How can I make datagrid height is equal to data content in Adobe Flex however suggested answers did not work for me.The blank row at the end of the DataGrid does not display at first, until I begin editing editing the last row, at which the entire grid is immediately pushed upwards, making the top row disappear and the blank bottom row reappear.

My datagrid headertext names are "name" "age" "rollno" "image", where image also will be loading externally thru an xml file. now when i am pressing the deleteRow button, whole row is getting deleted but an image icon is still appearing under "image" headertext. It was not an actual image but a blank image icon kind of thing is appearing, how to remove the icon. i want my whole row to be deleted. but its not happening.

View 5 RepliesHow do you remove the header row from a Spark DataGrid? MX DataGrid had the attribute "showHeaders" but this doesn't seem to be present in the Spark DataGrid.
This seems like it should be a very easy task, so either I'm extremely dense or just missing something? Do I have to create a custom skin for my DataGrid and remove the header parts? That seems like overkill or is it the Flex / Spark way?

View 1 RepliesI am working on a problem since a week soon, but I still couldn't make it work as expected. I have a DataGrid which has HBox with a CheckBox an a Label as itemRenderer (see Code below). When I tap in to the Cell the standard itemEditor pops up and lets you enter the content of the label. Thats the standard behavior. I works fine except for 2 problems:
If I enter to much text, the horizontal srollbar pops up, and the cell is filled with that scrollbar. As you see I tried to set the horizontalScrollPolicy to off, but that doesnt work at all... I tried to do that for all the different elements, but the failure is still existent. When I have filled more than one row, there is an other mistake happening. If I tap on a row, the datagrid selects the one below that row. That's only if one line is already selected. If I tap outside the datagrid and then, tap at any row the itemEditor of the right row will show up... Is there anything now wright in the setup of my set data method?

Both have single columns. Selecting one item from Divsions datagrid should display members of that Division in the Members datagrid. But following code has some problem and Members of a particular division do not show up when respective Divsion is clicked.

I have a data grid in one frame, then upon moving to the next frame use removeChild to get rid of it, which works fine.But it seems to leave behind the keyDown handler that is naturally part of the component (which is used to navigate the rows of the datagrid).Is there any way to get rid of this?The first time (and only the first time) I press the up or down arrow key in the next frame which does not have the grid, I get the following error:

For poor performance reasons, the DataGrid will cache checkboxes and reuse them for different rows. If you have 50 rows, it won't create 50 checkboxes. It will create as many checkboxes at are visible, plus a few more for padding, and then reuse them as you scroll. This is why you need to explicitly manage their state. How can improve it ? I have a flex component, a VBox, that has content inside it. Text components mainly.The VBox is holding a report that I want to be able to save to PDF. I am using AlivePdf to achieve this but the PDF produced is blank when viewed in Adobe reader (latest version).When I open the PDF in Notepad++ I can see that there is definitely content in there and the file appears to be structured correctly.This is the method I am using to generate the PDF:

Ive got an editable datagrid, and the size allows 16 rows. It is possible for the user to add/remove a row, which would increse/decrease the myDataGrid.rowCount of the datagrid. However, whenever a row is added/removed, the rowCount remains the same (16, which it was created with). Is there another built-in variable other than rowCount that can gauge the ACTUAL rows in the datagrid, not just what it was created with?

What does this mean? I have gone through a bunch of tutorials and none of them have worked. It seems like changing a the colors in a datagrid should be relatively simple.

Below is a very simple example, randomly, if I click the step2 button the state will change but the Step 2 panel will not be there.
I suspect the children of the state are not getting created for some reason, which is why I set the itemCreationPolicy to "immediate", but it makes no difference This is catastrophic for the application because the user is left in limbo and is forced to refresh

When a compile and run the application, the output is entirely blank. The HTML wrapper page does contain the flash application, but the content is blank, even though I have a simple label component on the stage.Also I noticed that when I right-click on the flash object, the default context menu appears, displaying the "Zoom In", "Zoom Out", "Show All", etc..options which are removed from the application by default.If you are interested, here is my code, as easy as it gets. :)

Blank space should not be allowed in Flex Input field... one is fine... but not more than one...
View 3 RepliesI have an mx:TileList which is bound to an ArrayCollection.I have some code that displays a "Loading..." message before modifying the ArracyCollection and some code after that hides the loading message.For small data sets, it works fine. However, I noticed with an array size of about 50~ and larger, flex will hide my loading message before the TileList is finished rendering the new data and I'm left with a blank screen for an odd second.Is there an event I can listen to that is called after the TileList is finished re-rendering? Code looks something like this:
loading_message.visible = true;
for each (var x:Object in new_data) {
tile_list_data.append(x); // bound to my_tile_list component[code]..........
In this example, loading_message appear, disappear, and then the flex app will lag before finally revealing the updated TileList.
