show all datatips for a single lineseries in a Flex 3 linechart. This chart will have multiple lines and the functionality we're looking for is when a user hovers over a line, show all datatips associated with just that series.
showAllDataTips will not work in this case as it will display all datatips on the chart.
I have a line chart with a column chart as a secondary series. When I roll over the line, the datatips appear. However, if I move the mouse to a spot where a column appears while still on the line, the data tip item appears for the line AND the column. How do I get it so that I only show datatips for the line but not the column?

I tried to attach a single NetStream to two video objects and offset them, but that only let the stream play on one object.
I am working on a model of the heart and have written Tween(s) that show a single contraction - relaxation of the auricles and ventricles. I would like to have this morphing action repeat upon clicking on a button and stop on clicking on the button again. It would also be great if the repeat frequency (fps), heart rate could be varied. I suspect something like this has been done before, not necessarily the heart, maybe like a squirrel running in a cage with variable speed.

View 2 RepliesIn a LineChart in Flex you can set a LineSeries to interpolateValues="true" what this does is connect missing values so you do not have gaps in your line. But what I would like is for it to insert 0's for the missing fields instead of drawing a direct line to fill the gap.
Is there a way to set it to do that?

I need to recalculate the max value of lineChart according to the visible lineseries. In the application I have the ability to make visible or not the lineseries of the graph and if I make not visible the lineseries with the actual top value I want to zoom in and change the top value of the graph.

View 1 RepliesI wrote a function to override y FLEX LineChart's datatips because the default datatips were ugly and rather boring.I finally set the style I wanted but am now having some problems removing un-necessary tags from being displayed in the custom datatips.For example, the datatips now display things like this:
"<b>Humidity</b></BR>2010-07-05T00:15:00"
I can always perform a "Replace()" to remove those break and bold HTML tags, but that seems really un-necessary and anti-development.I am using this to set the dataTip's label text:

I've created a Flex LineChart that shows high and low tide predictions over time. I'm using the LineSeries with form="curve", which produces a nice sinusoidal wave graph, representing water level over time. The X-axis represents time, and the Y-axis represents water level. The only data points I have to work with are high and low tide values, but I would like to figure out how to determine the y-values of arbitrary x-values along the line.[code]

You can easily set a stroke on a line series like this:

This will set alpha for the entire stroke to .8 But I want to be able to set a different alpha on the stoke for each plot based on something in the dataProvider. For example the yField in the lineSeries is "Apple" which is how it knows where to plot for the lineSeries. I want to be able to add something like alphaField which tells it what to set the stroke alpha for each plot.

View 1 RepliesI am implementing a LineChart in FLEX 4. I have the chart working well except I do not like the default colors and cannot use them, as they do not relate to my data very well. For instance, Orange is not a great default color for my data column "Outdoor temperature". I would rather override it and use a green color if possible.
When I explicitly specify the SolidColorStroke, like so, this breaks the LineChart Legend:

^ With this code, The LineChart Legend stops displaying the color for that specific LineSeries, and only displays in black.

Is this a FLEX 4 bug? I noticed in FLEX 3 examples (even on Adobe's FLEX 3 Help website) you can override the stroke colors and it persists to the Chart Legend.
I have a LineChar, with one LineSeries, on which i am drawing values ( Y axis ), on specific time ( X axis ).The problem is that i don't wanna the points which is distanced on a specific distance in time ( let say 6 hours ) to be connected.Is there a way to make LineSeries with DateTimeAxis not connecting points distanted in specific time ?

You can hover over any of the bar graph examples on this page for a demonstration. I have a graph situation where I optionally draw in some dots as reference points on CartesianDataCanvases supplied to my AreaChart through it's <mx:annotationElements> and <mx:backgroundElements> tags.
I would like to have the same hover data-tip functionality that the AreaChart has, but applied to these dots. I realize that I am just drawing on canvas, and that no actual dataProvider supports these dots, but if there was a way to supply the CartesianDataCanvas with an array of data values or something to that effect,

I have one MC that he has an gray color, when I compel it, it is gray, everything is fine so far. I had to create one param in the HTML pra to be able to change at any time of the MC color ex:"meuFlash.swf?&cf1=ff3300>...", any time that I change this MC color , my MC change too. I create this. [AS]new Color (fundo_mc.fundos_mc).setRGB (parseInt (cf1, 16));[/AS] My problem is the following one, when I speak in the HTML that I do not want to use this color "ff3300", I only want to use "meuFlash.swf?...", mine MC are all black, it are not of the gray color that I already had left, I do not know because it is all black.
View 2 RepliesI'm using CS3 and want to know if it's possible to give more than 1 instance name to a single MC using AS2? The reason I ask is I have a bunch of templates that I want to load (one at a time) into a master swf that will be used for scaling & positioning of movie clips (which data will be saved to an XML file) in all the loaded swf files. I would like to have some code in the loaded clips that the master swf could use for controlling it's movie clips. This code would reassign the clips a second name so the master swf recognizes the clips in the loaded swfs and is able to manipulate them.
The problem now is I have a lot of template swf files with all different named movie clips and changing all of there instance names one by one will take a long time.I imagine that unless the clips were allowed 2 different names and were just assigned a new one, that it would stop any preexisting code from working correctly.
