I have a line chart with a column chart as a secondary series. When I roll over the line, the datatips appear. However, if I move the mouse to a spot where a column appears while still on the line, the data tip item appears for the line AND the column. How do I get it so that I only show datatips for the line but not the column?

The new series name appear on the chart, but the data doest, and the chart always remains blank.
Flex charts, like AreaChart, have wonderful built-in support for displaying data "tool tips" when a user hovers over a point supplied in the data of a graph. You can hover over any of the bar graph examples on this page for a demonstration. I have a graph situation where I optionally draw in some dots as reference points on CartesianDataCanvases supplied to my AreaChart through it's <mx:annotationElements> and <mx:backgroundElements> tags.
I would like to have the same hover data-tip functionality that the AreaChart has, but applied to these dots. I realize that I am just drawing on canvas, and that no actual dataProvider supports these dots, but if there was a way to supply the CartesianDataCanvas with an array of data values or something to that effect,
I have a Line Series Chart in Flex with values from 0 to 90. I would like to set the background of the chart in such a way that, 0 - 30 is in green, 31 - 60 is in red and 61 - 90 is in blue.

If I do this immediately after setting the dataProvider the chart has not yet updated, so the the call to localToData will not return the correct values. Is there an event I can subscribe to so I know the chart has drawn the data in the dataProvider?

Is it possible to tell flex to display a chart with no visible axis? I want the contents of the chart to take up all the available space. I can set the visibility on the AxisRenderer to false which will hide the axis but that leaves an empty space where the axis would usually be. How can I remove this empty space?

I've tried setting the height on the renderer but that has no effect, and there is no height style on the axis itself.
I have a LineChart continaing 6 lineseries. I should be able to pass parametrers to server using HTTPservice. But then the returned XML may contain information for a single line series or for all the lineseries. Now, what I want to show/hide some of the chart tiems if it's below/above some value. I am using the 'Label' component as 'itemRenderer' and overriding the 'data' function (find my renderer component below..).
If the size of the dataprovider of the chart is greater than '100', I want to hide all the 'events' with 'low' severity. For that I need to get a reference to the dataprovider, but not sure how... ?

show all datatips for a single lineseries in a Flex 3 linechart. This chart will have multiple lines and the functionality we're looking for is when a user hovers over a line, show all datatips associated with just that series.
showAllDataTips will not work in this case as it will display all datatips on the chart.
We get data from multiple feeds and data may or may not exist for a certain date. o, for points that have no data we send NaN.

I want a chart that has several separate series running in rows across. They are largely separate charts and should not overlap, but all share the same horizontal datetimeaxis. They don't share the same y-axis, however and that's where I'm getting stuck.I have tried having a linechart series and then a plotchart series, but it will only allow a single <mx:series> per chart without having them inside the same series which as far as I can tell will place the charts on top of each other in the z-axis. I can stack them and have them completely separate charts, but it was proving to be somewhat irritating having them align correctly.
Is there any reasonable way of combining multiple charts into one like this? Basically having rows in a table where each row is a different chart but the columns are consistent. or am I going to be best served just by stacking separate ones? an illustration of what i'm going for is here: http:[url]........

I've got the base case working but I am stuck with 2 problems I cant seem to figure out:
Since I am drawing around the text, the actual height of each bubble is greater than that of the Text field, as a result, the last bubble is always chopped off. I have tried explicitly overriding the height getter, and adding some padding, but I cant seem to get it right. You can see an example here: [URL] In my layout, I have 2 VBoxes (one nested inside the other). The first vbox shows a form where the user can enter a comment, and the second box has all the comments. In order to ensure that the scrollbars only show up on the second box, I set minHeight="0" on the nested VBox, but then for some reason, some comments' text is shifted to the right. I am displaying a graph with 10 random values and based on the values i am trying to change the itemrenderer values like CandlestickItemRenderer and BoxItemRenderer. Now my requirement was, if the values are > 10 i want to show my chart with CandlestickItemRenderer else i want to show the remaining spots as BoxItemRenderer. I am failing to do this. Either i am getting all the shapes as BoxItemRenderer or CandlestickItemRenderer. i am sending the code as a text file along with this.

I have a data grid. How can I hide a value of a column if it's "0" ? Do I have to use item renderers? How? Is there an easier way? Second thing, if I have a boolean column whose values are actually the strings "true" and "false" how can I render it as a non editable check box?

AS you can see I inlude the retail customer view in the retail state and the wholesale customer view in the wholesale state. The problem is that when I run my app they don't appear on neither state.
