Nov 21, 2009In actionscript, when I click a button I would like the label to replace from "add to list" to "added" without override with super method.
Is this even possible to change label in repeater?

Jun 2, 2010I have a Flex repeater that has a complex item template. When a checkbox is clicked, I need to toggle the visibility of a sibling button contained in the same repeater template. Since I can't add binding expressions to event handlers, I can't pass in the repeater item's index.
How can I access sibling components inside a repeater item?

Change Child Component In Another In A Repeater?
Nov 10, 2010I have a custom component in a repeater. This component has a child component which can be of two types depending on some conditions. [coed]...
When I place breakpoints in the functions called at creationComplete, I can see that the component assigned to placeHolder is correct but it does not show on my display. I tried refreshing by calling invalidateDisplayList in every place I can think of but it does not seem to work.

Mar 21, 2010i create a form for order a item in flex. i use <mx:TextInput /> for getting the information from client and use a <mx:Button /> for submit the information in database. But client requirements is when user click on button then first show a confirmation page with details information that client give. But can't use another page or <mx:TextInput /> in this confirmation page, it will be <mx:Label />. After show the confirmation page if clients click on Button then submit the info. How can i convert a <mx:TextInput /> into <mx:Label /> with all properties in flex? Is it possible?

Actionscript 3 :: Change Label Color On Button States (FLex 4)
Mar 11, 2011I have a button in my application and I want it to respond a bit in a special way. Initially the label color of the button is White, I want the color of the text to change to 50% white on the Over State and to 25% on the Down state. Is this possible?
I tried an alternative way using css which does not do the percentage stuff but only changes the color (see css code below), but this does not seem to work. I more specifically want the color to change in terms of percentage like I mentioned above.
Note that I am using the Skin file only to loads images for each state on the button.

Jul 12, 2011I have an xml file that has a start date and length of a project... I use a repeater to load each project. The users' screen only shows 2 weeks at a time. I would like to make it so that if a project doesn't fall within the two weeks on screen, that the project isn't loaded. I could do this by sorting through the XML and finding the correct projects to load, and putting them into an array collection, but there's a "move date" button which allows the user to change the two weeks that are showed. Once the two weeks are changed, I would need the projects that fit into that new 2 week window to show.

the dataProvider 'data' updated itself every 3 seconds, so every 3 seconds that is a flicker of some sort, i see for a really short time an empty area and then it gets redrawn again. is there a way to make the update somewhat faster ?

Apr 26, 2011I trying to import an XML file, and send bits and pieces to a custom component. My XML file is structured like this:

When I save the project, I do not get any errors or warnings. However, when I attempt to output the values in the component, the projectPositions piece comes back as Null.

May 23, 2011Within a child, I have an XML element with the following structure:[code]I then use a repeater to list each out onto the screen. There's a button I have created that is used to create a position. So, once the user clicks this button, I call the following function:[code]The above function creates a new XML object, puts some default values in, and appends it to the list of project positions. After appending the new information, I made the height of the project larger and then check to make sure the new project height isn't overlapping any other projects... but that information is irrelevant to this post.My problem is this - once i append a new child to the XML variable, it doesn't appear on the screen. Is there a "refresh" or "re-render" option i can do to the repeater in order to make the new child show?[code]Once i make the changes, and use the XMLListCollection as the dataprovider in the repeater, the information no longer loads on the screen.
