I'm embedding a Flex app in a WordPress page using Matt Carpenter's great plugin. It's a map created using Google Maps' Flash API.
I'm getting an initialization failure. Is that because the API key is in the Flex app and Google can't "see" it? [code]...

I've uploaded all the relevant files onto the server, and I'm fairly sure all the filepaths are correct. The folder containing the .fla and .swf files also contained an index.html file, which I have put into a template. I've tried putting the supplied code into the HTML on the page, I've tried simply using said template, and the best I'm getting is a blank area which doesn't load the flash content.

I wanted to put a search box in my flex app that would act just like google or google finance: you start typing and a drop down list just below starts filtering the results dynamically. Does anyone know how to do this in flex? I am using flex and php so as the user types it will pull results off the server dynamically.

I was wondering whether the idea could be extended even further and make a completely separate Flash/Flex frontend for a website, that uses Wordpress in the back. That would certainly be possible. I am developing an app that has similar functionality as the Google Chrome new tab page. You can see it by opening Chrome and clicking the new page tab. I believe that it was written in jquery or something non-flash. Any source that I could take a look at, if you have done something similar? I will post code as I go.

As I search the web I see this can easily turn into a nightmare as there is no set answer for this question as all answers do not show anything but just tell that the GA code needs to be before the end of the body tag. But I need to double check this as I set all my Flash files the following way
main.swf sits inside an html page
do I still add the GA code to the bottom of the page just before the< /body> ?????
or do I code inside the fla?
Also does this method apply to AS2 and 3?
I have a flash file and am using google's suggested method for as2 event tracking like so:

The problem is that instead of silently communicating, pageTracker._trackEvent() appears to return a boolean value. Every time I click the button which this is located on I leave the page I was on and end up on a page that just contains the word "true".how to get around this? It makes the flash unusable.
We have a flex application which compiles fine on windows box using mxmlc ant task but when we try to run the same build scripts on linux, it throws the 'Invalid Embed directive in stylesheet' error indicating it is not able to resolve the path to the image files.
Can someone pls. educate me on if there is a difference in the way the image files are looked up, in a CSS file, on windows vs linux.
Flex sdk version is 3.3. The same sdk is used on both windows and linux. Not sure if this has been fixed by any future 3.x sdks.
