Sep 2, 2011How do you remove the header row from a Spark DataGrid? MX DataGrid had the attribute "showHeaders" but this doesn't seem to be present in the Spark DataGrid.
This seems like it should be a very easy task, so either I'm extremely dense or just missing something? Do I have to create a custom skin for my DataGrid and remove the header parts? That seems like overkill or is it the Flex / Spark way?

Jan 10, 2011By default, whenever you rollOver/mouseOver (not sure of the difference) an item in a Datagrid or a List, that item is highlighted with the component's rollOverColor.I'm just wondering if there's any way to do that programmatically. I haven't been able to find much help on the issue. For example,suppose I have two DataGrids.When I rollOver an item in the first DataGrid, I want to highlight the corresponding index in the second one as well.Basically, as if two separate cursors were rollOver'ing two separate DataGrids.

Flex :: Use Custom Background Skin On Datagrid Header For Currently Sorted Column
Apr 26, 2011I use a flex mx:datagrid. I can set the headerBackgroundSkin to specify a skin or a picture to be displayed in all datagrid column's headers and it works just fine !
The problem is I can't find any way to specify a custom skin for the currently sorted column (doesn't matter if the sort is asc or desc, this is just to show the user which column is currently sorted).
I also tried to create a custom headerRenderer for each column but it is quite complicated and doesn't work very well.
I have been looking for the solution for a while but I can't find a good approach to do it. It sounds like a very basic need for me...incredible it is so complicated to achieve with Flex !!

My datagrid headertext names are "name" "age" "rollno" "image", where image also will be loading externally thru an xml file. now when i am pressing the deleteRow button, whole row is getting deleted but an image icon is still appearing under "image" headertext. It was not an actual image but a blank image icon kind of thing is appearing, how to remove the icon. i want my whole row to be deleted. but its not happening.

Mar 6, 2011I have a basic mouseover in my flex application which changes an image onmouseover and changes it back onmouseout using the code mouse Over "functionToChangeImageSource()" and another one to mouseout.It works fine when you slowly mouse over and out, however if I quickly move the mouse over it, it occasionally stays on the mouseover image and the mouseout function doesnt appear to kick in. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or does anyone have any ideas why its happening?Also, I've tried the rollOver and rollOut instead but it has the same problem.[code]I'd imagine you're correct about the mouseover event not completing before mouseout is but how to I fix this?
