Flex :: Integrate Pentaho And Google Visualization API?

I have developed one Mondrian schema and cube. I have deployed schema file in Pentaho BI server. I would like to know is it possible to connect these Pentaho schemas and UI technologies like Google Visualization API or Adobe Flex?
While searching for solution I came to know about OLAP4J and icCube, out of which I think OLAP4J is very old project and its not really active project. icCube looks good but it works with its own server, it cannot be integrated with Pentaho BI server.
Right now I am thinking about Google Visualization API and Adobe Flex. Or, is there any other option?Where can I get more information about it?

i have successfully integrated Google earth with Flex using ExternalInterface.call("javascriptMethodName") method and writing the javascript stuff in the html file which embeds the swf file. it ran and loaded Google earth successfully.

I've been playing with the visualization API aka dynamic charts and I've found that the example at [URL] does not really work on localhost. That is, Error calling method on NPObject is thrown when a event is clicked (points A and B in the example aforementioned). I suppose that is a security issue on the server end (Google's flash base).Since that jsFiddle code is hosted on a domain, the note at the very bottom of the documentation should not apply:Because of Flash security settings, this (and all Flash-based visualizations) might not work correctly when accessed from a file location in the browser [URL] rather than from a web server URL [URL] .

I'm trying to integrate the Google Map Api into my flash site. Ive managed to display the map, but there is no marker, also, my map flashes frantically and wont stay stable. This is the AS im using.

I'm trying to find a way to integrate google map in my flash project. I've tried several components that i found on the web, but non of them works properly. The only one that did some kind of work was this:[url]...The problem with it is that when i test the flash on my pc it works fine, but when i upload the flash on the net the map doesn't show. There is instead a sign "We are sorry, but we don't have imagery for this zoom" or something like that.

As stated in the title, I am now trying to create a chart using Google visualization: annotated time line. It's very easy to use and the documentation is fairly easy to understand as well. You can find the documentation here.I run into a problem about the wmode of the chart which is a flash object.The default value of the chart's wmode is "window" and it will always overlay all HTML objects in the same page. That is very annoying, because even the jquery block() method doesn't work on it.
When I change the chart's wmode into "opaque" or "transparent" the chart will not overlay HTML objects with higher z-index, but it doesn't recognize the mouse scroll event. It still catch the mouse click event though.I have tried it in the following browser:

I am preparing an offer for a customer. They proide weekly data to different organizations. There is huge amount data suits OLAP that needed to be visualized with charts and pivot tables on web and custom reports will be built by non-it persons (an easy gui). They will enter a date range, location which data columns to be included and generate report and optionally export the data to Excel. They currently prepare reports with MS Excel with Pivot Tables and but they need a better online tool now to show data to their customers. Tables are huge and need of drill-down functionality. My current knowledge Spring, Flex, MySql, Linux. I have some knowledge of PostgreSQL and MSSQL and Windows. What is the easiest way of doing this project. Do you think that SSRP (haven't tried yet) and ASP.NET better suits for this kind of job. Actually I prefer open source solutions. Flex have OLAP Data Grid control which do aggregation on client side. JasperServer seems promising but it seems I need enterprise version (multiple organizations and ad hoc queries). What about Modrian + Flex + PostgreSQL solution?

I'm currently looking at axiis but am wondering if anyone has found anything similar that worked well for building custom visualization components? I've found some stuff hosted on Google code but haven't found anything very mature yet.

Does anyone know of software or flex/flash/as3 source or visualisation software that could be used to make interactive graphs, where the user would enter a query that would pull data from a MySQL database and the user would build a sunburst or icicle graph by dragging and dropping items into a tree-like structure and they would be able to view the graph? i have attempted to use flare but my programming skills are pretty bad. So far from what i gather, flare only allows the graphing of defined datasets rather than allowing a user to modify the dataset and thus creating a new dataset.

I have a professional license of Flex 3.3. This allows me to create applications using the data visualization components (charts) without watermarks. However, all of release builds (test, production, etc) occur on our build server.
The build server only has the Flex SDK installed (not full Flex Builder). As a result the SWFs compiled with this SDK contain watermarks on all the charts. How can I apply a Flex Builder Professional license to the build server to remove the watermakrs w/o installing Flex Builder?My build environment is Flex SDK 3.3 + CruiseControl.NET + NAnt.

I'm having trouble conceptually understanding how to integrate flex components -- forms, charts, data grids, etc. -- with an existing web app. There are certain aspects of the web application where I believe it makes more sense to use flex -- however, I DO NOT want to replace the (html/js/java) web-app with a pure flex based app.For example, currently the web app displays user data using html tables and java based charts, I'd like to re-implement this "data display" using flex. Would I have to create a flex "application" for the "data display"?

I'm building an application with the Flex framework and the 3D graphics library Flare3D. I want to be able to embed my 3D scene into an MXML application and still have the mouse events dispatched to the 3D scene.
Here is my code:

The problem is that the 3D rendering is done by default in a "layer" that is behind the 2D layer (where we can put MXML components). By default, if we mix 3D and 2D elements, we can't see 3D elements. So I added backgroundAlpha="0". This solved the problem of showing the 3D view. But now I have another problem, I can't move the cube (which is the default behaviour) when I click on the scene and move the mouse. I understand that this is because the 3D view is behind the 2D view.
Is it possible to give the 3D view the focus for mouse events (when it's needed) ? Or is there a different way of doing what I want ? The only hack I figured out is to uncomment this //stage.getChildAt(0).visible = false; which make the 2D view invisible. But I want to mix 2D elements and 3D view, so it's not a solution.

I've built a simple flash application that takes a user's photo/image, offers various effects and filters to play with. In the end, the application can write-out the resulting image to a PDF print file (to be purchased and sent to a printer).Currently I'm using PHP to template the web pages, with the Flash app embedded in the body of one of the pages.
I now need to integrate a shopping cart and check-out system, the idea being that the user can play with images, add various images to a shopping cart, at some point choose print sizes for each image, check-out and purchase etc. My app would attached the necessary print files, and email/submit the order to the printer.In researching the various cart systems out there like Zen-cart, Magento, osCommerce, etc.. these all seem to be full featured CMS systems, full websites, that you deploy, customize and skin, add products to etc... a "canned store". But in my case, I'm adding/creating the product at run-time. It's not a traditional store where you browse and select items.
At first glance its not clear to me how I would use one of these systems, how to integrate with my Flash app.... it seems I only want to make use of the shopping cart, customer database portion, payment transaction features.Is it possible to use one of these, using only the checkout and order management through a API? called from my Flash app? or processed via back-end PHP?

I am writing a Flex application for use on a private intranet with no external Internet access. I want to use Google's 3D Maps Flex API, but it must be connected to the internet to download map tiles on demand.
Is there a way to locally cache the 3D map tiles and data so that I can run this app without an internet connection? And if not, is there a 3D GIS that supports Flex integration and allows for a local map cache?
