Flex :: Saving A MovieClip To Disk As Swf In Air, Then Reading It Again?

i have seen almost all relevant threads on almost whole internet. and i m still confused..i m working on a drawing app ( flex / air ), 1- where user loads image file,(bitmapdata > bitmap > movieclip base layer)2- add layer ( new sprite > movieclip "second object in display list")3- draw on this sprite ( graphics.draw circle / etc, lot of other details etc)4- usr can add more layers etc, name layers etc ... all sprites are of same size as bitmapQ1. now i wanted to save this main movieClip (part of UIComponent ) as swf file. so user can read again and continue work. almost like i do with photoshop.
comment: i know it sounds too generic, to ask such detailed thing. so please be patient..i have been fiddling around with byteArray. and Air File Object,flash.net.fileReference etc..Q2. (main question), i don't want to convert drawn sprites to bitmapdata and then do bytearray. ( in my mind) it will convert everything to pixels, which i don't want.Q3. is there some auto magical line which will do everything..(save drawn vectors / shapes) in sprites as is?? (less chances). if i can read swf as movieClip, i can check sprites for layers and everything else... problem is writing this to disk as swf file.

If a user in the web browser creates some sort of file using my swf and I then want them to be able to store that file on theyre local disk do I -HAVE TO- make a round trip to the server first or is there another way without having to send the file to the server and back to the client again?

I want to also add cuepoints to a live recording video as it is incoming.
I have a live feed incoming from a VideoDisplay object in my Flex Air app, and I would like to be able to record the video/audio of this and save it to disk and/or upload to server.
Is this possible? If so, would it be possible to add CuePoints to the video as it is being streamed live? Right now I am just trying to record a live stream from my VideoDisplay.

Is there a way to download some files directly to the user disk, without browsing? (assuming they give permission of course).FileReference does this, but does not allow to directly save files to the hard disk (if not through browsing).

i am writing a program that need to load photoshowever, there is limitation in flex that users cannot load photos with pixel above 4069 x 4069 into a bitmapdata.how can i check photos pixel before running to error? since some pictures are big nowadays, i would llike to check the user`s system memory and free harddisk space. See if the computer have enough space to load the photos.

I'm running into what I suspect is an elementary problem. On the stage of an .fla I have three MovieClips: square, triangle and line. I reference them in a simple xml document...

When I run this I get the following error...
TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert XML@105087c1 element <clip> to flash.display.MovieClip.
The question is how do I identify the XML element as a MovieClip?

I am changing the flashvars variables v1=value&v2=value ect then after the flash movie runs I am changing the variables externally by javascript, so far so good.when flash first loads it reads the vars correctly.when I try to read them ( after the change ) it keeps reading the old values.[code]everything works except I cannot seem to read the changed FlashVars.

Does anyone know how I can take a MovieClip in Flash and save it to a form as a JPG. I know you can print a MovieClip so I imagine you can save one to a server. I'll try and do my best on explaining what I currently have and what I am trying to do:
I currently have a Flash piece that is a type of configuration tool for a product. Lets say its a Hat Configuration tool. A customer that comes to purchase a hat can change the color, size, stitching, text, fonts, images, etc... and when the are finished the can print their hat, which has all the information and the final picture of the hat as the configured it, or they can send the product via e-mail. Currently the send via e-mail just sends the information as a text file via an ASP process page. What I need to do is send the movieclip as an Image (JPG) to the server.

I am developing iOS app in Adobe AIR and Adobe Flash CS5.5... It's basically a huge timeline of movie clips with entrance screen. What I want to do is somehow create an external AS or TXT file, in which I got few movie clips defined as visible/hidden. I want the movie itself to change those states of the movie clips in the external file when it reaches certain frames in the main timeline, so that the next time you open the app and its entrance screen, there are buttons (movie clips) made visible there which can link/bring you to the previously reached frame.

I am using a movieclip "table" that is attached on the enter frame event at the main scene. I am trying to save variable "money" and I use this code inside the movieclip, when I test the movie it shows me money1 as undefined and I cant find why! I have used _root. and doesn't work.

I am creating an application in Flash CS4 that will load data from an XML file and add a movieClip for each item to the stage. Each movie clip contains a NumericStepper component and Input text field.
The user needs to be able to change the fields and update the XML file for the event.CHANGE event.
The XML file needs to be formed like this. I need to be able to navigate between sections and load the data for each one.

I need to make a small app accessible to screen reader.I'm managing to make buttons accessible, but I would also like to have a section of text accessible by screen readers so that users can hear what the text says.
I can't seem to work out how to do this.. I've tried various text controls and set them as focusEnabled, tabEnabled, i've set the accessibility* attributes too but it never seems to work, I cannot tab to a text label and hear the content.
I'm honestly a little new to accessiblity in Flex so apologies if i'm missing something obvious.

I need to read the URL that the browser shows when a Flex application is called because I would to reference it in a mxml configuring Cairngorm remote objects. The goal I would reach is to automatically configure Cairngorm services from environment to environment (dev,test,qa,prod) without statically set the value in the mxml or other ActionScript. Since the Flex client is deployed in the root of the war of the webapp, it's enough to read where the browser is pointing.
I have written a class that is doing so:

Cairngorm services initialization is done as follow:

I'm trying to copy my SQLite file that is used in my Air app to user's selected directory using

I am trying to send a bytearray extracted from a file to the C code and return that bytearray again from the C code..I am printing the contents of the return value from C in a text view contents.text but all i can see is the byte array object "OggS".
