I want to sort the array on the "linkvalue." Is there a way to do this with Array sortOn or something similar. I prefer not to have to do this with a bunch of arrays and iterations.

This is not opening the popup (glossary.html) and im not sure why.
PS: This javascript works perfectly fine when accessed by a regular html link on the web page.
I am trying to fix this problem. My external text display fine and also the CSS. The problem is when I am using any tag in html like <a> doesn't work, doesn't try to open the link and also the mouse doesn't change to the default hand. I am attaching my code in AS3. View 11 RepliesI have a dynamic text field which loads html. In the html there are links at various points. In the file I am using a custom cursor whenever the mouse is over the swf. The issue is that despite my setting Mouse.hide(), in Windows (FF and IE) the standard hand cursor shows over the top of my custom cursor when I hover over one of the links.
I know that the htmlText field only supports CSS1, so using any reference to the mouse in the CSS is futile. Additionally, due to the nature of the html going into the text field, I can never rightly guess where a link would physically be to set up some sort of work around. In all of my research, the only references to the problem refer to the Mac FF and Safari having bugs that prevent the hand cursor from being shown (to me this is counter intuitive, it seems that when Mouse.hide() is enacted that none of the system cursors should show, no?).

Making buttons that open another url is easy enough, but for some reason I'm having a huge amount of trouble having a navigation button open new content on my website, such as moving from the Home content to the Menu content (the layout is static, only one small section filled with content changes.
I think the issue is that I can't figure out how to code it due to the fact that there are a good amount of nested movie clips, I'm not sure how to direct it to the place and frame I want.

I used flash banner at html page in a iframe. But when I clicked at another navigation link (like index to contact page). flash reloads. & it takes time for low bandwidth user. Is there any solution that, i can go at any page without refresh whole page...(not reload flash). I don't want to reload flash when I click at another link.
View 1 RepliesI installed a flash template. It has navigation buttons with a nice roll-over effect. The buttons are all located within a symbol called "menu" (it is a Movie Clip type symbol, not a Button type). Each individual button in the menu appear to be in its own separate layer, so the first button is in a layer called "item1, second button in "item2", and so on. I want to edit the link for the fourth button so it goes to another website but I can't seem to find the code to edit the link. I managed to find

and this does work - upon pressing the button it goes to the website link. However, there is no more roll-over effect for this button. So there has to be an alternative or better way to editing the link for this button (without removing the roll-over effect).

View 1 RepliesThis bug is hard to describe, but easily reproduced with the bottom code. Just copy, paste, and compile+run in Flex 3 and you'll see the problem.

I am working as a developer on a Flex/Air application and we are using the buggy Flex RTE (RichTextEditor) to let the user manage his notes. At the moment I am trying to evaluate how costly it would be for us to build a new text component using the TLF (Text Layout Framework).Really important is the question if we can import the HTML text, produced by the RTE straight away. I know that there are some limitations regarding lists with TLF 1.1, but does it work in general?

I'm having this problem of adding an image to the textArea in RichTextEditor (RTE) on the fly and this image seems to "reset" the html properties of the textArea.
Better explained:
The user starts writing something in the TextArea (with Verdana in size:12 font settings). When he adds an image to the text area, the cursor right after the image gets very small and the font settings are reset to HUM777B in size:2.
How could I avoid this behavior?
It seems Flex adds additional HTML code before the image tag. If there was any way to avoid this I would be able to add my own settings to the tags.
I need hand cursor to appear on roll over spark Label. I've tried useHandCursor + buttonMode properties, but no result. And is there anything like htmlText property for spark Label (I need underline)?

Is this a known problem in Flex?I've done a simple case and I've found out that I get this problem when the htmlText is inside a TabNavigator object. If it's outside it works as expected.

View 1 RepliesI can see that when I set htmlText in a textarea control, the text property contains the html free version of the text. So there is a parser somewhere that is ripping of html from the content, which would be very usefull for my purposes.
However, based on the flex source code, the setting of html is done in UITextField.as, which is the type of the textfield member of TextArea. The line that does the work is:

It appears the functionality I am after is in flash player. So is there any way of accessing this html cleaning function?

If you are using Flex 3.5 (not my choice) and you scroll the mousewheel over a Text component with multiple lines of htmlText, it will scroll down 1 (sometimes 2) lines, even [URL] I made sure there is not a blank line below the body of text (it ended after the closing). Notice how the top line is now cut off, and an extra line was added at the bottom.
